Unfortunately, I've had to use Renee Lee far too many times. First, for my divorce from 2012-2014 and many instances since. She is reliable, determined, and committed. She has done a fabulous job every time that I've had to use her. She almost got me 50/50 custody of my son. I have him 12 days out of 30, and all holidays and school breaks are 50/50. I contacted Jack to ask for help with my Support Modification. After talking through the details and asks of the petition, Jack laid out the process in front of me to make sure I was prepared for all outcomes. The entire team quickly jumped on some immediate needs and scheduling to make sure I had the right support to put my best case in front of the judge. We had several hurdles to deal with as well as an impending trial date, but I felt like the entire team rallied around me to get me prepared. Josh and I worked together over several sessions to create a fair strategy and proactively address the key issues. In what was supposed to be my trial date, Josh quickly jumped on an issue that perhaps the judge had not reviewed key submissions and requested a continuance to make sure everything was considered. That instinct proved to be correct as the judge had not reviewed everything and while that pushed a decision out, it was the right move. Being forced into an unwanted divorce situation, I asked our business attorney's for the best recommendation they could give me (Lasher Firm in Seattle) and it was Mr. James Shipman. I can't say enough on how excellent Mr. Shipman has been as well as his staff in handling me as well as the divorce situation. He has been kind and understanding as well as very thorough. James handled our custody mediation case. From the start he was straightforward with us about the probable outcome. He laid out the risks but also what the likely hood of gaining out desired parenting plan was in modification. His expertise in this field is hard to come by, and being able to trust what advice he was giving gave us piece of mind of a very uncertain time. I wrote to Lorna at the end of my 2.5-year custody battle - "Words are inadequate to express my gratefulness", and it's true. Lorna has been on my side for that long, not only as my counsel, but to me, also a friend, and a mentor.
I remember talking to a dozen attorneys who all turned down my case because of its complexity - a divorce that invovled domestic violence, dependency, immigration, and relocation - yet Lorna was the only attorney that took genuine interest in my case, and she did not even charge me for our first 2-hour consultation. She actually read through over 3000 pages of my dependency case. She always responds promptly, sometimes even after office hours, she is thorough and detailed, insightful and empathic. She remained a delightful spirit despite my ex's constant threats, harassment, and accusation directed at her.
Even though I could not continue to afford her representation toward the end of my case, and chose to represent myself in a 3-day trial, she guided me through every step to make sure I was prepared and capable. I hired Mr Weinzierl for help with long term payment issues and child support for my son about to go to college. I am nearly 10 years post divorce with an abuser who will not stop for nothing. Rob is really calming when the ex triggers the PTSD. He knows things are upsetting but he guides with what feels like a bit of love and logic. This is actually a tough review to write because truly I have appreciated so many things about Emily and her team. Some things that come to mind are that she would always encourage me kindly and professionally not to waste my time, effort, and money on a battle that I would not win. That being said, when there arose a time that she knew there was something I was passionate about she was always ready to go to bat for me. Another thing I loved about her was her and her office teams attention to detail, my documents always ended up looking very professional and free of typos and although I am a strong writer, Emily is also a strong writer which really helped get the story that needed to be told out there. Emily is truly a unique individual; she is personable and friendly and honest and kind; qualities that can be tough to find in an attorney. I suggest that you learn to trust her implicitly as getting through family litigation issues is stressful enough as it is. Despite having solid evidence to support our case, she advised us not to present it to the court, resulting in a prolonged and frustrating legal battle. After putting down a small retainer, M' quickly exhausted it on a single motion, followed by a bill that exceeded $800. Despite our attempts to communicate our dissatisfaction, Genesis never responded, and M' never offered an apology.
We eventually decided to represent ourselves and, contrary to her repeated warnings, successfully won full custody. The very evidence she advised us not to use was pivotal in our victory. Our experience with her was marked by condescension and a lack of attention to crucial details about our case and children. It became clear that her focus was more on financial gain than on genuinely assisting us.

I have never needed an attorney before, so frankly, I didn't know what to look for when I needed one. Genesis has a reputation for honesty, even ending things with clients if they find out they have been lying. My experience with Sean Moore at Genesis lived up to that reputation.
My case was a pretty complex and contested divorce (involving military benefits, four small children, a Guardian ad litem and a psychological evaluation). There were many hearings, an attempt at mediation and we eventually ended up in a 4 day long trial.
There were many delays and difficulties in this case, and Sean Moore competently dealt with all of it. The opposing side had severe, untreated mental health issues which made it difficult to anticipate what bizarre talking point would be brought up in a hearing and in trial. Sean Moore was both strategic and flexible in trial as needed in this situation.
I guess it is probably in poor taste to say someone "won" or "lost" in a divorce trial, so i'll just say that my children are now safe, i'm getting some compensation, and the other side's time with the children is severely limited until they receive and maintain mental health treatment. Thanks to Sean Moore, everything that should have rightfully happened in this case is now in effect.

Representation was pathetic at best. Ken is very hard to communicate with as he doesn't give you the total answer till after the fact. Does not listen very well to his client, nor did he believe in his client/me. Accounting practices leave very much to be desired, missed numerous entries/expenses and the math was horrible. Has a negative attitude about the Judges and failed to counter the Mediator on numerous questionable decisions. Nice guy, just not a fighter.

Although Nathan got me the initial paperwork the amount of money spent was not worth it. He failed to update the judge as required. Failed to submit paperwork I requested him too. Failed to explain billing. Failed to follow the judges order. Always wanted more and more money and accomplished nothing. Then when he wanted an additional 5 to ten thousand dollars and I just paid my rearage and refurbished my escrow he dumped me claiming it was not paid in time. Not true the payment through MI billing recieved the payment the morning of the 30th. Unless you have a fat wallet and can dump tens of thousands on these guys do not use them they are all about money with no results. 20,000 dollars later I get my butt chewed by the judge because Nathan did not do his job then dumped me with nothing to show but a twenty thousand dollar debt. Now I have to redo all of the paperwork myself thanks for nothing Nathan. Over billed with no results.

I’m a criminal defense lawyer with 45 years of experience, so when it came to my own difficult, complicated divorce, I knew I needed the best lawyer possible. My first lawyer was, at best, mediocre. The employee that answers the VOICE MSGS is Friendly, kind, empathetic and reap ppl (But not an attorney nor able to give legal advice.) They also see ppl at the Snohomish County Courthouse in Everett on Tues-Thurs between the hours of 9am-2pm(?) It's on their OGMsg. NO APPTS ITS ON A FIRST COME FIRST SERVED BASIS. Be prepared to be searched by security upon entering into the area you'll be going to, too. Pay a couple dollars to park in their underground parking. The state should really help them out by perhaps getting them some more employees. It's like they never heard of the Pandemic! OK. STAY OUTTA TROUBLE, DON'T BREAK THE LAW and you won't need to deal with it 😁

I hear a lot of bad experiences with lawyers here but I recommend anyone who has been through subpar representation here to do your research on Jane Pak. She is a FANTASTIC CEO, and she took the time to have a thorough and excellent conversation with me about some concerns I had about two of her lawyers. She protected her employees and really highlighted how awesome it is that they do this without the pay they deserve in a way that helped me see the situation clearly and that it was similar to my own as another CEO of a nonprofit. She really highlighted star work from Adam and was an awesome advocate for her lawyer that represented me who clearly needed a lot training on some of the niche issues of my case. Though I don't think my representation deserved her generosity and it could jeopardize the safety of vulnerable people to continue to be generous with a lawyer you have to fight to defend you properly, and she has had that made excessively clear to her by myself through facts and evidence regarding this lawyer, I think it's awesome that she's willing to learn and train them in good faith and hope they can change. She ran the meeting with the utmost clarity, excellence and competence. She listened with utmost respect and treated me with the utmost respect in a way that made me feel safe speaking about a very distressing situation of revictimization by the system. I am rating this organization five stars solely for Jane Pak because she is a truly excellent CEO and she deserves to be running a five star company if she were respected duly. I hope that happens more and more for her.

I hired Laurie, Completed my paperwork within 24 hours. Paid $5,000 in full. Then I waited. I thought to myself... She is a professional, I need to be patient. I waited months and heard NOTHING. While in other courts I was defending attacks from the the person I was divorcing. Finally I called her and she asked if I would be willing to work with another attorney Ian Johnson. Assuring me he was capable of getting a judge to see this case. Well Ian constantly promised (assumed because he said he would do these things) ! He did nothing and $20,000 I've gotten nowhere.
