We, an animal welfare non profit, found ourselves dealing with a spiteful, dishonest, extremely difficult previous board member to the point of needing legal advise. Kyle knew we were dealing with money constraints, as we are 100% volunteer and donation and our supporters work hard for their money and we appreciate every penny. We also did NOT want our issues to have to go as far as needing legal advice, much less legal actions, but that was out of our hands, unfortunately, when someone decided she owned a non profit and didn't have to answer to anyone for her improprieties. We reluctantly voted to consult an attorney and Kyle's was the first we were introduced to.
We didn't ask, nor receive, pro bono work, but we did have to put a cap and he worked smartly and thoroughly to keep us within those limitations. He listened, understood and was always very easy to deal with and talk to. We felt at ease and confident in him from the first meeting and that hasn't changed.
We did have to take actual legal action, it didn't end at a consult, and that led to a hearing. The outcome of that meeting worked in our favor, thanks to his commitment and persuasion. Even though we were a VERY small case for him, in terms of monetary conclusion, he never treated us any less than with the right mix of respect to feel important and friendliness to feel at ease.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him and appreciate all he's done, is doing, and will do for our small, but feisty group!

I was referred to Mr. Korkus's firm by my insurance agent for help on a traffic matter, a serious matter that could have had a lasting impact. After meeting with me and listening to my situation, he agreed to take on my case and I am so thankful that he did! He confidently walked me through the legal process and patiently answered my many, many questions. PLEASE READ
Stephanie Wong is HANDS DOWN the BEST attorney in the McLean county area. I have(unfortunately for me cause it means I’ve been arrested multiple times due to a drinking habit that kept getting me in trouble) hired her 4 separate times in the past to represent me in court. Thankfully she has gotten me the absolute best possible outcome in every single one of those scenarios. NONE of those charges will be on my record as I will be able to have them all expunged, as long as I don’t get arrested again, once I’ve completed my full court supervision. Even the situations where I was very clearly guilty because I had been caught on camera committing the crime I was being charged with. Most recently I was arrested for a DUI (my first) and with this I also got tickets for speeding 20-25 over, driving on an expired vehicle registration, and driving with no valid insurance coverage. I was smart and kept my mouth shut (for the most part except for telling the officer that I had a couple of drinks earlier in the day many hours before he had pulled me over because he said he could smell alcohol on my breath and also informing him on what my destination was and that the reason I was speeding was because the car behind me wasn’t paying attention and had cut me off almost causing an accident and I was trying to put space between them and myself, however after this experience the only thing I’ll ever say to a cop again for the rest of my life is “I don’t answer questions”) including when I was told to take a breathalyzer test after getting to the station. I simply told them that if they weren’t going to let me try to contact my attorney then I wouldn’t be consenting to any testing that they wanted to do. When I went to talk to Stephanie about it she informed me that this could potentially be considered a felony DUI even though it was my very first one due to the fact that I was driving with no insurance; and that if the prosecution wanted to they could charge it as that. She was able to tell me exactly what I needed to do to get the insurance and registration charge dropped from the case, which I made sure to take care of as soon as I was able to afford to update both. And in the end she was able to get the DUI COMPLETELY DISMISSED as well; and she was also able to get the suspension on my drivers license rescinded even though I had refused to take the breath test and Illinois is an implied consent state. In the end the entire case got dropped down to nothing but a petty speeding ticket that will remain off my record as long as I don’t get pulled over again for 6 months, and the court fees/ticket only cost me 230 dollars. Overall her time and effort cost me 3000 dollars, but it was well worth every single penny when you take into consideration that if the DUI hadn’t been dismissed out of court it would’ve ended up costing me about another 5000-7000 dollars. She is hands down the best attorney in the area and I will never hire anyone else to take care of my legal needs, although as good as she is I genuinely hope I don’t ever have to walk into her office again lmao. I’ve heard that she has her own nickname down at the law and justice center, apparently they call her “The Pitbull”, and after seeing incredible results from her time and time again, it’s absolutely no mystery as to why they do. After a bad experience with a previous probate lawyer, we looked at google reviews of many lawyers. Mr. Porter caught our eye since he had a good review from a judge.
It was even more difficult since my sister had just died which precipitated me taking over my mother's estate as well as executing my sister's.
After speaking to him and two other probate lawyers, we chose Mr. Porter.
It was a great decision. Mr. Porter is very efficient, very clear on time lines and explains things very clearly when asked. He made great use of email and billed for these emails extremely fairly. He was very supportive during this very difficult time. He prioritized necessary actions, e.g., placing the notice to creditors as soon as he could.
His assistant, Deanne, is also awesome. She would return emails and phone calls very quickly. She would also answer any questions she could. If she couldn't answer them, she'd get the answers and respond in a timely manner. She was also very kind and supportive during this awful time.
From what I can tell, Mr. Porter got the estates running and closed within the minimum time possible.
If you are in the unfortunate position of needing a probate lawyer, Mr. Porter should be at the top of your list.

I was referred to Mr. Malin by a VERY reputable criminal defense attorney in both McLean and Livingston Co (Illinois) whom recently retired. He assured me that Mr.Malin would be excellent council to represent me. He stated that “I would need someone who was going to be a good attorney on both ends.” Referring to McLean and Livingston Co. I was very nervous about the charges I am facing in both counties. Hours and hours of google research and YouTube videos on characteristics of a good criminal defense attorney, I was very relieved to know that I saw all them qualities in Mr. Malin. I’m very appreciative of the time and effort he has put forth in explaining everything to not only me but taking time to speak with my husband and explain to him as well. I appreciated that. I had Michael Malin assist me with my DUI. When I first started the process with Michael he was personable and appeared to be eager to assist with my case. We showed up in Springfield at one of the appointments and Michael did not come prepared with my documents. The date was postponed after the date my permit expired. The final court date he was not prepared either. I was going through his notes so I asked if I could talk to start the appointment. He did not tell me how to extend my permit and so therefore I went another 6 months without being able to drive while my father was dying of cancer. I retained Johnson Law Group this year to assist me with getting my license back. They were very professional, prepared, took the time to do "Mock Trials" with me, and told me how to extend my permit so that I would not loosing my driving ability. Brendan at Johnson showed up to court prepared and organized. I wish I would have decided to go with Johnson Law Group in the beginning. I would have had my license back 2 years ago!

Chris is a very good traffic attorney who helped me avoid an impending driving license suspension in 35 days due to 3 moving violations in one year.
He was able to reinstate supervision on one of my tickets ( court had revoked supervision because I couldn't attend an in-person traffic school during the covid-19 pandemic shutdowns).
He asked me to take an online traffic school course ( something the county had refused to accept when I contacted them), filed a motion with the court to reinstate supervision and despite a delay in court communication with the circuit clerk's court's office, the process completed just in time to prevent my DL suspension.
I highly recommend Chris if you need a traffic Lawyer in Mclean County

Easy Zero Stars!!! Hello world, I’m professional truck driver of almost 10yrs. I spoke about my case with a Mr. John Daniel and I was very shocked and displeased with his response. Now my case is very simple and easy, I know I can do it myself but I don’t live in McLean County never have, I’ve lived in St. Clair County my whole life. But basically what I needed for Wright Law Office in Bloomington, IL to do is file a petition on my behalf to get my MVR cleaned. I have just one traffic violation on my Motor Vehicle Report from 4yrs. ago. that’s really causing me a hard time regaining employment in my field of Transportation. I told John me not being able to regain employment has caused me so much trouble financially to the point where I could lose my home and not have anywhere to live or stay no more. So again, I proceeded to tell him “All I need from them was to file the petition, and because I’m unemployed, fill out the waiver fee for the petition so it would be free, and get a court date in front of a judge and ask the judge to please remove the speeding ticket from my record” This man RESPONSE was to file a petition doesn’t cost that much, it only cost about $40. But if you want our Law firm to do what you’re asking it’ll be about $1000. I said a Thousand Dollars??? Yeah that man Shiesty asl and petty af too because I just told him I wasn’t even employed. So PLEASE PLZ STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!

When I first contacted Ogar and Miller it was with the intent of hiring Helen Ogar. I had done my research and found several people that praised Helen Ogar as a “bulldog” saying she did a great job of fighting for her clients. However, Helen was not accepting new clients, so I was referred by her paralegal to her partner Todd instead. I mistakenly assumed Todd would be just like his partner. Instead, Todd seems bored by what he does, he lacks passion, has little to no fight in him, and if lawyers had such a thing as “bedside manner” Todd’s bedside manner would be nonexistent. He has little patience or tolerance for the emotional side of a divorce and does nothing to make things easier on his clients. His paralegal Nichole is really no better in that regard. I also found myself having to follow up multiple times to make sure things were getting done in a timely manner. Mistakes were made by them that could have and frankly should have been avoided. Ultimately after 6 months, and right before we were supposed to go to trial I finally became so frustrated by the service (or lack thereof) that I was being given I decided to voice my frustrations in an email. I felt I wasn’t being heard, they weren’t doing their due diligence, and I was fed up. I made it clear I would be writing a review of my experience with their law firm and it would be honest. I did not use derogatory language, I simply voiced my concerns to them. They did not take my negative feedback well and Todd decided to withdraw as my lawyer. That’s right, in the 11th hour they quit my case because their feelings were hurt. In 6 months I spent over $20,000 in legal fees to this firm, only to get nowhere with my case. I will not be recommending this firm to anyone.

Do you really trust an attorney, who can't be bothered to return calls, to properly file your court docs? I was referred to this office by the IL Bar Association. I've spoken to the receptionist 6 times and each time "I'll have someone get back to you " with no call back. If an attorney is too busy to return calls, do you really trust them to be there for you in court?
