Teresa Beyers is a go-to for your divorce and family law needs. I have read some reviews and disagree with the very few bad reviews. She has a ton of knowledge and a great ability to navigate a divorce case. Many reviews are written about charging too much for a divorce, but people don't understand she is more reasonable than most. Divorce is never cheap, Teresa will get you what you want and then some.

After reading another great legal answer from Attorney Routledge here on Avvo, I came today to write a review thanking her. Then I saw another similar recent review (from July 2023) saying many of the things I would say; I would recommend you read that review, if available, from July 28, 2023- I fully agree with the author's feedback.
But as for me, I am a paralegal helping my wife with a custody case, as we previously had a disastrous experience with an attorney (someone with a family law "specialist" designation, no less). With that person, we expended significant amounts of money to not only fail in our case but also to largely receive far less valuable insights and good information than received just from reading Attorney Routledge's detailed responses, including her feedback to a handful of our questions.
Based on her thoughtful responses here on Avvo alone it is clear that Attorney Routledge cares about helping people and that she is VERY good at what she does. She is a true family law specialist, someone we would absolutely be happy to be represented by if we were in her geographical area. I would also recommend anyone call her for a consult, if she has time, to clarify issues and get insights for hiring someone in your area. We definitely plan to do this.
Like I said, I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND talking to Attorney Routledge; I was self-educated on the family law process the first time my wife went to trial (including after hiring an attorney) and then got my paralegal certification as a result. And I can say Attorney Routledge's answers could serve as a Family Law class in and of themselves.

From our initial consultation, I noticed what a compassionate person Alexa was. She is very knowledgeable and quick to respond to emails. She keeps things short and sweet and always steers you in the right direction. I don't even know where to start... Lauren has not only managed for me and my (equally stubborn) ex to settle out of court. She has also been absolutely AMAZING throughout the whole process. To be honest I have no words to describe how much she has helped me. She is not just a great, competent lawyer with an extremely high level of professionalism -she is also genuine, great person. Just the kind of person you want by your side dealing with important issues in your life.
Even though my divorce and even more so the child support was messed up when I first met Lauren, she instantly got the picture. She has handled the somewhat complicated matter efficiently and also had the needed knowledge of international law as well. All in all, Lauren has always been completely on top of things and I just feel so grateful to have met her. We all know that lawyers in this city can be a piece of work and maybe even add to the drama - and make the bills add up too. Truly an amazing team of lawyers! I worked with Lauren on a family law case, but had a little bit of help from Ron and Barbara as well. Lauren was fantastic to work with. So I hired the lawyer Karen Suri this year for a modification of a restraining order/ visitation for my son. In this case I was the respondent for the case. Honestly, she was great, she answered all my questions in a timely manner and assisted me with those tough and private questions I had. Since this isn't my scope of practice I had a lot of questions :). She arrived promptly the day of the hearing and has kept me up to date with what is still left pending on my case. Matters of family law are always painful for everyone, and my case was especially hard. James fought for me, so I could obtain a restraining order and dissolution of marriage against a very unwilling party. His legal expertise and experience navigating court matters were invaluable in such a trying time. Attorney James Whiggam handled my divorce and he was professional and successful at getting me a great settlement. My husband used every trick in the book and my attorney was able to see through them all and when we went to court my Mr. Whiggam was able to take the tactics used by my husband and used them against my husband. The judge agreed with my attorney and I was awarded a very fair settlement. I strongly recommend James Whiggam as an attorney!

I’m thankful I found Jackie. I had prior representation for a brief time from the daughter of the head of different firm. I ended up disappointed with that individual and their performance, which seemed to be more self-absorbed than truly dedicated to their client. A very one- dimensional and impersonal experience. Having the expertise of Ms. Jackie Abboud was like a night and day experience. She was immediately engaged, very informative, and a great listener. She truly cares about her clients. She has decades of experience and her unrelenting drive to reach a favorable outcome and protect children is impervious to deflection. I was surprised by her personalization and availability. It was a welcome and refreshing feeling, knowing that I had a seasoned and genuine individual to navigate the waters, comprehensively, and to advise me without being intimidated with any matter or individual along the way. She was masterful at being able to present truth to the Courts and cut through the nonsense brought forth by my ex. Child custody cases can be very tough and stressful to navigate, as one or both parties can be caught up in desperate emotion and do very stupid things that can tie up the Courts time, burn through a lot of money, and ultimately place undue stress and burden on innocent children. Child Custody Evaluators can be involved and have to investigate any allegation. Again, more money essentially taken away from being used for your child’s future, and your child must be involved with having to be questioned, etc. I was on the other end of reckless,, ridiculous, hurtful, and shortsighted desperate attempts at diminishing me as a fair minded and devoted/loving mother. Ultimately, I was granted a move away order. His case crumbled . I was also able to obtain a settlement which greatly helped with court costs. I highly recommend Ms. Abboud if you can secure her services. I understand she doesn’t take on just anyone, and she’s not easy to secure. I feel very fortunate and I’m ever so thankful for our outcome. My daughter is the happiest she’s ever been. Absolutely thriving. I have never used my daughter as a tool, nor have been vindictive. That’s so important. Truth won, and I’m ever so grateful for Ms. Abboud being a steward of justice and incredible support for me and my daughter.

I’m originally from Japan and our case should have been an easy one but with shut down, things got messy and lost. Long story short, John and Owais were able to help us though the process with ease. They are very prompt with responses, quick to see the progress of the case (making sure everything was up to speed and within expected time frame), and were thorough with prep work and paperwork. Both of us speak perfect native English and we still had a lot of trouble figuring out the paperwork. My husband, our then 1 year old, and I were involved in a hit and run that rendered our car totaled. We had never been in an accident that bad before so apart from reporting it to the police and filing an insurance claim, we weren’t sure what else to do. Finances were tight since we had just signed a new lease that previous weekend and we would need to put aside some money to buy another car. A friend recommended contacting Ed Lee Law Offices and it was the best investment we could’ve made. My husband and I initially felt hopeless since our case didn’t seem as serious as others we have read/heard about considering no one was severely injured, but Ed Lee and his team made sure we were properly compensated for all the hardship we were put through in being the victims of a hit and run accident. We knew it would take some time to be resolved but time was all we had and after putting our full trust in his law firm, a year and some change later, our case was closed. We were compensated for all that we lost and then some. Even though the police did not find the suspect, Ed, Sylvia, Angela, and the rest of their team were able to give us the closure that we needed from a horrible incident.

Bereliani Law Firm went beyond my expectations!
Sanaz has a good team and thorough system to ensure your bankruptcy gets finalized.
I am self employed, my case was more in depth.
I interviewed several attorneys in San Diego and LA area and they were suggesting Chapter 13 and avoiding chapter 7 because of my equity in my home, they said I was limited on exemptions ie and my vehicle and personal property were at risk!
Sanaz is very creative with creating and interpreting exemptions that the other attorneys NEVER mentioned and or understood, interpreting exemptions is very important, ie “Commercial Work Vehicle” (Truck) verses “vehicle”, that changed the game, the trustee wanted more money for my work truck and was also trying me on personal property and Sanaz put them in check!
She got my Chapter 7 discharged, I kept my condo equity, I owed nothing for my commercial work truck and personal items.
The other attorneys I interviewed were ok with having me agree to make an uncomfortable stressful payment plan to make it easy for them to file chapter 13….
Sanaz and her team tolerated all my calls and emails = STRESS and got me through it.
Sanaz and her team are the ones you want to represent you!!! Worth every dollar!!!

Only putting 4 stars instead of 5 because Maria, the receptionist, was kind of rude. But I just spoke with Daniel for the first time since my wedding, and when I told him about my experience with Maria, he explained that she was only at the firm for a week until him and Ayal picked up on her less than friendly attitude and let her go. Very much respect that they saw the issue so quickly and fixed it.
