I met with Sam about my files lost. He said if I could prove it , he said he would sue for millions. He told me to get affidavit from constable stating and I did and mailed it to him. Never returned my call. Then hired don bailey. Federal judge didn't seem to recognize attorney's we were suing and representing other side , represented federal judge in at least 2 prior lawsuits.

If not for Mr Samuel Stretton several years ago I wouldn’t even be here today to write this review. Now today 16 years later I am hiring him again to represent my sister and I in an upcoming pending matter. Trust, integrity, loyalty, honesty and expertise is just a few of the endless description words I can use to describe this attorney. He’s like a real life super hero out of a movie and works tirelessly to provide his clients with the best legal representation imaginable. In all my years I can honestly say I’ve never seen a trial lawyer as amazing as he is and I’ve never met an attorney that even comes close to matching his experience and expertise in a court of law. Every day I get to wake up and appreciate the time I have with my family because of this man Samuel C Stretton. He’s more than an attorney he’s like family. If you need to win your case and want the very best the state of Pennsylvania has to offer well look no further! Thankyou for everything Mr Stretton especially for saving my life.

I had leased a Mercedes that had been continuing to have reoccurring issues. When the manufacturer no longer wanted to help, Jason was there to help. He never stopped fighting and I ended up with very acceptable settlement. Jason was hardworking on my case and presented an excellent case. If I ever need Lemon services again in the future I will certainly be using Jason.

Hired Kimmel and Silverman for a lemon law case. Attorney Mis Herrit and staff were wonderful until file was given to attorney Jason Greshes. Argumentative, never lets u talk, arrives late to appointments, talks to clients like they are below himself and tries to intimidate clients. My opinion, needs anger management help.

Had an issue with a cryptocurrency exchange so I decided to contact a law firm that specializes in the industry. Called into Dechert LLP. And spoke with a K Susan Grafton representing this firm. She proceeded to berate me and call me stupid because I invested in "bitcoin". After fighting a legal battle with BOA for 5 years on our own we hired Josh Thomas in 2015. He did not file documents in time in 2016 and for this reason we have lost our house. Upon being informed I was loosing my house for this reason I contacted him multiple times 2022. His response was always the same “We can fight that! Let’s talk tomorrow.” Tomorrow never came and not only that he never informed us he had been suspended. After paying a another attorney a huge amount of money I didn’t have we are now loosing our home because of Josh not filing on time!

I face real consequences , damages because of Josh thomas, his mounting bad reputation sanctions, discipline and filing of frivolous litigation which put me in a bad position I may lose my house now that i am being bullied and have been wronged he has my money for putting me here does not acknowledge i have to dig out fast myself and he does not see what he has done owns nothing does not even respond to me. If he responds in denial I will too I am forced to protect my rights all the way in addition to saving my home What he did in my case specifically is file late, and it appears arguments that are not valid coinciding with his reputation. I am so disappointed and especially that he takes no responsibility and does not answer me at all as to the case details he said he would provide and refund I will make sure I get. Josh Thomas does have a discipline history, has been sanctioned and lies, will likely be disbarred. What he writes about me is a lie just like Judges have found on law 360 and other he has done. I will be suing for legal malpractice as others have. Stay away but honestly including these lies he will likely be disbarred soon. In my case, like so many others on line he made frivlolous arguments, represented client without meeting him and when confronted he lies more and does not take responsibility. In my case, he failed and I will be reporting his misconduct and violation of ethics all over. As to my ex, in context when he gave me horrible advice about family court I said something else that he distorted as he does all else. Stay away If only he spent his time being competent honest he would not have these reviews, dicipline history suspended in Pa referred to discipline in NJ and more. I said nothing false he did saying i had action against a lawyer when i did not having me face legal action. All can be proven Search his name read my case read others its him but part of his problem is his denial and lack of responsibility. Had he been competent, honest, i would not have needed to contact him but of course as is noted online he is lying . and exagerating he lies to Judges. even all online I will be suing and reporting as needed. Its him its his denial and incompetence, sanctions discipline suspension but as always he lies and blame shifts. If you look at the case see the opposition F1101-21 you will see his history that he lied when he said he did not receive modification documents and that tardiness is now creating a problem i will deal with and then sue him for damages and deviation from standard of care to which i was entitled. What he writes about a rental is false and could be considered a violation of confidentiality client lawyer if you would call him a lawyer and going to visit someone at their house is made up just like him among many other filing a lawsuit on behalf of someone he never met.

Don’t waste your time calling for a private attorney if you are seeking landlord/tenant lawsuit. How can you call yourself DBCA that referrals to you lawyers and not have all the bases covered. They don’t even tell you this when you call and neither on their site. They didn’t even bother to give me info to a lawyer that can provide such a service. Instead it was useless info. Info I am already aware of and have tired with mediocre results. The only decent one is a local codes officer, but I am seeking a lawyer. Not a none existent lawyer. Google is more useful. Do better. Hope this helps out a lot of people to save precious time.

If I had to compare him to someone it would be the Cowardly Lion in The Wizard of Oz. It was a sad thing to watch. If I didn't know any better I would say it was his first time ever being in the courtroom . First off,the police report My main evidence wasn't even allowed to be presented. I am grateful for the services rendered and absolutely resolved in my case for consumer protection. Mr. Mulock took copious notes in order to completely understand my case. I am aware of the hours of work that backed-up my complaint legally. He competently and reasonably negotiated a more than fair settlement out of court. Mr. Mulock was very easy to speak with and demonstrated excellent communication skills both written and verbal. His legal outline of the case for presentation was excellent and in it I had total confidence in the event that litigation was necessitated. Thank you David.

This attorney was recommended by an aquaintance so I set up a call to discuss issues surrounding a family trust, power of attorney and other elder care issues. The office never responded to my requests. This lawyer wasted my time and money. The experience was regrettable.

We all know how fortunate we feel when we find a good attorney - one we can trust, one who is an expert in his field, and one who has our best interest at heart. That is the way I feel about my attorney, Bill Blumer. I interviewed several other elder law attorneys, but I knew Bill was the right choice for me during our first meeting because of his demeanor and knowledge base. Bill has been my attorney for twelve years now. At one point, my husband was ill and unable to go out, but his signature was required on some documents. Bill very kindly brought them to our home, and explained what was needed in person. We knew it was done right because of Bill's personal involvement. He also guided me through my husband's illness with the nursing home nightmare. Since my husband's death, I've turned to Bill every time I've needed help on my "legal road." He has gone above and beyond what I expected from him. He is an expert on elder law. He explains things so that they are understandable, but never patronizes me. He takes the time to listen to my concerns and answers all of my questions. In short, Bill Blumer is professional, knowledgeable, friendly, kind and trustworthy. I hold him in the highest regard, and I recommend him enthusiastically.

Judicial ethics opinions should be public. Redact names if you must, but advisory opinions on what PA judges should or should not be doing should be public info available to everyone. Your complete lack of transparency does not engender trust in your corrupt court system. Then again, most judges probably will not seek out an opinion, anyway.

Michael is not interested in winning your case; his modus operandi involves pressuring you to settle as soon as possible at any amount. Michael then collects his attorney fee and avoids cost and trouble of actually arguing case in court. Michael comes across at first interaction as fair and compassionate; however he is running a business, and your best interests as a client are not of primary concern. Michael is also very arrogant and self-centered as a man. As a client, it was often necessary to overrule many of Micheal's decisions and recommendations in the best interest of case. Michael likes to be in charge; If you show Michael you are his equal or more knowledgeable in any way; his ego will surface, and he will turn on you. Instead of learning from others, Michael becomes defensive and combatant. In spite of being the victim in case; Michael often failed to support client position when in direct conflict with apposing attorney or personnel. This lack of client respect came across as case credibility issue; and often made me wonder if Michael felt I was the criminal. One of the most troubling instances associated with interaction with Mr. Power was his repeated courtesy towards opposing associates and attorneys; whom presented contrived and insulting allegations in court to bolster their case. Mr. Power did nothing to defend client reputation, honor or even challenge frivolous conduct or allegations. Michael has very little engineering or technical background; this is problematic when arguing cased related to automotive engineering design deficiencies. Many technical details presented in court by apposing attorney were materially flawed or insubstantial. These flawed technical arguments went right over Micheal's head, As a client, I contributed to the case, more so, than Michael; identifying and pointing out flawed technical arguments and accusations. In the end, we settled out of court; not because settlement was sufficient for level of damages; but because I was at the breaking point with Micheal, his arrogance, and his disdain to actually argue a case in court; where an attorney should be present. My case was strong, the evidence clear, and the apposing party had completely discredited themselves in documented fact. In court, a judge would have most likely awarded replacement vehicle; however with Mr. Power representing my interests; less than half of original investment was recovered, and design defect in automobile was left for me to resolve.

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!! IF I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS, I WOULD!!! I was referred to Feldman and Pinto by Flagger and Associates and truly wish I hadn't been! From the beginning, there was a clear LACK OF COMMUNICATION from ALL PARTIES of Feldman and Pinto. I continuously needed to reach out to schedule documents to be given to them, get updates I was promised, etc.! I was treated very rudely and unfairly!! They then wanted me to sign blank release forms for me and my son; OUTRIGHT REFUSING to even speak to me about WHO they would be requesting forms from, despite me mentioning that I might have additional people/agencies that could provide information. They also OUTRIGHT REFUSED TO ANSWER ANY OF MY QUESTIONS!! In addition to this, they wanted me to sign documents with FALSE INFORMATION ON IT, despite this being pointed out to them MULTIPLE TIMES!! I asked, and was REFUSED, a corrected copy to sign! I provided information to them in a timely manner; HOWEVER, THEY COULD NOT DO THE SAME EXCEPT TO DENY WORKING WITH ME!!! THEY OBVIOUSLY DID NOT WANT TO TAKE THE CASE!! I WILL HAVE TO FIND ANOTHER LAWYER TO HELP MY SON WHO WAS INJURED IN THE NICU!! DO NOT BRING YOUR CASE TO FELDMAN AND PINTO; YOU WILL BE SORRY IF YOU DO!!

What a Consumer Protection Lawyer Can Do for You

A consumer protection lawyer specializes in safeguarding individuals from unfair, deceptive, or fraudulent business practices. These lawyers advocate for the rights of consumers in disputes with businesses, helping clients recover damages related to fraud, defective products, false advertising, or violation of consumer protection laws. They work to enforce laws that prevent businesses from taking advantage of consumers and ensure that businesses adhere to fair practices.

Whether you’ve been the victim of a scam, sold a faulty product, or misled by false advertising, a consumer protection lawyer can help you navigate legal options and pursue justice.

When Should I Hire a Consumer Protection Lawyer?

You should consider hiring a consumer protection lawyer when you’ve encountered unfair or illegal business practices and need legal assistance to resolve the situation. Common scenarios include:

  • Fraud or deceptive business practices: If a company misled you into purchasing a product or service under false pretenses, a lawyer can help you seek compensation.
  • Defective products: If you purchased a product that was unsafe or defective and caused harm, a lawyer can help you file a product liability claim.

A consumer protection lawyer provides a wide range of services to help protect consumers' rights and seek compensation for harms caused by businesses. Their role may include:

  • Filing lawsuits: Representing clients in lawsuits against businesses that have violated consumer protection laws, whether through fraud, deceptive practices, or negligence.
  • Negotiating settlements: Working with businesses or their insurers to negotiate fair compensation for damages caused by unfair practices or defective products.

How Are Consumer Protection Lawyers Paid?

Consumer protection lawyers typically use different fee structures depending on the complexity of the case and the type of legal work required. Common payment methods include:

  • Contingency fee: For many consumer protection cases, such as class actions or product liability claims, lawyers may work on a contingency fee basis. This means they only get paid if they win or settle the case, taking a percentage (typically between 25% and 40%) of the awarded amount.
  • Hourly rate: For more complex cases or ongoing legal disputes, some lawyers charge by the hour. Hourly rates can range from $150 to $500 or more, depending on the lawyer’s experience and location.
  • Flat fee: For specific services, such as reviewing a contract or filing a small claim, a lawyer may charge a flat fee that covers all the necessary legal work.
  • Retainer fee: For clients needing ongoing legal assistance, some lawyers may charge a retainer fee, which is an upfront payment that is billed against as the lawyer works on the case.

It’s important to discuss fees upfront with your lawyer to understand how you’ll be charged and to avoid unexpected costs.

How Much Does a Consumer Protection Lawyer Cost?

The cost of hiring a consumer protection lawyer depends on the complexity of the case, the lawyer’s experience, and the type of legal service required. General cost estimates include:

  • Contingency fee cases: For cases handled on a contingency basis, the lawyer typically takes between 25% and 40% of any settlement or damages awarded.
  • Hourly rates: Hourly rates for consumer protection lawyers generally range from $150 to $500, with higher rates for more experienced attorneys or cases involving complex legal issues.
  • Flat fees: For specific services like contract reviews or handling a small claims case, flat fees may range from $500 to $2,000, depending on the scope of work.
  • Class actions: In class action cases, fees are often paid out of the settlement or damages awarded, and individual plaintiffs usually do not have to pay upfront.

Make sure to ask for a clear estimate of costs during your initial consultation to avoid surprises and to understand how much you can expect to pay.

Top Questions to Ask a Consumer Protection Lawyer

Before hiring a consumer protection lawyer, it’s important to ask questions to ensure they have the experience and skills to handle your case effectively. Key questions include:

  1. What experience do you have with consumer protection law?
Ensure the lawyer has specific experience handling cases like yours, whether it involves product liability, fraud, or debt collection issues.
  2. How do you charge for your services?
Clarify whether the lawyer charges by the hour, a flat fee, or a contingency fee, and ask for an estimate of the total cost of your case.
  3. What is the likelihood of success for my case?
Ask the lawyer for an honest assessment of your case and what outcome you can reasonably expect.
  4. Have you handled cases like mine before?
Make sure the lawyer has experience dealing with similar legal issues, whether it’s credit report disputes, data breaches, or defective products.
  5. What is the timeline for resolving my case?
While it can be difficult to predict exact timelines, the lawyer should give you a general idea of how long your case may take to resolve.
  6. Will you handle my case personally?
In larger firms, junior attorneys or paralegals may handle parts of your case, so it’s important to know who will be working on your claim.

How to Check the Credibility of a Consumer Protection Lawyer

To ensure you are hiring a reputable consumer protection lawyer, take the following steps to verify their credentials and track record:

  • Verify their bar status: Check with your state bar association to confirm that the lawyer is licensed to practice and has no history of disciplinary actions.
  • Check for experience in consumer protection: Review the lawyer’s website or professional profile to confirm they specialize in consumer protection law and have handled cases similar to yours.
  • Read client reviews and testimonials: Look for client reviews on platforms like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, or Google to see what previous clients have said about the lawyer’s professionalism and success rate.
  • Ask for references: A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their ability to handle consumer protection cases.
  • Look for industry affiliations: Membership in organizations like the National Association of Consumer Advocates (NACA) can indicate that the lawyer is committed to protecting consumer rights.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To get the most out of your first consultation with a consumer protection lawyer, come prepared with all relevant documents and information. Here’s what you should bring:

  • Details of the product or service in question: Bring any purchase receipts, warranties, or contracts related to the product or service involved in your claim.
  • Documentation of your complaint: Provide evidence of your complaint, such as email exchanges with the company, photos of a defective product, or a timeline of events related to the dispute.
