I had a great experience hiring Attorney Andrew Phoden early this year
My employer and I had some conflicts and I needed to hire an attorney to represent me. I was very nervous during that time.
For my knowledge, some attorneys are great to help you solve the problems, but others may create more issues than you think. I did not know which lawyer would be suitable for me.
I looked at online reviews and called ten attorneys. Finally, I found the best one, Att. Phoden.
When I talked to him for the first time. He listened very carefully to the case and gave me excellent suggestions. At that moment, I felt very confident about the case. He has a thorough knowledge of the law and defended my case with determination. In the procedure, Attorney Phoden and his assistant Amber helped me dealing with this very stressful case. I admire his composure, work ethic and most of all excellent representation.

This attorney should consider gaining more experience in a law firm before transitioning to his own practice. My experience with him was bad, very bad. Let me break down my experience with this man:
- During our Zoom call, he didn’t even show his face.
- Be cautious with this guy. He spent an hour going over scenarios with me on what to say to the district, only for me to find out that the district wouldn’t talk to me now that I had an attorney. It felt like he was just racking up a bill.
- The district had me reporting in three times a day at the admin building just to sign in. When I shared my frustration with Andrew, his response was, "You gotta be happy with that; you still have a job." Given the circumstances, his remark was dismissive and trivializing.
- I repeatedly asked for an itemized bill and never received one, despite following up via email and phone. I have receipts to prove this.
- Then, out of nowhere, he called and told me my balance, asking if I could pay immediately even though the case was far from over.
- His communication was abysmal.
- I ended up having to hire another attorney for legal advice, because Andrew didn't know what he was doing. She provided me with a set of procedures and laws to tell Andrew how to handle the case. You might wonder why I didn’t just switch attorneys—it's because I had already paid Andrew a $2,000 deposit.
- I emailed Andrew to inform him I would not be reporting for two days due to my mental health. Please relay the message. He failed to do so.
- When I went to check in, the HR Director told me he was going to request that I be fired and that my license be revoked.
- I remained calm and reiterated everything the other attorney had advised me. She said they couldn't fire me because it would create more problems for them. She advised me to tell them that I would resign once they complied with my demands. I did just that, and it worked.
In summary, my experience with Andrew was a nightmare. He failed to communicate, didn't know how to handle my case, and left me in a worse position than before.

My case took over 2 years to come full circle and was slightly complicated, being that the person who caused my 4-car pile accident lied about having insurance... but it was a fairly easy feat for Mr. Carter to overcome. Ms. Cusic was a pleasure to speak to from the onset when I was going through the initial vetting process for a divorce attorney. Though my attorney was Ms. Horton, who is part of Ms. Cusic's firm, it was Ms. Cusic's demeanor and open and honest initial consult that left me with the choice to ultimately decide to choose her firm over the dozen or so others I vetted. Farah Ahmed is a very capable and efficient lawyer. I chose Ms. Ahmed to handle my divorce because her firm was highly recommended by a friend of mine.
During my first consultation she asked a lot of questions about my situation. She mentioned a few problem areas that she would have to look into, but, at the end, she gave me a good overview of how the case would proceed and how it would end up. Her overview ended up being quite accurate.
Ms. Ahmed is very thorough and organized. She stayed on top of the case throughout, making sure that the necessary documents were supplied by both sides. She does not mess around and gets straight to the point. You shouldn’t expect a lot of chit-chat from her. Nevertheless, she is very pleasant and easy to get along with.
She was able to foresee multiple pitfalls and roadblocks and was able to get around them. Ultimately, she got me to a good resolution. I don’t think that I could have hoped for better.

What I like about Sarah Rose and her assistant, Danielle was that They are fast and responsive. I was in a bad situation with domestic violent, got CPS involved. They got me Protect Order right at the moment where I needed the most. I thought my case would take awhile to finalized but It resolved at the time where it should be. I got what I was asking for. I had the pleasure of being represented by Walter Schouten. Ironically, he was referred to me by an attorney that I consulted with. I was told to call Walter because he is very knowledgeable and he's an outstanding trial lawyer. Walter took on my case and he was assisted by an amazing paralegal in Vanessa Enciso. This dynamic duo believed that they could help my situation in securing me a new trial for a custody case. They went to work immediately. This was 2 weeks after I lost at trial while being represented by a different firm.
Long story long...Walter was able to get me a new trial, and he was able to get the judge to change her previous ruling. I am now the custodial parent of my 7 year old son.
I have to admit that even if I wasn't awarded custodial rights, I was more than satisfied with the representation and would have been able to live with the ruling a lot easier. Knowing that I was being properly represented was huge for me. Especially since the previous firm I hired for this case was absolutely terrible.

This review is a long time coming. I've worked with and relied on Shannon on three separate occasions over custody disputes of my eldest daughter. On all three occasions she was able to improve my situation and on two of those occasions where my situation was improved, I was on defense where I was the one that got served papers.

We had our child via surrogate; however, during the height of covid the number of guests in the hospital was limited. Our gestational carrier agreement was in another state and our child was birth in TX. The hospital couldn't do anything to help us and the birth mother was listed as the mother on the birth certificate. To have this change to my name was a challenge.
