I am so happy to report my first A++ Lawyer experience, and it was with Orin Kurtz. Orin has been working with me for nearly two years now, resolving a payment dispute with a former employer who promised several thousands of dollars in payments, yet never delivered them upon termination of our contract.
Though the amount was small in the big scheme of things, Orin still took on my case and fought it for well over 15 months of negotiations and stall tactics from my former employer. The attention to detail was impeccable, and after many, many months we achieved our desired result. I am grateful for Mr. Kurtz' attention to detail and to his supportive explanation of all strategies and options.

When my out-of-state employers failed to pay my wages, expenses or severance, taking the attitude that there was nothing I could do about it, I didn't know where to turn. I took a chance on Orin, and am so glad I did.
He listened carefully at our first meeting and gave me a realistic initial assessment of the case. He was always extremely responsive to my questions. His billing was fair and clearly explained. And above all, he was tirelessly diligent and resourceful in overcoming numerous obstacles as the case unfolded.
Long story short, he obtained a judgement in my favor in federal court while the defendants stonewalled. He then undertook a difficult collections process, against out-of-state defendants who were expert at concealing assets. He eventually succeeded in having their bank account seized, forcing them to settle on favorable terms. It was a far better outcome than I had hoped.
Orin is just an outstanding attorney and a pleasure to work with. I can't recommend him highly enough.

I retained Orin to help me negotiate a better severance agreement with my prior employer. He listened to my story, asked the "right" questions and developed a strategy that highlighted the merits of my case. He was able to talk me through my rights, what action I could take and what I could/couldn't reasonably expect in a way that was easy for me to understand. He was even available to me on weekends, which I felt was really going above and beyond. Orin provided extremely effective representation and negotiated a monetary settlement as well as non-monetary terms much better what was initially offered. He did a fantastic job.

It's a hard pill to swallow when you come to a point where you must debate on whether you should file for bankruptcy or not. After weighing all possible options, I decided to file and was referred to Robert Fox. It had started as an initial phone call with quick questions regarding your income, your debt and your expenses. This is what they call the Means test. After answering all the questions, I was told I was a "good" candidate to file. We then proceeded to schedule a future date to talk again going into further details about my debt and expenses. What was really nice for me was i asked if we should talk over the phone or meet in person. Robert said it was my preference and really didn't mind if I chose either way. He understood that people were busy and couldn't always make time to travel to his office. However, he did suggest that meeting in person would be more personable. That right away made me feel a bit more relieved during the process. It gave me a sense of security in knowing he wanted to do his job and do it right. And if it meant putting a face to a file, then i was all for it.
On my office visit, I was greeted by Iris at the front desk. (Please pay attention to her. She is another instrumental person in the process). Very pleasant and nice lady. After meeting with Robert and getting all the things done during our discussion, Iris gave me papers to look over and sign and gave me my list of things to do over the next couple of days. She also told me she would be in contact with me from time to time til my hearing. And in the days leading up to my hearing, she always gave me detailed instructions on everything and anything. Don't worry, Robert was always available for me whenever I had any questions.
Now one thing before I end my review. You, as the client, must do everything asked of you by Robert and Iris if you want the whole process to go smoothly and without a hitch. If you do your part, and do it right, they can do theirs correctly.
Robert and Iris, thank you for everything. A huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders. Thank you again.

During the covid period I was in a mess operating my business. Our creditors refused to offer any payment facilities. In desperation we had reached out to Attorney Jeb Singer for advice.
He listened to me carefully and explained all the options including negotiating with lenders. Having failed, he suggested bankruptcy.

It isn’t my intention to make my review this long, but it’s the only way to truly share my experience. I’ll pay it forward. After months of contemplating, researching the subject and reaching the conclusion I’m truly in the worst of financial troubles, I still wasn’t 100% sure if I could or should go through with bankruptcy. I wasn’t there yet. I was terrified at the thought. Enter Mr. Singer. The first thing was the website. It was very different than most. It’s put together right. It’s not intimidating. So I called the number. To my surprise Mr. Singer picks up the phone. Not an answering machine or secretary or anything. He doesn’t know me and is talking to me like I’m a family member. Like his grandson or son. He spoke to me about ME. With dignity and respect. Not about money or what I did wrong. Not about My mistakes. But is this action now apart of my life’s journey? Do I need to start over? That changed everything for my decision going forward without any fear. Elliot who’s apart of Mr. Singers team is the nicest guy ever. He made the process very easy for me. Chris did a great job with my case. Chris became my lawyer for a FINRA Arbitration case in 2008. He listened to my complaint, filed notice soon after and engaged an expert witness. We discussed mediation, found it to be agreeable and approached the defendant who at first agreed and at the last minute reneged. At all times Chris kept me informed of the process, costs and developments.
In early 2009, the Arbitration Hearing took place near my home. Chris came down a full day early, met with me and my wife, discussed the case in detail, and gave appropriate advice. The hearing went on for four days and was difficult. Chris's Expert Witness was perfect. At all times Chris was knowable and demanding of the defendant.
As a result, the decision was in my favor with a nice financial award and the defendant required to pay all hearing costs. I felt vindicated and pleased that the losses I had suffered were replaced.
I give all the credit to Chris Jon Gray for the happy results. I would hire him again.

Raphael Janove came to us from a source we trusted. We were told he was very astute, knew the law well, and gave very sound advice. This turned out to be true in all cases. In dealing with a potential lawsuit there were many meetings with Raphael (Rafi) where my position on what to do was challenged by Rafi. I had sound logic regarding why my thoughts were the right way to proceed. Never did it finally stick with my original position because of the way Rafi presented his arguments. And, to add to this, his style is conversational, collaborative, and enjoyable to work with. We have no need to look for any other attorney when one is necessary to hire.

I highly recommend working with Max. I reached out to Max in July 2023 in regards to an airline settlement for help in getting refund for my claim. I emailed Max multiple times asking him questions and to follow up on my refund status. Mr. Axelrod proved himself to be an experienced, cool, knowledgeable litigator. Along with his team, he defeated the largest health insurance company in my state to prove my innocence. In a small state like Rhode Island, where everyone knows each other, that was no small feat. You really should have seen him argue the "Dobere" as it was lightly referred to in a courtroom presided upon by a judge with a family history of french Canadian speaking relatives. He did the near impossible and had the Chairman of the AMA CPT committee thrown off the stand when Mr. Axelrod proved he was "only the head of a bureaucratic committee and NO expert witness in my case."
