Hired Joe to help me with a old case. Per all his reviews he sounded like he would be a great lawyer so he got hired... needless to say I'm going to b the 1st to tell the truth on here an its not because I got time whatsoever its because how RUDE AND I DISRESPECTFUL he was to my family... when my uncle called Joe acted like he had no idea who I was and was very rude to him... he told my mom he wld b by the jail to visit me before court and NEVER came.... 2nd court date he didn't even show up after telling me he would be there... FINALLY was the last court date and I didn't think he was going to be there then he showed up right before the judge was going to send me back to jail because they was ready for lunch... money was completely wasted with him... no matter what family of mine called to ask him questions he was RUDE AND CLAIMED HE DIDN'T KNOW ME BUT HE SURE GOT THAT CASH. I will not 6hire him or reger6 him to ANYONE ELSE...125 days on a case for 2017 and again its not the jail time its the disrespect he had for all my family... I am extremely thankful to have found Mr. Moses to assist me with my case. Mr. Moses provided me with great advice and immeasurable piece of mind when I found myself in the unfortunate position of needing an employment lawyer. His advice was great both at providing me a clear path for how to act and for managing my expectations and concerns. Michael Moses is an exemplary lawyer! He was able to settle my case in less than three months and I was extremely satisfied with the settlement! He was very knowledgeable regarding the laws relating to my case and was able to explain things in layman terms . Erika Young may be a good lawyer for some but she has been rude and obnoxious in our case. She has directed snide remarks during court sessions which were inappropriate. She developed a codependent relationship with our child, she has intentionally driven a wedge between use and our child who has mental health problems.

Despite providing substantial documentation to support our claims, our concerns have been consistently disregarded by State Farm Fire and Casualty, leading us to contemplate submitting complaints against the attorney representing State Farm Fire and Casualty to The Ohio Board of Professional Conduct and The Office of Disciplinary Counsel. State Farm's actions have demonstrated a pattern of bad faith practices, including a failure to conduct a thorough investigation into our corporation and the unauthorized disclosure of confidential policy information to a third party without proper authorization. These actions have not only hindered the progress of our insurance claim but also infringed upon our rights as a small African American-owned business.
Specifically, we would like to highlight the following grievances:
1. **Failure to Conduct a Proper Investigation**: We contend that State Farm neglected to conduct a comprehensive investigation into our insurance claim, focusing erroneously on individual personnel rather than engaging with all relevant stakeholders as required by Ohio regulations.
2. **Lack of Personal Contact**: Despite my pivotal role within the corporation and clear documentation listing my responsibilities, State Farm failed to make any direct contact with me during their investigation, breaching standard investigative protocols.
3. **Allegations of Discrimination**: Our status as an African American-owned business raises concerns of potential discrimination in State Farm's handling of our claim, with actions suggesting bias in their decision-making processes. Additionally State Farm Fire and Casualty company disclosed policy information to an unauthorized party without any consent from any officer, partner or shareholder of our corporation. (Attached evidence) Please view the attached sworn under oath statements attached specifically answer number 7
"7. Please admit or deny that you, Deborah McSurley, were given notice that on or about
August 16, 2022, Claim Number 35-29N7-27R had been denied.
ANSWER: Admit. I contacted State Farm’s corporate office and they advised me I was
not a named insured and that the claim had been denied."
4. **Engagement with Black Lives Matter**: In response to perceived injustices, we have reached out to the Black Lives Matter organization to seek support and potentially raise awareness of our case within the community and beyond.
5. **Attempts to Resolve the Issue**: Multiple efforts to engage with State Farm's attorney, Lori Thomson, have been met with silence, prompting us to explore alternative avenues of addressing these issues.

I wish to express my gratitude for the valuable services provided by your esteemed organization, which enables consumers to address professional misconduct. I am writing to share my experience regarding State Farm Fire and Casualty's attorney, Ms. Lori Thomson.
I have personally experienced violations of my rights, including racial discrimination and defamation of character, at the hands of State Farm Fire and Casualty. Additionally, the rights of our protected class organization, The HCV Distribution Corporation, have been consistently disregarded by Ms. Thomson. The attached document provides evidence of State Farm Fire and casualty's breach of our company's private policy information by sharing it with an unauthorized third party. Despite clear violations of my rights and those of our company, Ms. Thomson has failed to respond adequately to our requests for resolution. She has also instructed us not to contact State Farm Fire and Casualty regarding these violations, yet she continues to disregard our attempts to seek a resolution.
In February 2024, we sent a certified letter to State Farm Fire and Casualty seeking a settlement for these violations. Although it was received and signed for, it was ultimately disregarded. The response from Ms. Thomson included personal threats of criminal charges for our attempts to address these violations. I am reporting Ms. Thomson to the professional board of conduct due to suspected racial discriminatory actions, which parallel the treatment we have received from State Farm Fire and Casualty.
Despite providing sworn evidence of the violations and rights infringements, Ms. Thomson has ignored our requests and resorted to threatening me personally with criminal charges, despite her client's violation of my personal rights and those of our corporation, The HCV Distribution Corporation Inc. We are urgently seeking your involvement to address these violations.
I would like to emphasize that I am a registered minister in the state of Ohio and a sworn public servant notary in Lucas County with a clear background and record. It is both unprofessional and a violation of my rights for Ms. Thomson to threaten filing a police report against me for seeking answers and a resolution.
We have filed complaints with various authorities, including The Ohio Department of Insurance, The Ohio Civil Rights Commission, The Ohio Attorney General's Office, The Ohio Supreme Court, The Ohio Office of Disciplinary Counsel, the Better Business Bureau, The Office of the Honorable Governor Mike DeWine, The Consumer Protection Bureau, The Federal Trade Commission, and the Office of Ohio Senator Sherrod Brown.
I kindly ask for your immediate involvement and appropriate actions to address these actions committed against me personally and against our corporation, The HCV Distribution Corporation. I have attached relevant documents for your review and appreciate your assistance in addressing this serious and ongoing matter.

Very unprofessional. I paid Jessica $350; all she did was eat her breakfast, and she gave me some paperwork. She was too rude even to answer any questions and never answered my calls after the original consultation . She then claimed to have sent me several emails and demanded that I answer her (her way to get rid of me as a client) to sever her services; at this point, I realized it was best to cut my losses and get a lawyer who cared. My case was unique in Ohio. As a WA state grandma I was seeking visitation for my granddaughter. I chose Virginia through the internet. Always Virginia was very professional and very thorough. She mostly answered the phone herself and kept me on track; she was always available and sometimes with the three hour difference in time it was difficult for both of us. If she couldn't reach me then she would email promptly. I ended up stepping down from the case; knowing that we would most likely win; however the situation itself became a no-win situation. As in the beginning so was the ending, an honest, forthright attorney. I was never sorry that I chose Virginia to guide me through this journey. Thank you.

I was being represented in court by Donna Mayor she had done nothing for me in court. She was rude and not willing to listen to a word on my case. She didn't even look at my paperwork or evidence in my favor. It wasn't that I didn't want to pay I just didn't agree with all the fees and being charged 3x my rent amount. I had recieved rental assistance for which my landlord only applied 2 months. He applied the rest to unreasonable charges which was thousands of dollars. I even wanted to represent myself but she discouraged me with her actions and bullying. A man named Chris who works there was trying to find information in regards to my funds from the city and what they were for. she started throwing paper at him and belittling him. Now I have no one to help me. Donna just wanted me to settle so she can go on about her day doing nothing or just as okay with me being evicted. She seemed more representing of my landlord then me. When i explained the behavior to her supervisor it was said she was a good attorney. Talking about accountability. Please if your are desperate don't go to this agency they will make sure your family becomes homeless and humilate you while in the process too. I cannot believe the government funds this agency to ruin lives and collect money.
