I came across Nelson law firm as I was preparing to start a trust account. I could just tell during my initial conversation with Drew that he clearly understood the best approach for me to take. He explained every step of the process and encouraged me to ask questions. About 3 weeks after completing the questionnaire with my relevant information I went to his office to complete the process. What I really appreciated was that Drew talked with me, not at me, like some attorneys have done to me before. I’m extremely pleased with his professional approach. Long Story Short
Two years ago, there was a major hailstorm in Hudson, WI. I requested a quote to repair the hail damage to my house from a trusted contractor I had used before: Element Exteriors. They came back with a quote of $32,000 to replace siding, gutters and the roof. I submitted my claim to my insurance company. They sent out an Adjuster to appraise the damage. After reviewing their Adjuster's report, they came back with an offer of $2,500 after my $1700 deductible. They didn't see the need for replacement, only minor repairs. Obviously, I disagreed with their assessment since most of my neighborhood had roof, siding and gutters replaced. Most notably, the neighbors on both sides of me.
The State of Wisconsin has a law that if there is a disagreement on the settlement, there must be an Independent Appraisal. My insurance company refused to participate in or authorize an Independent Appraisal, which was against Wisconsin State Law. So, I hired Drew Nelson at Nelson and Lindquist to force my insurance company to comply with Wisconsin Law. After two years of fighting with my insurance company, Drew was able to get my insurance company to agree to an Independent Appraisal. After the Independent Appraisal and engaging in the "Mediation Process", Drew was able to convince my insurance company to pay what we felt the policy required of them and I was able to move forward with the replacement of my roof and siding.

Renee helped us with a couple of custody cases and an adoption. Everyone in her office was easy to work with and very responsive.
Renee was referred to us by a number of friends and professionals. The only people I spoke to that did not like her were individuals that were on the opposing side of a case. Which is exactly what we needed. She is thorough, and having her on our side really made us feel much better about a difficult experience.

Renee represented me during a rough time in my life while I was attempting to obtain a restraining order.
She took her time to get to know the details of my case prior to the court date and answered all of my questions. I never felt like I was rushed during our meetings or that I had to re-explain myself. She just "got it". Her staff was also helpful and organized with their paperwork/email communication.
As someone who has never gone to court for anything before, my anxiety about the entire process was high. However, when Renee met me at the courthouse, my anxiety diminished. From our first phone call I knew Megan was the right Attorney to represent me. She was direct and honest; clearly understanding what I was going through before the phone call was even complete. When I needed to get custody of my daughter quickly I was referred to Ginger at Your Family Law Center. She met with my wife and I promptly to discuss the situation we found our daughter in. Not only was she able to find information about my ex and her husband to properly paint the picture of horror my daughter was living in. But with her incredible work we were granted exactly what we needed to provide our daughter with a more stable and healthier home environment. I would highly recommend Ginger, so much so that I have already referred a family member to her services. Ginger was kind and understanding with my ex's situation but demanded no nonsense in the matter of our daughter's safety.

Lindsey was the best thing to happen to me after my divorce. My ex had a large percentage of placement of our child and had been put in a position of power over me, making me feel like I had no option other than to barely see my son and pay an arm and a leg in child support.
After hiring Lindsey (and a lengthy legal battle against my ex) I am in a much better position. She helped me through filing motions, finding compromise, and even communicating with my ex. Upon first meeting Stephen, the first thing I noticed was how humble he is. This is obviously a man who in his field because he really believes in the work he does. When you are going through something as emotional as a divorce, you need someone who is calm, cool and very competent at your side. Mr. Fozard is kind, professional and he stays focused on the goal. My ex-wife went through two different attorneys and both of them tried starting silly arguments with us that quite frankly just rack up the legal fees . . . .. good for the lawyers, bad for the clients. Mr. Fozard shut that down immediately and kept the process moving forward.
Also of note, his communication and follow through are absolutely outstanding. While hopefully I will never need his services again, I know I will be keeping in touch with him, as he is that type of individual!

In short, Elisabeth has been wonderful to work with. Her approach is to be a concerned listener first which puts both of us in a better position to negotiate without compromising on the issues I feel most strongly about. She is always thinking ahead on what will need to happen next in the legal process and is very diligent in keeping me posted on what is going on with my case.

Paul handled what was a messy divorce to start with. From start to finish, finances and child custody went smoothly considering the circumstances. Paul was straight forward but encouraging and knows his profession to a "T". We went to trial and witnesses were called. The witnesses that were called told me that Paul made them feel comfortable on the stand, even when nervous his smile and demeanor reassured and calmed them. His arguments showed his years in a successful practice. Things ended up what was best for our family and I would recommend Paul Cornnett to anyone.

I recently ended a long-term marriage and -in so doing- found myself slowly being pulled towards a contested divorce trial. My ex-spouse and I found difficulties in reaching a compromise and she was in no hurry to move the divorce forward. Further, I had little knowledge of the divorce laws, the legal processes of divorce or the court system in general as this was my first exposure to a trial. I was really out of my comfort zone in such matters.
I came to Rhonda not only for her AAML certification and extensive divorce experience but, in researching her background further, I found that she had a good record for moving cases forward. Her and her team did an absolutely outstanding job. They moved my case forward -and to its completion- expediently and with a good outcome. Further, they dealt with me with patience, understanding and great communication so that I came to a comfort level as the case progressed.
Divorce is clearly difficult and challenging for a number of reasons. I am very grateful that Rhonda was so adept at dealing with the legal aspects of my divorce so that I was able to deal with the other challenges that came with this process.

My wife and I were looking a lawyer to write our wills and we found Kyle. The first thing that sold us was his prices were incredible. I didn't think we would be able to afford a will for both of us, but because of his prices we were able to easily afford one for both my wife and I. His belief is that wills should be affordable so everyone can have one written up, and it shows.
He did an excellent job taking the time to answer all my questions and walking me through the documents that needed to be filled out. He is very thorough as well.

It is now about 10 years since Attorney Steiner handled a divorce and custody case for our family. Without her thorough knowledge of legal theory and unwavering pursuit of pertinent evidence a child's life would have been subjected to very unfortunate circumstances. Attorney Ortman Miller is a sensible, knowledgeable, fair, tough and responsive lawyer. Erica was the only one willing to help me. My original lawyer was as worthless as tits on a bore hog. The second one I talked to pretty much never responded to following ups and the third said I didn't have a chance. Erica listened to my situation and didn't make any promises but was willing to help me. She got more done in a couple of months than the others over years. The most important thing to me was that I believe she was genuinely on my side. Wish I would have found her in the first place. It's great not having to pay alimony anymore to someone who hates you and makes a descent income and lives with her boyfriend. Some guys get what they deserve but a lot don't and in this state, men are definitely starting out on the losing side. Thanks to people like Erica, we might stand a chance for a fair hearing.

When my ex-wife petitioned for sole placement, I was terrified that I wouldn’t experience all the joys of being a father – coaching my kid’s baseball team, going camping and fishing. But Erica was there for me. She not only made me feel like I had a right to be with my kids, but she got the court to respect those rights too.
When my ex “didn’t feel” like dropping off the kids for the weekend even though we had agreed that the weekend was my time with them, Erica took my frantic phone call, after 5:00 on a Friday! She got a hold of my ex’s attorney and somehow convinced them to let me see my sons.
