They were very quick in getting everything put together and submitted for my bankruptcy. It was not difficult or stressful at all. Pretty much everything was accomplished through email. Communication was great from everyone. If you don't have the money available to file, they have a payment plan available if needed. If you are drowning in debt do yourself a favor and file. It will take so much pressure and stress off of you. I highly recommend checking them out.

We were referred to this lawyer by a previous Duval county (Florida) judge after the separation of the unwed parents of a child with the indication that the mother might leave the state with the child and will not return. Florida law does not grant legal rights to an unwed father until paternity, time-sharing and shared responsibilities are established in court.
Overall, I am very satisfied with the result of this temporary hearing, giving credit to Debra and Thomas Treece. We are still waiting for the final hearing and hope that the Treece law team will continue to represent us fairly and honestly.
The Treece law team does not shoot for bashing the opposite party. From the beginning on, it was clear that they want a fair and honest outcome with no lies and only honesty. The reason to seek help was to fairly establish legal rights for the father and do all we can to benefit the child. The Treece law team maintained to fairly reach an agreement and asked for the continuation of the child's primary parent, which is tough to establish if it is the father who performed most parental responsibilities.
One "thing" I would like to mention is that I wish that the Treece law team would be more readily available when the father has an IMMEDIATE legal question, due to the mother using unfair tactics, lies and accusations that are unwarranted. I would love to at times receive a quick, brief legal advise right then and there, though acknowledge that we are not their only clients.
If you are looking for an aggressive lawyer to bash your opponent, keep looking. If you are looking for an aggressive FAIR lawyer, "fighting" for what is the honest truth and the best for the child, you found a calm legal team working for you.

Once my daughter received an order from the court, my daughter interviewed with many other attorneys. They would only allow her to talk with them. Upon meeting Mrs. Treece, I felt an immediate connection to her and Mr. Treece. In my opinion, they are like family to us. They are very approachable as well as professional. My daughter who is a new attorney herself knew this case needed experienced attorneys that would give her their best efforts. According to my daughter at trial, they did just that. Joseph and his team are incredible. I was dealing with a long distance divorce/custody case, with homeschooled children. I'd had a couple of attorneys, only one of whom actually helped, but then things seemed to fall apart. I needed to make some changes because my children were not doing well.
Our plan hadn't been finalized yet, so time was of the essence.
A few other mommas, in a similar situation, recommended Joe. I consulted with a few attorneys, but none of them were willing to really listen. All of them left me feeling hopeless and very triggered. After years of psychological and emotional abuse, I wasn't in a place to be able to handle those types of attorneys.
Joe was different. He was careful, calm, kind, and compassionate, but still straightforward with no b.s. I felt safe. I think that's what all of us want, really. Joe stayed in communication with me. He didn't leave me hanging. He kept me informed, answered every question, and was patient through all of it. He didn't yell at me (yeah, that has happened before). He helped me see things that needed to be seen and understand from better perspectives.
It was a bonus that we saw eye to eye on some things and I didn't feel like I had to defend myself to him.
We were able to come up with a new plan that kept the children's best interests as the top priority and avoid going to trial.
I'm truly grateful and blessed. God put him in my path right when I needed it most.
I have given his information to several mommas who are in need of help, and will continue to do so.

Terrible service! All they care about is your money! They will drain you retainer quick and will ask for another one. I spent nearly 10k and my case is not even nearly settled. They will charge you with every emails you send and phonecalls that you make. I switch to a different lawfirm and was told that my case shouldve been settled by now. STAY AWAY FROM THESE LAWFIRM!!!

Cindi is a true advocate for her clients. She was contacted during a time of despair and even though she was skeptical at first of our concerns….she listened to us and sat down to go over our case. We had previously had a well known attorney out of Jacksonville. Unfortunately, he did not take the time to listen to us nor fight for what we knew could not be afforded. Cindi ended up locating the egregious mathematical errors that had resulted in the judge awarding the other party an outrageous monthly alimony payment (an alimony payment that was unable to be made due to other bills and obligations). She fought for what could be afforded…..which was no alimony….and she delivered! It’s been an extended, prolonged battle but in the end the outcome is much better than we could have ever anticipated!! Cindi is incredibly knowledgeable about the law and sets realistic expectations for what the judge is likely to award. She does not make empty promises. Her prices are also incredibly reasonable and if I’m being honest, she should raise her fees. Cindi’s rates are fair and she remains conscientious of her client’s budget (unlike many other attorneys out there who will bill you for every little thing and take unnecessary and unproductive steps just in order to create billable hours). Cindi also always keeps the childrens’ best interest at heart. She is genuinely compassionate about her job and you tell how much she loves family law with the effort that she puts in! I cannot recommend her enough! She has held our hand through this process and even though I know we are her client….I consider her a friend. We will be turning to her as the years go by any time legal assistance is needed!

Since the beginning, they were upfront with timing, prices, and possible outcomes. She works with you , and explains the process with everything that’s going on when it’s actually happening so you don’t feel lost. My particular case, at one point, escalated to another case and she managed it great. Sometimes life throws a bunch of things your way that necessitates not only hiring one lawyer, but possibly many. If you're at the point when you're looking for an appellate lawyer, please know you have my sympathy. It's a place I never thought I'd end up.
Bill was one of three names that I was given by my attorney, and he was also the attorney who came up when I spoke to other attorneys and paralegals I knew. There really aren't that many who truly specialize in this field... who are Florida Bar rated in appellate law...and who've tried the number of cases Bill has before the Florida District Courts and even Florida Supreme Court.
I found that some people who say they've done appeals, really haven't done all that many. You can actually research your potential attorneys on the 1dca.org website. It's a small bunch of those who are truly experienced.
From the get-go, you know that you're talking to a person who has years of experience handling appeals and will truly do all he can for your case. He also promised me "brutal honesty" with regards to my case--which is something I respect. He's also a really nice guy.
Appeals are not cheap, but Bill's hourly rate is, by all accounts, fair. Given the level of experience, he could easily charge more.
My only regret is not consulting him sooner when it looked like an appeal may be likely. Don't make my same mistake.
Update: Experience matters. There's a difference between 30 and 300 cases. There's a reason Bill's name is always included when attorneys are asked for an appellate lawyer recommendation. I knew he was experienced, but I didn't really get it until I read his work for my case. He meticulously chooses each word and crafts a well thought out argument with case law to back up his point of view. Comparing his work to those of my Ex's attorney--made it apparently clear that experience matters and his reputation is justified. We won, BTW.

I chose Brian Roberts as my lawyer because, in his words, he "is NOT the type of divorce attorney that pours gasoline on the fire." His intent is to separate two people fairly and as amicably as possible.
I have a 13-year old son who is my whole world. Often there is a misconception that fathers have zero rights for custody and visitation. This is incorrect. Fathers have equal rights, and the state of FL emphasizes the importance of both parents involved in their childrens' lives.
My divorce started out amicably, then descended into hell...as my wife hired an attorney who did nothing but "pour gasoline on the flames."
Brian really knows the law and how to fight the tactics adopted by "bottom feeder" lawyers interested in nothing but increasing their fees.
Brian and his Assistant helped me through this incredibly stressful period of my life...from keeping me informed of my rights, responding to my wife's lawyer's numerous attempts to delay and confuse the issue, and giving me last minute pointers one night when my visitation was threatened.
I highly recomend Brian and the law firm of Roberts and Reiter, PA.

I hired this firm to take on a security negligence case. We’re I suffered a severe TBI back in December 2021 .. About a year later I questioned whether or not this attorney and this firm was capable of handling this type of case because I had doubts. I let Mr. Studer convince me to keep him as my attorney , so I did. When I finally had enough and I reached out to him to fire him, Seth Studer told me you don’t have to fire me because I’m stepping down from practicing Law. I said that might be best. Mr. Studer never called me one time over the 2+ years he had my case and asked me how I was doing , I’m not exaggerating. I have phone records to prove it phone records to prove how many times he ignored. My calls ignored my text messages and how many times he did call me the phone Records don’t lie. This wasn’t a simple car accident. This is a traumatic brain injury case , I’m not the same person I used to be. I feel like this attorney should have checked on me periodically return those text messages and those calls. I notified this attorney six or seven times throughout the course of two years telling him that I was feeling suicidal.. And that I wanted to know why I was having these thoughts that started every since I endured this horrific night and downtown Orlando it’s not that I want to kill myself, but I can’t control the thoughts. Good thing I didn’t kill myself. I wouldn’t be able to create this post right now. Thank God .. This firm should have gotten me some psychological treatment he should have sent me to a psychiatrist , he should have done a lot of things, but he didn’t. I will be filling out the Florida Bar Complaint and it’s going to start there. I can’t post all the screenshots of all the text messages that he didn’t reply to, but I can provide them to the Flordia Bar and I plan on it. I’ve retained two other law firms to take over the case, and they immediately put me in treatment for depression psychiatric reasons to find out why I’m having suicidal thoughts Tbi Treatment centers. I’m now getting the help and seeing the doctors that I should’ve been seen since Mr. Studer took my case, but he wasn’t sending me to any doctors and I trusted him is sad to say the different brain doctor that I’m seeing today have All told me why are you starting treatment three years after the injury you should’ve been receiving treatment when it happened so hopefully at that point in time I had a better chance at potential recovery but because I waited so long the doctors don’t think seeking treatment now is going to do any good and this is sad very emotional. I wouldn’t recommend this Law Firm to anybody out there all these Law Firm say they have the clients best interest the interest they have is the money going in their pocket And this is a prime example it said to say again this was the worst day of my life. It changed my life forever and I wish that I never hired this Seth stutter or firm in general because it wasn’t just Seth Studer. It was the Firm and that’s exactly what Studer told me . Make sure when hiring a lawyer, just because there websites say “ auto accident, slip n fall, security neglect “ doesn’t mean they have actually tried one of those types of cases before, just means there Liscence to take on that particular type of case. So please I give y’all some advice, attorneys are quick to send out electronic signatures needed for the victim to sign, So you don’t call around anywhere else. When We all should do are homework and find out more about the attorney of your choice before signing that email.

Robert was awesome to work with. My case took years to resolve and i never felt out of the loop. I could always get ahold of him through text, calls, or emails. He took what we needed into account and always made sure we were able to get the treatment we needed for our injuries. In the long run we were able to settle right as the trial started and we are happy to have our future treatment and more secure. Such a weight is off our shoulders and we have Robert and everyone else at his firm that helped to thank for it. This firm did not go the distance. Do not and would never recommend this firm to do your case justice. First off be mindful of the name Porter Law “Firm.” Porter NEVER worked the case. We had no communication with Porter EVER. Even when requested that he take over the case because we didn’t feel that the case was being handled aggressively as we were promised when hired. Initially we had hope. Thatcher was on the case and he was always prompt, he showed up and answered questions, and he was confident. Then it all changed. First, the state attorney was reassigned from the case then Thatcher left the firm and the case was reassigned to Abuetello. Always late, it got to the point where we just asked when will you be there so we don’t have to wait for all the other cases, uncertain and never forthcoming with answers to questions and had to start over with the case because she was newly assigned in place of Thatcher. We brought up the request to try for entrapment only to be told “ that’s too hard of an angle.” A couple of depositions later, requests for more money and finally we could talk negotiations only the negotiations were null. Usually at the trial point you would think a couple of offers would be extended, no. We got 1 offer. Then Abuetello tells us she is leaving the firm and the state attorney is new to the case and it’s this offer or risking it to go to trial. What other option is there. We felt rushed and without options.Now we have a sentence of prison time… A paid lawyer got us what a public defender could have. Later received closing documents and additional requests for more money. Highly disappointed in this firm and would NEVER recommend.

Mr. Wood is a very kind man yet seemed more interested in his personal life than taking accurate notes for my social investigation case, which showed in his report, $3,000 dollars later.
He was habitually late to every appointment, he lied to the court stating he works by himself, however, his wife works right by his side and was rude to me via email. The interviews aren’t recorded so the court relies solely on his word.
As I stated he’s kind but it may be time for him to retire. If assigned by a Judge ask for a different social investigator.
