I am 80 years old and met with Mollie Whitehead to update my Will as well as review my other Trust documents. I also wanted to have Powers of Attorney set up. Mollie was professional, knowledgeable and efficient. She provided a great analysis, answered my questions on estate planning & I agreed she should send me a draft of the items we agreed upon. That process took very little time & with a minimum of editing, we finalized & formally signed all the documents.

Mollie provided all of the documents and expertise needed to complete our estate planning. We hired her to develop wills, healthcare power of attorneys, and business power of attorneys. She recommended me establish a family trust and provided all of the documents and took care of transferring our real estate to the trust. My experience with Salvador is that of hope. Salvador was referred to my family and it honestly added hope to a situation for too difficult cope with. In 2015, my parents along with my sister, seemed to had been fighting a losing battle to save a home. Salvador took up my parents' foreclosure case and ensured that he would do anything in his power to secure the best possible solution. Through the years, the services of his office were always so polite, so professional, and on top of that, they speak Spanish. The bilingual staff, helped to create comfort for my mom so that she can fully understand the process and the work Salvador's office was doing for my family. Whether it was phone calls, even in person visits, Salvador was always very thorough and explained to us what was going on. Cutting to the chase, 5 years later, my parents were able to sell the property and ultimately put an end to this nightmare. Words cannot describe the gratitude I have for the services that can now help my mom sleep better at night, as a son, you hope for the best for your mother in her later years and I can honestly say that thanks to Salvador, my mom can was was saved from such a huge financial disaster. Mr. Lopez did an outstanding job assisting me with the foreclosure sale of my home in Illinois although I lived in another state. He was very thorough explaining every step of the process. I especially appreciated the fact that the process was completed in 30 days. I communicated with him via phone and email. I was concerned about having to come back to Chicago for closing and that was not necessary which was a tremendous load off of me given my financial state at that time. I recommend him because he loves working with people and does not belittle his clients or make you feel rushed to make decisions. Given I have never met him in person, I was truly impressed with the genuine and honest character of this individual. Great overall service.

Chris took on an industry behemoth on my behalf and settlement was negotiated within 7 months!
He tackled the assignment with vigor and confidence; his analytics and brief were top notch and I believe that is what got the other side to the table in such short order. He's also quick on his feet ~ right back in their faces when the opposing side came at us. Good command of the laws and pressure points too.

My mom and I hired Sally Chung to create an asset protection trust and she and her staff were fantastic and responsive throughout the entire process. I asked Sally a lot of questions and she was very patient with me, and provided a lot of important details. I spoke with 5 other attorneys to get info and quotes, and by far, Sally was the most knowledgeable and professional. The very first attorney I spoke with to get details and a quote made me feel very uncomfortable...almost like she was skeptical...and did not give me all the pertinent details in deciding which type of trust to go with. I would never recommend that attorney and instead, I'm so happy we hired Sally as she was the complete opposite and I would absolutely recommend her. It also helped that Sally speaks both Korean and English to ensure my mom and I understood the details and to confirm with my mom what she wanted to do. Much appreciated!

In thinking about Tom Burke, the three words that come to mind are integrity, character and brilliance. I am in the Construction Industry and had been trying to receive payment from a customer for over 15 months. My lawyer at the time had yet to accomplish anything, so I finally made the decision to switch my representation. In under four months, Tom Burke was able to accomplish what no one else had been able to; he pushed the opposing council to avoid further delays, he kept the matter from going to court, he got us a very generous settlement, and he even went so far as to go to Kane County to pick up the check for us.

Tom Burke represented us with success in a dispute with an investment counselor. More than anything else, he was responsive and reactive to our information, asked questions on a need to know basis and kept us informed with developments. He was candid with his assessment of our posture, creative in his prosecution of our claim and persistent in his settlement posture. I am a lawyer, and I enjoyed working with Tom and appreciated his regard for my suggestions. We were far more financially benefited by his representation (resulting in more than a $1M recovery) than with other attorneys we consulted with who estimated the value of our claim at less than 10% of the settlement Tom Burke achieved. He virtually rescued out retirement.

Jim Smith was our closing attorney through the process of both selling and buying our home and we cannot say enough about him. We had a short turnaround after selling our house quickly but Jim’s knowledge and efficiency made this a stress free experience for us. He worked really well with the real estate agents and banks to get everything done rapidly while communicating with us the entire time. He also was available to answer every question we had. We were not able to make it to both closings while moving out of our house on the same day so he worked with us ahead of time so that he could take care of one closing for us. I am the guardian of a mentally disabled family member. Some years ago I was embroiled in a long-standing, complex dispute with care providers that could have resulted in devastating and dangerous consequences for my ward. Lara entered my legal case at this point, and assisted in bringing the situation under control in just a few months. Her wisdom, knowledge, patience, calmness and exceptional skills as a negotiator and counselor helped to bring about a solution that was better than anything I had hoped for. Since then, I have continued to work with Lara as my attorney for all guardianship issues, which fortunately, have been relatively routine since that early crisis. Lara has such a passion for protecting and serving the disabled. Her compassion is boundless, yet she is like a rock when she takes a stand for what is needed, and she cannot be manipulated. We hired Kathleen Robson as our real-estate attorney when we purchased our home in 2013 and when we had to sell in 2017. She took all of the stress out of the process and kept in good contact thru ought the process leading up to the closing.
What I like about Kathleen is she is tough, no nonsense and likable, I guess that's what you should have in a lawyer. If you are selling or buying it is well worth a couple of hundred bucks to have this lawyer at your side.
