My wife and I worked with Suzanne during a custody and child support modification that my ex-wife filed around the time when the previous poster who chose to remain "Anonymous" commented and gave a one-star rating. To that poster - you know your case better than anyone else including your attorney and if you catch something in a draft document that your attorney didn't - so what. It's your case so you should be reading the documents, catching things, and making changes/suggestions too. If there is something that is important to you, then stick to your guns. Don't blame your attorney because something that they might not view as important in the grand scheme of the case may be very important to you for some particular reason. So communicate that to you, it is important and why it is such and recognize that sometimes it is easier to give on something if it means you can move on.
For me, I was extremely pleased with Suzanne on everything from responsiveness, timeliness, counseling within the legal guidelines, documenting, settling, and finalizing the entire custody and child support modification. In working with Suzanne, I felt that it was a team effort - my wife and I had our role, Suzanne had hers, and we coordinated on everything in between - strategy, ideas, negotiating points, documentation, etc. She is very direct, engaging, and is very timely in her responses and turnaround time. My only regret is that I didn't have Suzanne as the attorney for my divorce and the first modification. Thanks, Suzanne.

Me and my wife recently finalized an adoption with Ms. Prescott. We initially started the process with another lawyer and was getting no where. My wife located Ms. Prescott and gave her a call. From the very first meeting we felt very comfortable with her and she was very excited to work our case. There were some snags along the way but not from their doing. There were several waiting periods on certain things but her office stayed on top of them and communicated what was going on when we asked and even when we didn't. The adoption was very sensitive and Suzanne made sure certain things were not mentioned to our daughter. Really and truly we just kind of sat back and cruised through the whole process. I am now the daddy to two beautiful children and have Suzanne and her great office staff to thank!!!!

Ms. Prescott made my divorce quick and easy. I felt I could tell her important details without trepidation or judgement. I cannot express how grateful I am that I found Daria and her team. I was in the unfortunate scenario of unexpectedly being plunged into our broken family law system.
I interviewed a few attorneys and hired one from another firm (S-M&P). I quickly realized I had made a mistake, as the competence of that attorney was severely lacking and it was clear that they viewed me as an ATM. After a month of manufactured drama/crisis and thousands of dollars down the drain, I made the decision to change attorneys.
I was referred to The Wise Law Firm by a friend of a friend, and from the start, Daria exceeded the high expectations that I had coming in. She was very transparent about my realistic options and the most likely outcomes. She didn't try to push the more contentious options simply to drive up her billable hours. There was never a time when I felt like I was being 'nickel and dime'd into oblivion - their billables are very fair and accurate and I never had to question any line item on my statements.
Daria and her team had the goal of achieving the best outcome for my family and me, and I am confident that my case would not have had the favorable outcome that it did, had I stayed with the other attorney. Family law is an ugly place, and I can't imagine dealing with it day in and day out, but somehow Daria and Stephanie have found a way to insulate themselves from becoming cynical and jaded.
If you are reading reviews because Daria is your opposing counsel, I can say with confidence that Daria is as professional of an opponent as you will find. She is not manufacturing drama/conflict in an effort to drive up the billables and the duration of your case.
If you have already hired another attorney and are having doubts, I would highly suggest making a switch - it's not worth it to stay with an attorney that you don't have full confidence in - the figurative and literal costs are far too high.
TLDR: If you are looking for a family law attorney, I cannot recommend The Wise Law Firm enough.

For the last 7 years, Ms. Wise and her paralegal, Ms. Kayler, have been like extra family members, assisting us with some of the most challenging circumstances our family has ever experienced.
In every event our family has encountered (including parenting plans, modifications, emergency custodial issues, multiple mediations, protection orders, guardian ad litems, all manner of temperaments from opposing counsels, new judges), Ms. Wise's counsel and advice has been spot on. She's not one to make promises, but she has a solid grasp of the legal systems in the area and can accurately guide your expectations and limitations.
I have lost count of how many court appearances and mediations we've attended with Daria at our side, but our children and family have come out safer and better off after each one.
I have personally referred her to many of my friends in need of family legal services, and they've reported the same. She's timely, communicates well, and is passionate about helping her clients and their families.

They also showed great empathy in handling my peculiar case; were very responsive and understanding of my financial difficulties and very generous in giving no charges whilst still working very hard to ensure that all my needs were tendered to. If you are looking for a firm that will fight for you and have your back, this is your firm. My case lasted 4yrs and Daria still remembered details of the case that even I had forgotten that ultimately helped me in gaining custody of my children as well as a very fair final judgement. These last few years in have been dealing with hostage situation in the form of my Ex wife who choose to leave our marital home with our child. My previous representation IS a wreck and I had to find someone that actually could do the job.
Gina not only provided patience, logical standpoints and understanding but she also treated me like a person and not just a case or an income. Given the trash heap I brought to her in the form of my case, she did the best that she could to help clean up. She is not afraid to stand up and represent you and deflect wrong doing or poor decisions that could damage your life worse than it currently could be. If I would have stuck with my previous representation I honestly believe that I would not even have a chance to see my daughter at all.

Gina Grady of this lawy firm recently represented me for a case involving a divorce with children. She helped me settle this divorce, get a contempt against the children’s other parent for refusing visitation and in the end I got custody of my children because of their previously unstable living environment.
Both the firm and Mrs Grady were very professional and very responsive. They allowed me to do as much leg work as I could to help with the case and Mrs Grady would use all resources available, including conferring with other attorneys at the firm, to ensure that everything was handled and accurately and proficiently as possible.
If I have any more legal matters requiring an attorney with this case, I will be coming back to this law firm to assist me in getting it handled.

I called Saeed and explained my traffic ticket; unlike the other lawyers who wanted me to hire them immediately and pay them up front. Saeed advised me that my traffic ticket was a simple expiry of tag and that i should be able to pay the fine without paying thousands to any lawyer. He was more of a physician watching out for the best interest of his client instead of a businessman looking out for the best for himself. I can not thank him enough for giving the best advice in a simple and understandable language. I highly recommend Saeed for his principles and practise of law.

Saeed is a fantastic attorney and just a genuinely caring guy. His office is in a very nice area, and conveniently located. He spent more time with me than I've ever experienced from an attorney, and he was quick to find answers to all my questions. He handled my case extremely efficiently, and even made me laugh a couple times.
I'd recommend Mr. Mahallati to anyone. I actually picked up a stack of his cards because lawyers like him will actually give lawyers a good name.
Also, he speaks various languages. If you're in the market for a Persian / Iranian speaking attorney, then he's your guy.

Litigation is never pleasant in anyone's life, however, having had Stacy Ingle as my attorney during a 2 year family law modification case made it easier. Stacy has excellent attention to detail and is very organized and responsive. I trusted her completely as she helped me manage through a very difficult case. She is professional, honest, responsive and trustworthy. She was frugal with her time and I never once felt like she wasted time & effort to charge me more and always was concerned about my financial best interest as well. We found that discussions with 2 other law firms seemed either non-responsive or in one case, not very well organized. We are new to the Ellijay area, being from Tampa Bay and never have had difficulties in professional legal support. We just gave up for 2 weeks, but our single mom friend still needed to recover over-due child support unpaid for over 10 months. We then contact Brown Dutton and Crider and spoke with an assistant named Joanne Taylor. We were able to get exactly what we needed, instructions by for how to do to organize for legal support by email within an hour. Just, plain easy. The way it should be with a professional agency.

I hired Rebecca McLaws as my divorce attorney. I knew my case would be extremely complex. Rebecca is compassionate, honest, thorough in a courtroom and very detailed! She kept me informed of all my options and explained the process in a manner I could understand. I would not recommend working with McLaw’s Law Group. My experience was marred by several communication breakdowns and a lack of professionalism from both Rebecca and her paralegal, Rosalyn. Divorce is challenging, and while there are no winners, a competent attorney can help their client feel more confident and secure throughout the process. To be fair, I will outline both the positives and negatives of my experience with Rebecca.
Initially, Rebecca was very responsive. I did not have the funds to retain her immediately, so she kindly gave me a week to gather the money from selling my house. However, I asked Rebecca to escrow the funds from the sale into her account, but she deferred to my ex’s legal team to manage the escrow. This has since become a nightmare, making it difficult to retrieve my money. Once the case settled, I could not pick up the check from my ex’s legal team; it was sent via FedEx to Rebecca’s office, which failed to deliver it, causing further delays.
Rebecca went on leave due to a death in her family without notifying me. After several unanswered emails and calls, her paralegal, Rosalyn, eventually informed me that Rebecca was out of the office. When I confronted Rebecca about the lack of communication, she blamed me for over-communicating, saying there were no updates to provide. However, I wasn't just seeking updates; I needed a timeline and next steps, which they failed to provide.
During this time, I lost my car and had to rent one to meet Rebecca. After traveling an hour and fifteen minutes, I called to inform her I was running five minutes late, only to learn she wasn't in the office and had been called into emergency court the day before. Although she apologized, this incident was just one of many demonstrating their lack of professionalism and communication.
This was my first divorce, and I had many questions. Given my financial situation, having a clear timeline and next steps was crucial to plan my life. I ended up losing almost everything in the divorce. Additionally, my mother and brother fell ill, prompting me to push for a settlement instead of waiting two more months for the court date. Unfortunately, the settlement process took longer than going to court would have, partly due to my ex’s lawyer, Jackie Piland, taking a week to review a document. Throughout the process, it seemed that either my legal team or my ex’s was not being truthful about the status and next steps.
I expressed my diminishing confidence in Rebecca to her, and instead of reassuring me, she stated she did not want to represent a client who lacked confidence in her abilities and refused to return the retainer. If a paying client expresses doubt, the professional response would be to reassure them, not threaten to terminate the contract.
Lastly, I am still facing issues retrieving the settled funds and have yet to receive a response to my emails or phone calls. Given these experiences, I cannot recommend working with Rebecca.

Going through any legal issues is never fun, but Melanie and her team made this process so easy and stress free for me. Melanie is a power house to be reckoned with! Jeremy Abernathy was referred to me by another attorney and I could not be happier with the outcome of my custody case. Paid $200 for a consultation with Attorney Potter and I’m honestly not sure what I paid for. I gave a detailed description of my case and asked 7 questions to gauge whether I wanted to hire her or not and she just talked in circles for the entire hour. She didn’t answer none of my questions and was very long winded. I will not be hiring this firm bc if she talked for 1 hour about absolutely nothing, I can’t imagine how much my total cost would be at $390 a hour for her to represent me. Honestly, I want a refund. Some of the questions I asked were how long would it take her to get up to speed on my case, has she handled cases like mine and what were the outcomes, what are the possible outcomes of my case, can she identify anything that I can settle on, and how can I avoid future cases. All of her answers were “I don’t know.” I am looking for an attorney with a strategy. If I explain my case in detail, I expect you to be able to provide insights based on your experiences. This was supposed to be legal advice. I want my $200 back.

Disappointment is a complete understatement with this law firm and Ms. Dione Potter.
This law firm drags out the process and charges for each email and phone call they make while continuing to drag the case out.
I truly felt Ms. Potter was working for opposing counsel. Everything opposing counsel wanted she got with NO fight from Ms. Potter. Everything opposing counsel said in court was just allowed to be said about me with not one objection. I lost everything except what the mom allowed me to have....thank goodness she allowed me visitation because honestly if she said "no" to that I would not have gotten that either.
I've asked the firm why I did not get anything I asked for and of course they nor she could answer.
She truly feels she did a good job........

absolutely no final decision making for my child, even though I was told I would get some rights, but the mother has all those rights
I requested a Guardian ad Litem, I was told I would get it and the judge goes that route. But NO GAL assigned, opposing counsel did not want one
she sat and watched as opposing counsel said tons of untruths about me
and I got the privilege to pay my ex's lawyer fees
So I spent close to $30,000.00 with this firm with nothing to show for it, except for a laywer who thinks she did a good job. They are only good at doing one thing........billing you

You pay for a consultation 125, then you pay a retainer 1800, then you pay their processing fee (400)…. He called me to set up meeting. Told him I work 3 shift the later the better. How about 3pm? Great I said, whatever works for you. Then he offered 330…. Again whatever works. Called me next day saying he had court on day HE scheduled me, but may be continued…. If continued I wouldn’t hear from him, if not he would call to reschedule. Literally called me the next day to tell me it was continued. So I came into the office concerned that his lack of scheduling abikity was costing me money. His very unprofessional receptionist finally got him to discuss we’re he claims it wasn’t being charged. Had one meeting with the lawyer. Left out of their doubting he could walk and chew gum at the same time. Literally talked in circles the entire time. What a joke. He told me it would cost 50k and I was only going for a contempt accusation. Fired him after first meeting Robert was first name in st Charles location. Paid over 2400 to them, and then I get a bill for another 125. Hired a new lawyer Dodd, she showed up, had it thrown out with most my new retainer refunded. Do not waste your time or money with cordell cordell.

I don't recommend this law firm to anybody, my husband had Christine Brown as his attorney and he decided not to go forward with the divorce, he paid them over 4K to represent him, and when he asked was he owed money back. Christine and Kelly said no they sent an invoice. Also, Christine is mad because my husband asked her to recuse herself from his case. After all, he wasn't going to pay them any more money which they took over 4K from him already. The receptionist Kelly emailed him like you still owed us money in she was harassing him and they took all of his money. The receptionist Kelly and Christine Brown the attorney don't know how to talk to people they're not people person, it's like they are out to just get money from clients and don't care about the wellbeing of the clients and their clients.

I hired Jessica on behalf of my son for a custody case. My son was trying to get custody against the maternal grandmother. One would think this is a slam dunk type case for a parent to get custody but unfortunately, it's not. Jessica worked on this case for a little over a year and did a great job based on the circumstances. We had a GAL who recommended that the grandmother get custody of the child but her recommendation had nothing to do with understanding of the law. Jessica was extremely passionate about this case and I would say she was amazing in trying to overcome so many obstacles that should not have been apart of this case. Money hungry law firm. Our initial consultation was a waste of money. We were quoted an initial deposit and escrow fee which barely lasted a couple weeks. The emails from the firm were asking for more money with very little information. The home check they said we wouldn’t need cost us $250 because the judge said otherwise. They sent my husband to a fingerprinting facility that couldn’t even do that right. They failed and their staff couldn’t even figure it out. Waste of money and time spent trying to get that sorted. They couldn’t even show up to our court date on time. The after adoption instructions were basically figure it out yourself. We of course had to pay for that lack of information. I would never recommend them to my worst enemy. Don’t waste your time or money on them. It only stresses you out and ruins the experience.
