I've left 2 emails & 3 voicemails asking him to get in touch with me,, he hasn't updated his answering machine from August 2021. I get that he may be a busy person but how hard is it to return a voicemail/email saying you won't be able to help with my situation.

Kari is a great attorney who zealously represented me during my divorce. She is very knowledgeable and represented me in a very professional manner. She has pride in her work and takes the time to show that she cares for me (her client). Kari responds immediately to emails and phone calls. Kari consulted with prior to any court proceeding to ensure that she represented my interests and wishes. She is very passionate about her work, the law and serving her clients. Her rates are very reasonable and I would highly recommend her for any family law or estate case.

I will first start this review, by saying that I highly recommend Nicolet Law Accident & Injury. Nicolet Law recently represented my father who was seriously injured in a motor vehicle accident. His attorney John did a phenomenal job representing my father. John explained the process in detail in an easy to understand manner. Was linked up to our lawyer John through our chiropractor and he was amazing!! Touched based a few times, kept us very updated and handled any insurance call, question or problem that arose during my case. I almost forgot I had one because once John was involved, it was one less than thing me and my young family had to deal with. Worth every penny!

Wonderful experience. Adam is a very knowledgeable lawyer and hard worker. He always kept in touch, spoke in Layman's terms and guided me in each step. He helped me get compensation after I was rear-ended. The other side tried making my prior, more minor injuries into something big and then tried downplaying this injury, which made me frustrated. Adam didn't let them get away with that, and he believed me. He worked so hard for me and I'm so grateful.

I was so thankful for all of Jim's guidance while I was going through my divorce and he helped me get what was best for my two young daughters. He played so many roles for me besides being "just" an excellent attorney. He was a friend, a counselor, a father figure, a therapist and always a gentlemen to all parties involved. Sadly, I've had to deal with my ex for the past 10yrs for various issues having to do with our child, but THANK GOODNESS Jim has been my attorney the whole time! It has been extremely stressful throughout the years and continues to be (YEP he is STILL representing me), but when it comes to knowledge, kindness, understanding and heart he has it all and has been there for me every step of the way. Anytime I doubted his advice or what an outcome may be in court (due to my "worry wart" personality) - I've ALWAYS been proven wrong! He has always been spot on with what he has told me, whether in my favor or not. I have complete faith in him. I've referred 3 people to him (2 of them family members). I was referred 10+ years ago by a co-worker who said he was the BEST! I haven't looked back since. I can only speak on the family matters he has assisted me with (child parenting time, child support, etc.... ) but I most definitely would recommend him to anyone & everyone!

As sad and stressful as divorces are, you expect to hire an attorney who is trustworthy and will do whatever it takes to defend you rightfully. James Lofstrom, however, did not fulfill this for me. He messed up paperwork several times, costing me more money and delaying the inevitable, my divorce. After he finally got the paperwork corrected with the courts (three times total), my divorce was finally overwith. He did not follow through with things I requested him to do, which left me with nothing that I had "won" in the divorce. I lost all of my childhood memorabilia because he did not file papers demanding the items be returned. The only thing Mr. Loftstrom was good at was sending an overpriced bill.

My experience with David runs counter to Laurie’s. I went through an amicable divorce recently and from the very first call with him I had concerns about keeping costs down. David kept a detailed log of time and never seemed to ramp up costs. In fact, he discounted a small amount of time because we were starting to exceed our higher cost estimates.
David did a good job of balancing minimum required “lawyer stuff” with watching out for my rights and counseling me on protections I could take.
If you don’t want to spend a lot on divorce lawyer fees, make an effort to get along with your soon-to-be ex... or better yet, don’t neglect your marriage in the first place and stay married.

Ms. Denton took my case when I had a last minute, urgent situation, and has stuck with me through the end. She knows her family law. I chose Ms. Denton because of her reputation advocating for women in unsafe situations. I have enjoyed working with Ms. Denton through the years. Had a pretty bad experience with this lawyer and he was pretty unprofessional. I had abuse, child neglect, and threats of violence going on in my divorce case, so I had filed for an order of protection against my ex. I checked with my lawyer twice about the date of my hearing for it, and he gave me the wrong date both times which caused me to miss it. Because of this, my case was dropped by default, and my abuser found out where I was living, and started harassing me there, making me feel unsafe in my own home. Rather than informing the courts of the mistake and requesting a new hearing, he told me to just proceed with the divorce as normal. I was so scared I fled from my home and was essentially homeless for a few months. He then continually advised me not to go to a homeless shelter, which left me trapped at a toxic friend's house where my daughter ended up abused more. I was hoping to have primary custody, or even supervision for my ex's time due to the neglect that had gone on, and he treated it like that was no big deal, and when my ex didn't agree, the lawyer didn't really fight for me, and told me to just alter my agreement to give ex more time, until we had exactly what my ex had asked for, and I felt like I had no say at all. The only consolation was he did a bunch of my case for free after misleading me on the court date, but honestly I would've rather had my child and I's safety and peace of mind assured rather than that.

Jim did not provide me with all of my options as his client. I was unaware of a Karon Waiver, I was the primary income earner, and I was never presented the option of having an "expert financial review" or "vocational evaluation" done on my Ex. I spoke to another Attorney who said I should have these two things done, and when I said that is what I wanted, my case was resolved very quickly and signed by the Judge about 3 weeks later. Jim is a very nice man, but I cannot recommend him as a Divorce Attorney.

I needed a divorce attorney, and someone recommended Mark Gray. After meeting with him, I knew he was who I needed. My divorce turned out to be more protracted than expected. We kept pushing for a settlement resolution, but we had no cooperation from the Petitioner. It turned out to be quite a battle. I don't remember how many Motions we had to file on various issues. Eventually we had a trial date set, and finally we got it settled on that day just before trial started. But we also had post decree motions later regarding custody, etc. The more protracted the battle is, the greater the legal fees. But Mark Gray did not overcharge me. I found out later that my ex-wife's legal fees were five times greater than my legal fees! I am so glad that I had Mark Gray to represent me, and help me understand the process. He was easy to work with, and he is a very smart guy.

Jeffery A Grace responded to my inquiry but had no knowledge of my situation which I provided via email. He seemed not interested in investigating the situation in question. He had invested time in what my My MetLegal policy covered, which he stated was an initial consult not representation. Therefore, he could bill for the 18 minute 33 second phone call and follow-up email which was void of legal consult. He knew enough about my legal obligations to counter my statements but not enough to give legal advise without an investigation to which he never gave me a cost estimate. I would not be interested in any follow-up from this firm based on this review.
I would request you not offer any estimate nor reach back out to me.

They handled a major custody issue with me, my ex-husband and my kids. I worked specifically with Alexandra Michelson and her team. She was efficient , thorough and empathic to clearly highly emotional situation, she knows the laws and she and her team were prepared and organized especially the days of trial. I was so relieved to be working with someone I could trust to make sure my kids and I could be safe and have someone on our side of the table working with us for the best outcome of my family. This after postponing or being late for meetings, not following up for several days, and failing to deliver work by her own promised deadlines. Other reviews indicate that this is a trend, I should have paid closer attention before I wasted my money on an incomplete case. Wildly unprofessional.

My dad and I hired Gail to advocate for an OFP. We were on a low money and price seemed right. She showed up to court and pulled out nothing more than an empty yellow note pad. My ex-wife dropped all charges and for some reason we did not pursue a counterattack. We were able to combat allegations directly that day with perjury. Gail was visibly nervous. I noticed her fidgeting her pen and paper, and I had to speak up for myself on two occasions. The children ended up remaining with the ex-wife and 1 year later CPS had to get involved for their safety. I would not recommend this lawyer for loved ones.

Gail Mattey has been a phenomenal attorney in my divorce/domestic abuse/child custody situation. My children were with-held from me for over three months, and after a very stressful court hearing I was almost immediately able to pick them up from their father and bring them back home. She has been a godsend for me and my case. Gail is very down to earth, and easy to talk to. Although she is very kind and compassionate, she is a force to be reckoned with.

Ann was great to work with and I would highly recommend her for any family law matter. She is very intelligent, knows family law well and was always responsive to me if I had questions or needed advice. If I left her a message or emailed her, she would get back to me within a very reasonable time period. I knew she had court appearances, other clients, etc. and would respond as soon as she was able to do so. I was very impressed with her skills in dealing with the opposing attorney and the Judge. She was respectful of them, yet asserted herself if the need arose. It appeared that she was well respected in the legal community. I would highly recommend her to any one with a family law matter and definitely would use her again if I needed a family law attorney.

She wasn’t prompt with information and follow up. She gave opposing counsel information without consent. Her contract says she will work for you yet did opposite of what I asked. Then confronted with this she withdraws. No money back as of yet.

We talked with Jessica at a free help center and she gave us a lot of good advice as we were doing a speedy court date. The day before court we started to panic that we were not doing things right in a custody case to get our grandson as we heard from other people that it's very hard to get custody of a grandchild. We called Jessica and she made the time to see us and took our case. We went to court quite a few times and in the end we got full legal, sole custody of our grandson. So I truly believe that if we did not get Jessica on our side we would not of won. She went the extra mile for us and we thank her from the bottom of our heart that she helped make another child safe.

This was my first experience with any lawyer/law issue - Michelle and her team did an excellent job training and helping me through this. Michelle was very straight forward on what to expect with the initial consultation, negotiated extremely well throughout the entire (almost) 2 year process. Amanda is amazing as well. She did fantastic work, quickly responded and was extremely reassuring. As a team they did a great job handling my case. Negative reviews stated that people were frustrated by the lack of response. I will say initially I was frustrated myself, but Michelle and Amanda reminded me that I pay for them to read my emails/answer my phone calls and respond. So know that they are working on it when it needs to be worked on to help prevent excessive charges to you!! They got me involved when I needed to be and kept me updated as there were updates.
I was very happy that I had Michelle and Amanda with me to help me through the worst couple years of my life.

Mary did not listen to me in my divorce case. I am a retired teacher and her poor approach to dealing with my defense attorney husband resulted in me having to pay him $45,000. My name was spelled wrong in correspondence and my case was confused with other cases. I had requested a name change with the divorce and that did not happen. Fortunately my estate attorney discovered Mary had listed my home’s legal description incorrectly in the divorce decree, which would have been an issue whenever I went to sell it. It took months for Mary to correct HER mistake and then she attempted to charge me for it. I would say the whole process working with Mary was a comedy of errors, except that anyone going through a divorce knows how painful it can be and her ineptitude as an attorney made it so much worse. The divorce was in late 2021 and I’ve just now had the energy to write this. I wish I had the energy to report her to the bar. I regret using her as an attorney and feel sorry for anyone who does.

When first working with barb I felt confident cause she took the time to listen to understand my case or so I thought. After 3 -4 weeks it became clear she did not review anything I had sent her and did not have any legal strategy for my case. She will take days to respond to emails if at all, if she responds via email you only get answers to half the questions or more vague responses.
I even got 2 emails from her that were clearly intended for another client on another case. I understand mix ups happen so it was not initially a problem. That is until I responded asking if this was intended for someone else and pointed out how the recommendation made no sense in my case which is why I posed the question. The problem is instead of just admitting to a honest mistake she tried to play it off as if it was intended for me. We of course discussed later on the phone where she admitted it did not make sense in my case. However, this is just one of many examples where what she says in writing does not match what is communicated verbally. I would also mention Barb was not proactive on my case and would only provide updates if prompted but they were so vague and lacking in detail there is no way to verify if anything was done.
Ultimately she was happy to spend time on the phone saying whatever and letting the customer run up a bill but when it came time to perform anything beyond talk like filing appeal or motion or scheduling with the court or mediation ,etc... she did not do much and when I was finally able to get her to perform anything work outside of talking it took a good deal of arm twisting. The experience was absolutely horrible and it felt more like barb was fighting against me then fighting for me. She was the first lawyer I have ever hired so I was not sure if this was typical but I can say after procuring a new lawyer that it most definitely is not.
My recommendation if you hire her is to get everything in writing and if you feel like she is not familiar with your case or not thinking about how to proactively prepare your case or just not living up to what you expect from your lawyer then you should trust your gut.
