I was referred to Eric Beyer after a car hit my car. My car went to the cemetery and I into a neck brace. My first call to SiebenCarey PI Law firm Rita answered and asked questions to obtain all the important information. I was impressed with her thoroughness and efficiency. As a business professional, I have required legal services for countless situations over my lifetime. Mostly for normal business dealings, though a few were more adversarial in nature. In either case, selecting the best attorney for the situation is obviously important. When our family was faced with a situation involving a family member being falsely accused, I found myself out of my element as family law was an area I had never needed to explore. I did know however, not having the best attorney in this particular case would mean a devastating outcome and a tarnished record that would haunt us for a very long time.
My vast and extensive research brought our family to Usow Law and thank goodness it did. Simply put, Jody Usow is an extraordinary attorney in every way. From the beginning, she was great at managing the expectations, the process and our family. Even though our emotions and frustrations would sometimes run wild due to the unjust accusations, Jody always managed to recenter us and focus on the law and her plan to succeed.
Jody's experience and overall strategy in dealing with the opposition was brilliant. I was very impressed with her proactive tactics that set the stage for a favorable outcome. Watching Jody in the courtroom was a sight to behold. Measured and mild-mannered up until the petitioner's testimony became clearly disingenuous, and the lion was unleashed. In this day and age when we have so little accountability, it was thrilling to watch a dishonest person eviscerated on the witness stand during cross-examination due to their lack of integrity and vengeful actions. Needless to say, Jody was so compelling in the courtroom that the case was dismissed without her client (our side) ever needing to testify. Jody brought this 4-month nightmare our family was living, to an end!

I initially hired Jody to assist with a temporary restraining order case I was facing where my child’s mother over exaggerated an argument and lied to police to get the TRO. Jody stepped in last minute literally the day before, heard my story, met me at court and represented me for the hearing. The TRO was granted but Jody being the realist she is, let me know going into the hearing that it would likely be granted and why. Even then I appreciated her honesty and willingness to represent me on such short notice. After the TRO hearing my child’s mother decided she did not want me to see him so I continued to work with Jody with the goal of getting 50/50 custody and placement. Jody has proven to be a beast in the court room at every hearing we’ve had. She is very professional, down to earth, respected by the court and she knows her stuff! Her assistant Nick is just as awesome! We all worked together to accomplish the end goal and they were both very professional, nonjudgmental, and willing to educate me every step of the way. Nick even took the time to call and find out officers were in office, and ride his bicycle to the district to serve them for a court hearing the next day because they had not been able to be reached or served. I enjoyed working with Jody and her staff especially with this all being new to me, she would always answer my very long emails or phone calls in a timely manner, she worked with my family members/friends who were helping me with testifying or confirming information, and she understood how important it was to me to be apart of my sons life and have him be apart of my family and his siblings lives. She took time to educate me on what was happening throughout the entire custody battle and was patient with me when I did not do my part in a timely manner. At the end of my case, I got everything I wanted 50/50 placement and custody, even with the mother having representation and even with the TRO in place- which was a blessing in disguise because Jody fought for the mother and I to have court ordered communication through Our Family wizard where everything is documented for lawyers or the court to be able to access with no way for parents to delete information. Jody has been a huge blessing to me and my family and was worth every penny! Even after my case closed she followed up, gave me great advice and encouraged me to reach out to her if needed. I highly highly recommend and she will be the first name I give to anyone going through any family court disputes.

Seeking a divorce attorney was very challenging. I needed an attorney who could work with a complex process. My first attorney failed me - he declined to seek out a VITAL portion of my MSA! Frustrated and spent (one year of time and many dollars wasted), I declined to agree with the substandard MSA, and instead pushed myself to seek better representation.
After a long and scrutinizing search, I came across Mandy Caffee's office. I made a phone inquiry and felt very encouraged, so I drove the miles to meet her. Mandy was professional, organized, and kept me encouraged, even as I explained how my first attorney let me down. Mandy understood I lived a distance from her office, so she made sure I could communicate easily with her - she upheld this 110%!
After two years, and two attorneys (Mandy Caffee as my 2nd), my divorce was finalized. Mandy was professional, well organized, driven, and fierce. She validated my concerns, dug deep into a newer process (all while being open and honest with the progress), and made sure I wasn't walked on by my ex-spouse. I left the courtroom feeling confident in the new and well improved MSA , as well as my life moving forward. I can't imagine how things would have been if I simply settled with the outcome from my first attorney.

After all of the divorce dust has settled, I can't imagine having gone through this process without Sheila Romell. She provided me with excellent guidance and representation, and was always there to be my voice of reason amidst all of the emotions that often times occur during the divorce process. I am 100% certain that I faired better in this process having hired Sheila to represent me! The property division laws in Wisconsin can be unfair compared to some "at fault" states, in my opinion, and I truly believe Sheila protected me and my assets from an unfair or disproportionate division.
Some attorneys will stir the pot, or willingly fight over things, it seems. Not Sheila! On countless occasions, she reminded me that the "things" I wanted weren't always worth the cost of going after them, which I appreciated. Her goal always seemed to be the protection of my best interests, vs unnecessarily bantering with the opposing counsel in order to drive up a bill. That isn't to say that Sheila isn't a well respected attorney, or a fighter, if need be! She seemed to be very well known, and carried herself incredibly well.
Going into my "surprise" divorce, I was wondering how I could afford the legal fees, and whether I would come out in one piece. After the dust has settled, I now know that I couldn't afford NOT to hire Sheila, and am incredibly happy that I did!
I have nothing but good things to say about my representation by Sheila Romell. You hire an attorney for protection, amongst other things. I felt like a lamb going against a wolf in my divorce. Ann Rothstein isn't afraid to walk out of your situation with new enemies. We sat and fought in the mediation of my divorce and placement for hours until we walked out with almost 50% placement and no child support order. Not being from the area, I interviewed multiple lawyers trying to find the right lawyer to take on my daughters divorce and child custody case. My first conversation with her set her apart from all others as she talked to me herself for quite sometime to get details this is before she was ever hired. She gave me great specific and honest facts about Wisconsin laws, what we were facing and how we would need to approach the case. We hired her and she jumped right in, was available anytime. This is something very rare in a lawyer. She is one of a kind. I found her to be great in and out of the courtroom. She guided us to a relatively quick divorce with equal shared custody and placement. This was not an easy case, but she made it happen. Also, as for her as a person, she is just like family. She is so caring and truly has been there for us and with us. We just love her as a lawyer and a friend.

Renee helped us with a couple of custody cases and an adoption. Everyone in her office was easy to work with and very responsive.
Renee was referred to us by a number of friends and professionals. The only people I spoke to that did not like her were individuals that were on the opposing side of a case. Which is exactly what we needed. She is thorough, and having her on our side really made us feel much better about a difficult experience.
Our case was complex but Renee was able to sift through the details, lay out our options, and help us get going in the right direction, ending with our desired result of the adoption of our son.

Renee represented me during a rough time in my life while I was attempting to obtain a restraining order.
She took her time to get to know the details of my case prior to the court date and answered all of my questions. I never felt like I was rushed during our meetings or that I had to re-explain myself. She just "got it". Her staff was also helpful and organized with their paperwork/email communication.
As someone who has never gone to court for anything before, my anxiety about the entire process was high. However, when Renee met me at the courthouse, my anxiety diminished. With her assistance prior to court, I felt prepared. And, more importantly, she was fully present and ready to handle my case. Lindsey was the best thing to happen to me after my divorce. My ex had a large percentage of placement of our child and had been put in a position of power over me, making me feel like I had no option other than to barely see my son and pay an arm and a leg in child support.
After hiring Lindsey (and a lengthy legal battle against my ex) I am in a much better position. She helped me through filing motions, finding compromise, and even communicating with my ex. Attorney Bandle made a difficult time easier to navigate with her professionalism and experience. She was always easy to reach with questions and concerns. When you are going through something as emotional as a divorce, you need someone who is calm, cool and very competent at your side. Mr. Fozard is kind, professional and he stays focused on the goal. My ex-wife went through two different attorneys and both of them tried starting silly arguments with us that quite frankly just rack up the legal fees . . . .. good for the lawyers, bad for the clients. Mr. Fozard shut that down immediately and kept the process moving forward.
Also of note, his communication and follow through are absolutely outstanding. While hopefully I will never need his services again, I know I will be keeping in touch with him, as he is that type of individual!

Margaret (Peggy) represented me during my divorce. My ex-husband and I were going to try to do a pro-se divorce on our own. The paperwork was very difficult to navigate. In short, Elisabeth has been wonderful to work with. Her approach is to be a concerned listener first which puts both of us in a better position to negotiate without compromising on the issues I feel most strongly about. She is always thinking ahead on what will need to happen next in the legal process and is very diligent in keeping me posted on what is going on with my case.
Being such a good listener also has the advantage that she is often the 'calm' in my 'storm' when I am experiencing high levels of anxiety with what is happening between myself and the other party.

Paul handled what was a messy divorce to start with. From start to finish, finances and child custody went smoothly considering the circumstances. I recently ended a long-term marriage and -in so doing- found myself slowly being pulled towards a contested divorce trial. My ex-spouse and I found difficulties in reaching a compromise and she was in no hurry to move the divorce forward. My wife and I were looking a lawyer to write our wills and we found Kyle. The first thing that sold us was his prices were incredible. I didn't think we would be able to afford a will for both of us, but because of his prices we were able to easily afford one for both my wife and I. His belief is that wills should be affordable so everyone can have one written up, and it shows.
