Michael was hired to help with a case involving two cross-border jurisdictions. An amount of undue stress, frustration and mental/financial cost was unfortunately beyond normal, largely due to us having to deal with an extremely dishonest opposing side, whose counsel (a gentleman named Gaurav Bali) in a counter motion was close to facing the judge and get sanctioned due to his unethical/illegal actions on this case (which included them faking the evidence, as well as illegally subpoenaing my former employers and financial institutions). Amidst all of this, Michael was the one who actually helped manage this mess, providing much needed clarity and guidance as to what to do and how to sanction them.
I plan on further retaining (and working with) Michael going forward, and highly recommend him as a person/professional with the highest standard of integrity.

I interviewed dozens of lawyers, and I hired one who was soothing but turned out to be incompetent. She was not only a waste of money, she left me hanging with a trial date that was approaching fast. I had to scramble and thank God Sean was willing to take my case. He does not sugar coat anything. He's extremely professional, organized, competent and honest. He does his homework, talks through all aspects of your case, writes briefs well, prepares you thoroughly for trial, and speaks in court with authority. He takes his job seriously and gets it done on your behalf.

My divorce started with a different attorney. A firm I will not name here who honestly took a great deal of my money with very little oversight. I received a referral to Sean and I'm so glad I made the switch. You can't prepare for divorce so I was blind sided and hadn't done my research. I wish I had started my divorce with Sean as my attorney. He listed to me and was able to see my side and advocate what was best for me and my daughter. I will forever be thankful to him in remembering all the details of my case. We didn't have to rehash everything every time we met. Sean was so efficient every time we met and also very sincere. He made himself available and he always gave me both sides of an argument and he prepared me every step of the way. I settled my divorce and child custody case with my ex-husband and I feel that it was fair. I wasted so much money in the beginning by not using an attorney such as Sean. I can't tell you how rare he is and I'm so grateful for the time and service he provided.

I am an attorney and am familiar with litigation. I retained an attorney to file a divorce proceeding, and that attorney did nothing but bill me for work that did not move the case forward. Fed up, I was referred to Sean Patrick Joyce. What a breath of fresh air. Mr. Joyce took immediate action, was a great communicator, and effectively utilized his terrific paralegal. In a matter of weeks, Mr. Joyce resolved issues, moved the case forward and obtained a stipulated judgment for me. During the time period that I worked with Mr. Joyce, and his paralegal, all of my questions were quickly resolved with an eye towards resolution and cost effectiveness. Mr. Joyce is direct, honest and a real problem solver. I would highly recommend his firm.

I hired Nate to negotiate and settle a joint home property in Marin with a former partner. His approach is straight-forward and honest. He sets clear goals and a reasonable timeline to get results. He was respectful and sensitive to my questions and needs at all times. He gave me his best shot at the cost and was mindful that he would do his best to keep my attorney fees to a minimum. Divorce is a very personal matter and I had very little knowledge about the legal process. I needed an attorney who understands what I wanted and be able to deliver. I wanted to keep my share of the assets. I wanted to have sole custody of my child. I wanted the divorce process to settle as quickly as possible. Nate came highly recommended and I was glad he was my attorney. He acted professionally with explanation that I can understand. I was going through an 'amicable' divorce with my husband and we agreed on how to split our assets. Being a paralegal, I was able to complete and file most of my own paperwork with the court. However, I needed the assistance of an attorney to draft a marital settlement agreement that would be acceptable to the courts and be in accordance with the law. I was referred to Nate by an attorney friend of mine. Nate and I met and I laid out the facts of my agreement with my husband. Nate accepted to work with me on the settlement agreement aspect of my divorce without asking to take over my entire divorce matter. Nate quickly grasped the issues at hand, and drafted a marital settlement agreement accordingly. He is very knowledgeable about all aspects of family law, including the laws governing retirement accounts and retirement funds which often become an issue in divorce matters. There were only minor changes to Nate's initial draft of the agreement and we were able to complete the process in a reasonable and timely manner. During the process, Nate was on vacation for some time, but despite being out of state, he would respond to my questions immediately and address any issues that came up during that time. Nate was also very mindful of keeping his legal fees within reason and he never wasted any time in meetings, phone calls or e-mails. I greatly value Nate's legal services, his professionalism, and his knowledge of the law and highly recommend Nate to anyone.

Kristine was the best lawyer I ever had. She is a wonderful person, and also very knowledgeable with divorce law. She tries to do things collaboratively, and that actually worked very well in my case, as my ex is not the easiest person to deal with, neither was his lawyer who is known to be very aggressive. In this case, trying to be collaborative and civil actually worked quite well , and I was very happy with the outcome. It's never easy to write about or disclose personal information involving Family Law, but I honestly found a good lawyer that performed her work exceptionally, so I feel I should let people know. I screened a lot of attorney's and discussed my personal situation. It wasn't easy re-living the ordeal. I quickly realized that the law is complicated and a lot of lawyers can focus in on one particular area and neglect the others. Other lawyers can hit the panic button and lead you to think that the situation is dire. I was looking for sound advice about my situation according to my legal options. And I found it in Susanne. She really listened and explained the law well. I met with her several times, in her convenient downtown location. I remember I had emailed her a bunch of questions, she brought those with answers to our consultation. Her professionalism and understanding of the law was a huge sigh of relief. I felt better knowing my options and what can and can't be done according to the law. Navigating the courts, can be daunting but she knows exactly how to do it. She's also an excellent communicator, always available and responsive. Having a good attorney is important especially in Family Law situations, where loved ones and the right thing to do should come first. I've used Kiana for several custody cases with former partners and she's been wonderful. Not only is Kiana sharp and able to make a strong case or defense, but she does a thorough job of researching a situation before she responds. She knows her law.

I went through restraining order hearing, before , during and after the hearing, he gave the most honest and truthful and ethical advice to me what I should do , what I should expect without charging me a penny.I presented myself and I got fair result.

After another Family Lawyer charged me $40K and didn't do anything but expensive discoveries, I ended up in Adam Gurley's Office begging for help. He his a kind-hearted lawyer with a deep knowledge of Family Law. He immediately put his associates to do re job. They did a supreme job without the exuberant partner fees. They are a team of caring professionals without the greed of most family law attorneys.
It was a bit inconvenient to drive to his office as I live in Daly City, but it was well worth it. They were available after regular work hours and the weekends.

I hired Mr. Gurley after his initial consultation when he overstated his abilities and also asked me to write a favorable review (on another website) due to a competition he had going with another attorney. He started out pretty good but when push came to shove he pretty much sold me out. The real eye opener was in an all day negotiating session he arrived ahead of me and without waiting for me to arrive , began meeting with opposing counsel and did not respond to my phone calls. He went on to make numerous comments regarding the lack of value while negotiating personal property issues. Then after we had negotiated a settlement, and I requested that he NOT continue responding to opposing counsel's requests, which amounted to clerical functions while charging out at an attorney's hourly rate, Mr Gurley withdrew from my case as I was in the middle of packing and scrambling to lease an apartment, after my initial agreement fell through. I was shocked that he would pull such a unprofessional maneuver. I would not recommend him to a friend .

I had been struggling with my divorce for several years until Lilah stepped in. Lilah immediately put me at ease because I knew I was in the hands of a pro. What I liked most about Lilah is that she formulated a strategy for me. She gave me my options and explained the pros and cons of each so that I was still ultimately in control. She was straight forward not only with the strengths of my case but also equally blunt about my weaknesses. She refused to blow smoke up my skirt allowing me to have false confidence in the unlikely. I really respected that.
Lilah was also understanding of my financial situation by giving me advice to help me save money instead of cranking up the expenses as many attorneys do.
When it came time to put the case together, Lilah's expertise was obvious. She overwhelmed the other party with a clear and logical case that was supported with facts and legal precedence. It was unarguable. And it would've been an impossible feat by myself.
I am very happy with the results Lilah got for me.

I never planned on divorcing, so I had no clue how to even start the process and I felt quite overwhelmed. My first meeting with Lilah consisted of me learning a ton of complex details in words and explanations I could actually understand. Lilah took the time to explain the journey through divorce towards amiable co-existance and co-parenting. Lilah took my concerns seriously and respected my desire for harmonious dynamics between me and my ex. The forms and explanations she drafted and submitted were excellent in form and content- she really knows her business. The dialogue she gave me to use in court came in handy and helped me gain and maintain some agency in the courtroom. Lilah accepted and respected my priorities, so my divorce wasn't about money and acrimony, it was about learning the process and making the best decisions for my kids. Lilah always kept my kids in mind. She is an expert in her field and a true people person as well.

I hired this attorney from a well-known law firm in San Francisco at the recommendation of a new friend. I was newly separated at a vulnerable time in my life. Lilah seemed confident and well spoken. However, she filed my case incorrectly with the court (which now has to be fixed), her firm over-billed, she did not provide any strategy or direction for my case (I came up with most of the strategy from the advice of friends) and she raised her voice to me several times, and was kinder to opposing counsel than she was to me -- and now I see why. She was looking for another job while her own firm dissolved. Beware this attorney. At the very least, she lacks the experience to handle a complicated family law case. Hire a certified family law specialist instead.

We were having family troubles. We hired Natalia to help calm them down as a mediator. First day, she charged us nearly $1000 dollars. When we wanted her to send her letter, she wrote it way too aggressively. It made everything in our family worse. If you went an actual mediator, hire someone else.

Mr Graham's performance on my case was shocking. He repeatedly demonstrated a dangerous lack of attention to detail generating error ridden discovery documents and a frustrating inability to comprehend simple financial transactions. Despite enormous fees, Mr. Graham achieved little to nothing on my behalf.

He’s a nice guy but he does not have a productive bone in his body. His paralegal and him would charge for opening emails and not respond to opposing counsel. You would do much better setting out of correct without Andrew representing you. He will collect $19k in two months without making any progress on your case.

If you're looking for a divorce attorney who is not above lying, playing tricks, refusing to meet and confer with opposing counsel before hearings, and frequently interrupting, talking over and essentially bullying the judge into getting his way, then Eric's your guy. Eric is representing the defendant (my ex) in our divorce case. I have wondered why my many attempts at settlement over the last several months were getting nowhere, despite my ex complaining about the 6-figures in fees he has paid Eric. I now understand why. Using these weasely tactics, Eric has successfully ducked and dodged any spousal support order (we've been separated 2.5 years after a marriage with domestic violence). I wouldn't consider this behavior ethical, but some don't care. Your choice.

This is not something I typically do - writing a review for an attorney - but thanks to an “unhealthy” and highly litigious ex-wife, I’ve had more lawyers in my life than I care to admit. Since I unfortunately have a lot of experience within the family law system, I can say with the utmost confidence that Lorie Nachlis, without question, is the best family law attorney you will ever find.
My case had a little bit of everything but, from the moment I met Lorie during the search for representation process, I knew she could expertly handle it all, and she most certainly did. I was searching for family law services and reached out to NCLW via website, email, and phone 4 times over a two week period before getting a response back from them. Once I was able to connect with someone from NCLW, we set about scheduling a consultation but communication & expectation-setting around their process was piecemeal. I characterize my overall experience with them as unresponsive and unprofessional.

Kent took 3 months to go back and forth to creditors with no outcome whatsoever and no paper trail, just word of mouth to the work he was doing. He would send weekly excel sheets of his "work" and would charge 10 minutes for an email that was one sentence long when it literally does not take more than 30s. After a couple thousand dollars and ending up back where we started, we ended having to get a different lawyer.

Kent cannot be trusted to have any of your interests in mind. He shamelessly inflated his timesheet on what, even her claimed to be, was a very simple case. He conveniently inflated his timesheet to complete his entire retainer. Once the case was dismissed in my favor, he took a call from the opposing party, charging me for that, and then setting up a meeting with her which he would further charge me for. There was no reason for him to take the call or create a meeting, it would extend a case that was over, essentially working against me. He also charged me for filling out paper work to pursue the prevailing party's clause which he never actually submitted. truly fraudulent.
