I recently worked with Brain for my estate planning needs, and overall, it was a positive experience. The office was professional, and Brian S. Lyda was knowledgeable and attentive, answering all my questions clearly.

It took me some time to write this because of all the emotions I have been going through, but in a nutshell, my purchase transaction for a condo in Manhattan fell through last week. I believe that Weidenbaum and Harari bears primary responsibility for the deal falling apart, and I deeply regret ever hiring them.
A summary of what went wrong:
• My case was assigned to a lawyer (Eugene Sarantis) who was on vacation and would not return until the following week. I was not happy that my case was being assigned to an associate out on vacation but I let it go.
• It was virtually impossible to get in contact with my lawyer. Despite my repeated attempts to reach Eugene via phone and e-mail, he did not respond to my request for an update until I directly asked one of the partners, Jack Harari, to intervene. The first time I was actually able to speak with Eugene was 13 days after the contract had already been sent.
• I was not brought into the contract negotiation process until the very end. I was not even sent a copy of the contract and riders until several days after they had been sent to Weidenbaum and Harari, and as referenced earlier, I was unable to speak with Eugene about the contract and provide input until 13 days into the contract negotiation process.
• Revisions were made to the contract and riders without my knowledge or consent. During the 13 days before I was finally able to speak with Eugene, negotiations and changes were being made to the contract and riders without my consent, and in many cases, without my even knowing about the requested changes.
Although I was initially told by Jack that the entire contract negotiation process would likely take 7-10 days, the contract was still not finalized 14 days after it had initially been sent. By that point, the seller had become extremely frustrated with the process and pulled out of the deal.
In hindsight, I believe that my biggest mistake in this condo purchase transaction was hiring Weidenbaum and Harari to represent me. If I could do it over again, I would have hired a different legal team, and I genuinely believe that the outcome would have been different if I had.

This was my first time pursuing a lawsuit and I couldn’t have went with a better lawyer. Ismail was checked off all the boxes when it came to a great lawyer. My case was a bogus stop by NY state trooper which stated that I had left my lane and crossed over the dashed lines without signaling when in fact I stood in my lane straight as an arrow, the police failed to bring about the video evidence of this stop in the court filings. Mr Fisher, during covid and while I was in crutches with a broken fibula was able to get this case dismissed with a $200 court fee after the judge ruled. I thank Mr. Fisher for his communication, his sharpness and his professionalism on this case. I recommend him a million times if you have the money to get a top notch lawyer!

An update now- Paul has recently helped me with a copyright case with a nasty client. He is kind, patient, and literally saved my life from this mess. He is so knowledgeable in many different areas of legal practice, and most importantly, he is very kind.
Previously worked with Paul on a sale of my condo. Paul is very efficient throughout the process. Some drama during the process but we managed to deal with them and he always looks out for my interests even though the buyers were nasty to deal with. Sean O Hara has no business in law, came off nice, seemingly, except he contradicted himself several times. Claiming he never heard from the company, but knew where they sent my w-2…Did nothing for nine months and when I gave him crucial information he tried to get money, completely unaware that I had another attorney related to this case. His terrible work caused me to go through their employees and that’s a no for me dog, all white men. Fired and replaced. Don’t waste your time, not my first rodeo, but apparently his. Mind you the case was easy, pictures, text messages and he blew it, lazy, lazy, lazy. Easily the most important client you’ll ever have too.
