Wow Matthew is quick, hardworking, and honest. I had gotten a ticket two years ago that still had not been resolved, I called him and it took a couple of days for him to dismiss everything and honestly speaking my situation was not good, but still he pulled through and saved me. If anyone knows what it's like to need a lawyer on a weekend or weeknight, I found myself in that situation in 2010. After Googling attorneys, I went through the list and Mr. Swedick was the only one that answered the phone. He took care of the situation quickly. I was very impressed, and he has been my attorney now for over ten years. He works hard for his clients and his communication is excellent. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to any friend, family member or any stranger for that matter.

My journey was a very long one to say the least. However, working with Rakesh allowed me time to see the light at the end of my darkest tunnel. I’ll plea the 5th with the details but imagine doing a 5k run towards the trooper fund and loosing over 14lbs of weight in the process. It was the most expensive workout plan ever lol (I can find the humor at my own expense now that it’s over). The odds were not in my favor at the start line but with Rakesh’s support I was able to finish the race breathing freely. He advised me in the right direction, remained blunt with the facts, and reassured me to the end. To my disbelief he was able to work out every one of my “multiple misunderstandings” and if it wasn’t for his credible knowledge of the law and court processes, this may not have been otherwise possible. Although we had our moments, at the end of it all I cannot thank him enough for his hard work and time devoted to my case and for ultimately keeping my reputation intact! I was going slightly over 80mph near the I-87 / I-90 interchange near Albany. I hired Mr. Kehoe based on a positive consultation. He offered to comp his fee if it went to trial. I ended up getting the ticket plead down to a parking ticket - non moving violation. I learned about fine around a week after my trial date. I am happy with the result.

We have used Randall on a few occasions over the course of 5 years for speeding tickets for teenage drivers. Randall allows us to handle over the phone or via email, allowing us to have a "paper trail" of all of our conversations. Randall has handled multiple incidents and we've also referred him to others that have used him as well. His handling fee is due up front and is very reasonable. He sends us copies of all communications he sends out, and then gets back to us with the plea deals and handles them in court without us ever having to even step foot in a court room. Randall is a name we remember by heart when referring him and while we hope to never need him again, should we need a traffic lawyer, Randall is our guy!

Matthew Simone was a life saver for me! He got my DWI and refusal to submit a breathalyzer down to an open container where I only paid a fine, completed an alcohol evaluation, and a short course for Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD). My arrest record, finger prints and mug shot were sealed and my license was not suspended for a year for refusing the breathalyzer. I also can travel freely back and forth to Canada where my girlfriend lives because of Matt. I was stopped at a checkpoint, only conducted one field sobriety test, did not conduct a breathalyzer test, and was respectful and cooperative with the police. If you were swerving in and out of lanes, stumble out of your car, blow over a .08, and are rude to the police there is only so much that can be done. However, Matt will still fight for you to get you what you want. Remember to set proper expectations and know that a majority of how your case is going to play out depends on your behavior that night. Matt’s communication was also great! If I had any questions or concerns about the legal process he would answer them swiftly and take the time to ensure I understood what was happening. His legal assistant Joselyn was also spectacular! She would get back to me in a timely manner as well and always sent me what I needed, even if I asked twice and forgot that I already had what I needed. 10/10 would recommend! Hopefully we won’t cross paths again, but if we do it feels good knowing Matt is on your legal team!

10 years ago i saw mr. mihuta in rensselaer county court and he was the only lawyer that argued with the judge for his client. other attorneys i witnessed agreeing with the da. Mr. Mituta wouldnt take anything less then the best for his client. i was impressed then and started to retain him. I have used lucas over the last 10 plus years for various criminal court proceedings, to surrogates and most recently my personal injury case which went to trial. During trial i was so impressed with his knowledge of medical that i asked him if he had a medical degree as well. he actually had the doctors re think what they were saying and his style had the jury do anything BUT fall asleep. even the judge said he was looking forward to lucas keeping him awake. he was so impressive with his closing arguments he had me crying and moved the jury to a favorable outcome. Hes friendly, impressively knowledgable, understanding and most of all not judgemental in anyway. lucas generally cares for his clients and will work hard to make sure he gets the bests results for you. stop looking for attorneys. i swear you hit jackpot with mr. mihuta, your in good hands and worth every penny.

Joe Gerstenzang was the best decision I could have made for myself regarding my legal trouble. He is forthright, accountable, proficient, communicative, and creative with his interpretation of the law.
I had a second DWI approximately one year after my first, and was looking down the barrel of some harsh and seemingly endless penalties. Joe made me feel extremely confident and well represented throughout the process and in the courtroom. And he was able to achieve the results I was hoping for.
My first impression was that Joe was realistic and honest with me. We went over my case, which had been delayed for 10+ months due to covid court closures. Joe was honest with me about how he thought my case looked, and we made decisions from there. The decisions we made felt collaborative and I always felt like my voice was heard, and my story was understood.
Proceeding from there, Joe was able to negotiate a deal that I found extremely generous.
One thing that really stood out to me:
Due to covid court closures where I live, I was not able to drive for a very long time, as my case had remained stagnant while my license revocation remained in place. By the time the courts opened back up, I was not set to get my license back for a long time. The court did not want to recognize this closure time as time served of any suspension. This is where Joe got creative.
I don't exactly know how he did it, but Joe was able to get creative with his interpretation of law. He got me on the road again. Had I hired a lesser lawyer, I may have been Uber-bound for another 6-12 months.
Joe was always in communication with me, always willing to talk on the phone. He took things seriously. This told me that he understood how serious these matters were for me. Even as my case seemed like it was set to wrap itself up, Joe was in contact about little small details that I would have not thought about.
I cannot recommend Mr. Gerstenzang enough.
I have known people who have hired lesser lawyers for DWIs in NY, most likely to save a bit of money, and I've heard horror stories. Whatever amount you save on a cheap lawyer, you will end up paying more in the long run, both with your wallet, time, and your peace of mind.

WHEN I FIRST ARRIVED BACK IN ALBANY NY IN JULY 2013 AFTER A TEN YR HIATUS MY LICENSE WAS CLEAN. I SECURED A GREAT JOB THAT REQUIRES ALOT OF TRAVEL. SOON AFTER, I WAS CAUGHT DOING 76MPH IN A WORK ZONE WHICH WAS POSTED AT 55MPH AND IN NYS THATS A BIG NO NO. THIS WOULD HAVE COST ME MY CAREER AS DRIVING IS A NECESSITY FOR A SERVICE TECHNICIAN. IMMEDIATELY I WAS FRANTIC. BIENG FAIRLY NEW HERE I HAD NO KNOWLEDGE OF THE LOCAL ATTORNEYS AND DIDN'T KNOW ANYONE TO GET A GOOD REFERRAL. LUCKILY I FOUND MR. KIRSCH ON AVVO. I TOLD HIM MY SITUATION AND IMMEDIATELY HE PUT MY MIND AT EASE. IT WAS CLEAR THAT ALL HIS YRS IN THE TRAFFIC COURTS HAD WON HIM SOME SIGNIFICANT BARGAINING POWER. I ASKED HIM TO WORK HIS MAGIC AGAIN, AND AGAIN HE CAME THROUGH SEAMLESSLY. PARKING TICKET WITH A $175 FINE. ALL IN ALL MR. KIRSCH COST ME AROUND $400 FOR HIS PRICELESS SERVICES, CLEARED MY LICENSE, AVOIDED ANY POINTS AT ALL AND KEPT ME INFORMED THROUGH THE WHOLE THING. April M. Dalbec Esq. recently handled a case for me after a major accident that left me off my feet for about 2 months with serious multiple fractures. I am a woman who has never had to seek the counsel of a lawyer in a distressed situation. I was in an incident which forced me to attain a lawyer. Because of a lack of experience in this type of situation, I felt scared and totally alone. Mr. Pennock is the best lawyer I've ever had, one you would want to have on your side no matter what type of case or legal affairs you want handled. He is very thorough, honest, and detail-oriented. Nothing misses his legal eye, and the wealth of accumulated legal knowledge and experience he has in various legal areas (especially in cases where they might overlap legal boundaries) is unbeatable. He is fair in everything, including and especially his reasonable fees, and he will tell you if you are being unreasonable in your demands or if you are crossing any legal lines in any of your cases and dealings that you entrust to him. He was my lawyer for a car accident and in real estate, and the thoroughness of the advice and work that he put into both were the same even though both didn't actually pay him the same amount of money. we have known john pennock for about 30 years . in 1981 he defended us in an auto accident which had a positive outcome. then, in 2006 when we had a horrible life changing accident, john pennock was with us every step of the way. that also resulted in a very positive outcome which was tried in federal court. john pennock is very experienced and knowledgeable and comes to trial well prepared to win.

I am always amazed at how he assimilates and thoroughly digests every detail of any importance. At deposition and trial, John handles every witness with great skill, persistently extracting from them good, solid, factual testimony. Jurors follow his every move in the courtroom, listening intently to his penetrating examination of witnesses, both friendly and hostile. His closing argument puts it all together for the jury in a highly effective, understandable and believable manner. He is very well regarded by the bar and the bench for his high degree of professionalism and skill. Always civil. My son has had Ms. Slack-Bean as his lawyer 2 times.Once when he committed his original crime and another for breaking probation. The District Attorney wanted to send him away for 7 to 15 years for the original crime of stealing 2 TV's and breaking probation and he didn't care that my son was Schizophrenic {hearing voices and seeing people}.She was thorough, kind, and professional.She did not treat him as just another case like so many court appointed lawyers do. She actually took the time to address his mental health issues, transferred clothing to him, and understood the bottom line. That my son was guilty but was not competent and on his medications {which were helping him very little}at the time he committed his crime and even addressed that problem before the judge. He was sentenced to 1 to 3 in a minimum security prison with jail time going towards his sentence and he is allowed to get out early on good behavior. I now have to contact her to find out why he has been placed in a maximum security prison when he hasn't done anything wrong while incarcerated. I know that if she is unaware of this that she will check into it and if she is aware of it then she will explain it to me in detail. My only problem is getting in touch with her because she is so busy and there is no longer a recording apparatus for me to leave a message.
