I’m at a loss of words of how satisfied I am with Mr. Hallauer and his team
This is my first experience ever having to hire an attorney and for someone who didn’t have a criminal history and going through some pretty serious charges with the ATF. Mr. Hallauer and his team worked diligently with the Commonwealth of Virginia to prove my innocence and get my case dismissed completely! Told me my $300 for consultation would go towards my payment but withheld the fact i needed to retain them within 24 hours for that to happen. Then the other party reached out to the lawyer and asked him to do work for them and they charged me for it. There’s plenty of other lawyers in Virginia Beach with better integrity than this.

I gave them 1 star because I called to get my remaining balance to pay off. Their accounting person was awful and rude. She did not know what the fees are being charged for nor the remaining balance that I would had to speak to the lawyer handling the case to get the final balance. That was fine but why be nasty and rude if clients are asking. They really need to train their front office or accounting staff better customer service or how to properly talk to clients better. My husband called a second time and asked to speak to a specific paralegal or lawyer involved in the case to get the final balance and they mistakenly transferred him to this accounting person they had again. She was soo rude and spoke to us both slowly like you are talking to a 1st grader like we did not speak any English. I do not know if it’s because of our last name but we both were born in the states so there was no need to belittle people that are trying to pay off their remaining balance. Makes me think she speaks to all foreigners this way and everybody should be spoken with respect regardless what race, former or current client. We will not be using them ever again for any services knowing they have rude and nasty accounting or front office staff that are not properly trained. I will also be telling others I know about this awful experience.

I cannot begin to say enough good things about Regina and her assistant Carol! Regina brings the ideal combination of professionalism, expertise, precision, and persistence tempered with genuine understanding and empathy. In particular, she is VERY knowledgeable with the intricacies surrounding military divorce proceedings, a true expert! There are not enough word to describe Mrs. Amick. When I met Regina, she was my second consult. The first attorney didn't feel right. I spent an hour with Regina and it was that hour that changed my entire mind set about my divorce. Without going into the details of my divorce, I needed an attorney who would fight for me no matter what. I needed someone to hear my side of what happened, to be fair as to what was due to me based on the time of my marriage and not an attorney who was going to hurry the process along to move on to someone new. Regina made me feel like I was her only client. I never had any problem with her reaching out to me or communicating back. Respectful of her time with other clients and court dates, not to mention the amount of time she gives to the community and service to her peers, I had more respect for her work life balance the more I worked along with her. She is patient, persistent, thorough, extremely knowledgeable in the law and will fight for you like you are her own family. I cannot imagine going through what I did for as long as I did without her and Carol. They are the most genuine, kind, caring and amazing team to have on your side. Regina and Carol, thank you. Alison anders commits legal malpractice and is a professional liar. She refused to take me as a client solely on the basis she thinks I'm too poor. She charged me 450 for a 15 minute consultation where she rudely insinuated I have no right to my son. Shes a professional scam artist that uses her career to steal from people. She should be prison. She was my attorney for over two years. I really feel I did most of the work and she charged me for it. I was never charged paralegal rates for simple tasks or quick emails, she always charged me her full rate. She and her paralegal were incompetent when it came to navigating basic google drive etc. I had entire drive prepared myself with folders of evidence and information and neither of them could navigate it. Plenty of times she was unprofessional towards me, the opposing counsel and the judge. She often made me feel uncomfortable or stupid for asking questions about my own case or proceedings. On one occasion she called me an hour before our big trial claiming to have "lost" all the documents and requesting I bring all my own copies. She was then late to that trial, annoying the judge. During the trial she let the opposing counsel talk circles around her. It wasn't until I no longer used her services and did the continuing litigation on my own that I started actually getting the results I desired and began avoiding unnecessary or prolonged litigation. If you are searching for a legit attorney who will work FOR YOU I strongly recommend you hire someone other than Rita Ros-Planas.

I regret to inform that my experience with The Coastal Virginia Law Firm Of Brook M. Thibault P.C. was profoundly disappointing and lacked the professional rigor one would expect. Engaging Mr. Thibault as my attorney, I anticipated a robust advocacy for my interests. Unfortunately, the reality was a hurried and disjointed process that led to a custodial agreement deeply unsatisfactory to my needs—one that was not only settled without my prior consent but also executed without my signature.
The lack of communication was a significant issue throughout the process, exacerbated by the non-cooperation of the opposing party. Despite these challenges, the expectation was that my legal representation would navigate these complexities with professional diligence. Instead, there was a premature rush to resolution, evidenced by Mr. Thibault’s unilateral decisions to sign off on agreements and letters without my input.
This approach not only compromised my legal standing but also resulted in substantial financial loss without achieving the desired legal outcomes. WARNING - DO NOT USE - I don’t normally write reviews but this one I’m doing because I wish someone had told me. I’ve have actually filed a complaint with the VA State Bar. I paid in October 2017 for an easy divorce as we had a prenup. She finally told me in March that I would have my papers in 4 to 6 weeks - the word “guaranteed” was said several times, which stood out because nobody, let alone an attorney, would say that. Now comes August & she finds out we need affidavits. Stating she and the opposing attorney didn’t think they would need them. I don’t know who the opposing attorney is because he didn’t have one. She will call so it shows unknown caller that goes straight to voicemail and will then deny she did that. Still no divorce. Use at your own risk now.

I thought I would have a great experience with this law office, but almost every time I would get in touch with the office, it took forever to have my case worked on. Any action on my case was so delinquent, that I was offered a small refund, which I feel is a great P.R. gesture.
One month ago, I was told "the check is in the mail". I emailed this exact statement recently to the office, and I still have not heard back.
The continuous delays and excuses really turned me off. Very disappointed is an understatement.

Ms. Pack did the absolute bare minimum for me and my custody case. She had all the information and evidence needed to make a very strong win, yet did almost nothing. She was unprepared for every hearing and trial, did not present any of the pages upon pages of documentation I provided her, and basically just stood up and told the judge that it's in the kids' best interest to be with me, without showing the hard facts right in front of her. i would've been better off representing myself! She very clearly doesn’t care, or doesn’t know what she’s doing.

I was referred to Ashli from a couple of people who had used her for their divorces in the past. Divorce is a very emotional situation to be in, Ashli helped calm any fears. She was able to help guide me in what many "standards" there were for specific items related to insurance, life insurance, secondary education, etc. Ashli was efficient and timely in completing my case, and she was always upfront about items that were irrelevant to the divorce.

I could not have asked for a more supportive, thorough, and professional experience during a very difficult custody trial. This was one of the longest custody trials that our judge has ever seen. Throughout my experience, from the initial phone call to the final day of court, I felt well taken care of and I was confident the best interest of my child was always at the forefront of the case. Mr. Jeffries was straightforward throughout the entire process, steadfast, and provided me with the confidence I needed to make it through this trial. Michelle, his assistant, always greeted me in a warm and friendly manner and was a pleasure to work with as well.

I hired Mr. Jacks to represent me in a contested divorce and he took my money and did practically nothing . He lied about the court not responding to his request for a hearing date and kept waiting on the opposing council to make the first moves. He wouldn’t provide regular updates since he actuallywasn’t doing anything. When I questioned him about his lack of effort, he kept suggesting I get a local attorney but hasn’t offered to refund my money. The only one he seems interested in fighting with is me. I guess my mistake was paying him up front !!! Stay far away from this guy. I will be filing a formal complaint with the VA State Bar.

I hired this attorney to represent me for a traffic & civil infraction. After evidence required by discovery was shared by the arresting department Mr. Jack’s proceeded to inform me of my guilt and what the judge would sentence me possibly without even looking at or considering the discovery evidence. He neglected to even watch my arrest or what transpired on the video provided to my disappointment.
Mr. Jack’s did not want to do the job for which I hired him and was just going through the motions to collect the money I paid him for defense. I suggest hiring an attorney that will defend you instead of one who just agrees with the prosecution to push you through the system.
