David failed to appear for two family court appearances. David took advantage of a young father seeking legal counsel recently in Oakland County, Mi. I will be submitting a grievance regarding David accepting retainers without appearing, failing to call his client back, failing to appear in court, and overall being unfit to provide legal counsel/services in good faith. David, you told my son he would receive his full retainer back on Monday 8/19/24 for your failure to act as his legal representation. Where is his retainer? Call Jake back, answer your calls. Several red flags about David would be he doesn’t have a paralegal. A paralegal would make sure you are in court when you are hired to be there. David doesn’t return calls, texts or emails. Do not use David for your case he’s not acting in good faith & shouldn’t be practicing currently as an attorney. David you stole my son’s time and his ability to trust his own hired counsel. You should be ashamed wasting both parties time and money. I talked to you about your behavior on Monday 8/19/24, you told me my son is your best client…. Now people can read all about how you treat your “best client”. You need rehab. And I will make sure the bar association knows every detail about your treatment of my son.

I purchased a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica in June 2016. In August things started going wrong with just about everything. It was in and out of the dealership every month. After months of this, I contacted Chrysler to submit a case to their buy back department. Again, months went by and no resolution from them. I found Troy by web searches. He was local and reviews were great. I was impressed with prompt returned calls and emails. He listened and had my best interest at heart. I truly believe without hiring him, I would still be fighting with Chrysler. He took much of the stress off my shoulders and most of all was honest with me. I can't thank him enough for his help!

I found Troy by searching attorneys for the Lemon Law, l liked what I read and thought I would give him a try. It would be my first time dealing with an attorney that I had never met, however my outcome was perfect. I had a 2015 Jeep Patriot that I had purchased in January of 2015 and only had 3000 miles on it. I took it in twice within 30 days for the sun roof leaking, 5 times within a month because of the check engine light. They tried to fix the sunroof but the transmission was another story. The last time they had it for 30 days and had to call engineers from Auburn Hills to come out. They literally torn that vehicle apart from top to bottom. I didn't feel comfortable with the fact they said they fixed it and it fell within the Lemon Law guidelines. My dealings with Troy were very easy I could email him information, fax it to him or need be talk with him. I learned from him that I signed the arbitration agreement which I pretty much signed my rights away because I used an employee discount something people don't realize when signing all the forms for a purchase, but if you don't sign it you cannot use the discount. However, in the end with persistence on his part he was able to get Chrysler to honor the lemon law. The middle of January 2016 I was given a refund from Chrysler all but $500 for mileage and they paid him in full. I can't thank him more for what he did, I would recommend him to anyone that needs help with a lemon.

My case was a change of domicile. I received a great career offer that I didn’t want to turn down but unfortunately my child’s father was not on board with my decision. So I called 7 different attorneys even attorneys that I used in the past. Every lawyer I spoke to asked for a retainer fee upfront without even hearing my case out. But not James we talked on the phone for one hour he never even mentioned a retainer fee I had to ask that question. I explained to him that with me moving out of state and affording a lawyer was very difficult. James came up with 3 payment options that I could choose from I was really shocked and grateful especially from my experience with the previous lawyer’s. Regarding my case James was available anytime I called he would get back with me within an hour time frame email or telephone during business hours. If he was busy his team accommodated me and helped with any questions I had. We won the case and I had a short time span because I had already accepted the job so I had one month to get everything done and I was really amazed at how fast James accomplished everything in a timely manner. In early 2010, our home suffered moderate damage due to a lightening strike. We had homeowners coverage from a major insurance company and had never missed a payment or had any previous damage claims under our policy.
Trying to get the Insurance company to honor the policy turned out to be a living nightmare. The sad truth, we discovered, is that our insurance company found it more economical to deny and fight the
claim instead of honoring our policy agreement. The insurance company had a system in place that included: Contractors that destroy evidence, paid off "experts" and lawyers at their disposal.
Our claim was pretty straight forward, with lightning damage, but we found ourselves in a legal game that we couldn't afford to play. Out of desperation, we contacted McCray law. Doug was wonderful to work with. He's calm and logical about how Insurance companies work and is very experienced in Michigan law. Doug was able to give us a legal presence and a path to a fair settlement. I would recommend the McCray Law Firm to anyone that has had a problem with Insurance company.

In 2014 I had an income of a little over $40K. Also in that year, the Nonprofit I worked for as a consultant decided to dissolve and move it's assets to the local community foundation. The community foundation decided to use it's own staff to perform the mission of the now dissolved nonprofit and so I lost my job. In the months that followed, I was unable to find employment at that same level of compensation so lived on the income I had generated in 2014, leaving me with 4 figure tax obligations to the IRS, the State and 3 figure obligation to the City. With my current income at just above $14K, I was truly frightened to even engage any of these entities in a repayment discussion. I contacted South West Michigan Legal Service who referred me to Mr. Toft. Mr. Toft agreed to take my case. Over the weeks that Mr. Toft represented me, he thoroughly explained to me the circumstances of my situation with each entity so I could make fully informed decisions regarding the arrangement I would enter into. He talked with very unkind, uncooperative and even threatening representatives from the IRS. He successfully negotiated payment plans that I can meet based on my current financial situation. Most important to me is that he listened to me and respected and represented me to people I would have no skill to talk with in a reasonable way. He treated me with kindness and dignity at a time when I was not feeling very good about the circumstances in which I found myself. His knowledge of the incredible intricacy of tax law on the Federal, State and Local is extremely extensive. His resolution to my tax debts left me confident I can fulfill my obligations without fear of negative action from the any of the taxing authorities. I highly recommend Thomas H. Toft as a person and tax attorney.

From day one, Tom had my best interest in mind. He spent a lot of time educating me throughout the entire process of removing my name from numerous fraudulent loans. We talked frequently, with many phone calls and in-person meetings to discuss every step, record, and update from both the loan companies and credit bureaus. There was not, at any point, a time where I was not confident that I had the right person working with me to alleviate the headaches and stress of dealing with such a large amount of money and how it could affect my family. Over the nearly year-long process, Tom was able to help me remove all (numerous organizations and 10+ fraudulent loans), from my name and had them corrected by the loan companies, and removed and blocked by the credit bureaus. A few years ago I contacted Ms. Djordjeski as a recommendation from a friend for some house leasing issues I was having. She was hired by my husband and I to review our lease and help settle some disputes between us and our landlord at the time. She was super educated, eloquent and down to business. If you have nowhere to turn and need legal help, Mary LaSata Spiegel and Joe Daly from Legal Aid of Western Michigan are there to save the day.
Mary and Joe gave us practical, timely guidance on a complicated case. They didn’t judge us and always answered our questions and got back to us with great legal advice. I can’t say enough positive things about Mary and Joe! These are good lawyers who want to help people and really care about the clients they represent.
Mary’s a brilliant lawyer that has a lot of credibility within the St. Joseph legal community. Joe worked tirelessly to make sure the facts and laws were accurately represented. It was less intimidating knowing we had Mary and Joe on our side.
Not to get into the details but it was a David vs. Goliath case. We pray the outcome brings attention to greedy people victimizing the less fortunate for personal gain.

This was my second Divorce and 5th attorney. The first 4 was from my 1st divorce, and for 1 reason or another I could not keep them on the payroll. As in the case with Mary Spiegel she is a high end attorney that is well respected by her peers. So I think I know attorneys who work for you and those that don't. When Mary walks into the court room it goes silent every one knows she is there to do business she is well spoken and very well prepared for anything that might be thrown out there by the opposing party.
During the initial constellation Mary took notes and let me talk, then asked clarifying questions. She also sent me home with Homework so she could gather the necessary information that she needed.
Every phone call was Returned promptly in a day or two, emails as well. Also if you dial her extension and she is there, she picks up and talks to you.
Mary certainly looks out for your best interest ,she will guide you and tell you what the most likely outcome might be. She really cares about her clients, she works for you passionately, she has researched everything for you in the situation on hand. Mary knows the LAW and will tell it to you straight. My Divorce was complicated and confusing with many issues the had come up. However Mary was the strong hold for me through it all by her professionalism and knowledge of the law and how to handle the complicated situations. Joe Bird has been great from the first phone call thru the end of the settlement. He has always kept me well informed via email and phone. He has called to walk me through different processes that we would have to take. Just today I was contacted by MSP, who was requesting my medical records. Instead of me having to contact hospitals etc, I called Joe, on his personal cell phone. He told me he would take care of it for me and he did. He was always 100% honest with me, on how the process worked and what to expect. The expected outcome was right in line with what Joe predicted. I retained Mr. Xenos to handle a complex business dispute involving many parties. I needed a lawyer who had an expert command of not just litigation strategies, but also contracts, bankruptcy, and business acquisitions. That's why I chose Mr. Xenos, and he did not disappoint. Hired Mr. Taub after being threatened by medical collection agency, as well as a underhanded attorney who threatened me with a lawsuit that he never filed. Mr. Taub was professional, reassuring, and told me the truth. He made me feel very taken care of in a situation that was frightening and made me feel powerless. He explained to me exactly what was going on, and kept me informed every step of the way. I felt like I could contact him and reach him whenever I needed him. He got justice for me...and probably for others who have been mistreated by this attorney and collection agency. I would trust Mr. Taub with any of my affairs; and even with the affairs of family or a close friend. He is completely credible, and clearly very, very good at his job.
