Working with Joe Simons was the best decision I made for my Federal case in California. A process that took over 3 years from start to finish Joe walked me through each process. Constantly working with the prosecutor to get me a better deal all the way down to Probation. Joe is up front and honest with you from the beginning on what to expect and that made each moment easier to handle. Even flying out to California multiple times I knew I was in good hands. I found Michelle online (my parents did) a day after I got a clerk hearing letter that was accusing me with three charges, and I was very overwhelmed with the situation because I had a lot to lose starting with my dream job, but still she was very professional, caring, and efficient. She explained everything to me and she did everything for me since day one without even getting paid first. She helped move my clerk hearing date closer which it was what I wanted because I needed to get this out of my head, and she also was able to get the police report of the incident to understand more what it was said, and she did that without even seeing me first, I REALLY appreciate all her work because not every lawyer will be there for you because I had another lawyer, and I could see the difference clearly. I was worried, and she was very patient and quick to respond any questions I had, even after the case was done, I was still emailing her and she was still there. She said she would fight my case even if it went to trial, and and I felt the need to have her in my case, and I was so glad she was able to represent me. I would definitely hire her any time I need a defense lawyer, she is exceptional! Thank you for your hard work in such a last minute hearing because I contacted her on Wednesday I believe, and Tuesday was the hearing which it was not even a week later. I am so thankful to you because I felt confident with you representing me no matter the outcome. Gladly it was a great outcome specially because it was a very hard case. Do yourself a favor and work with Rachel. I recently obtained US citizenship, and Rachel has been so helpful all along the way. Besides being a delight to work with, she is brilliant and highly knowledgeable about immigration laws and system. I was impressed to see my citizenship application filed in only two days after sending all the information and files needed for the application. One of the other benefits of working with Rachel is her expertise across different domains besides immigration law, which is very useful in making sure your application is prepared properly and that you receive the best counsel.
Another impressive part was how well she prepared me for the citizenship interview. She was extremely detailed with her guidance, and everything she said would be covered was covered exactly in the order she said it would be covered. Of course, you’ll still need to do your part and prepare your documents right for her to submit in your application, study for the Civics test, etc., but working with Rachel gives true peace of mind and top-notch counsel.
I was lucky that on the day of my interview, I was able to get sworn in as a citizen in the same building. Rachel walked with me to the swearing-in ceremony and even took a picture with the US flag as I became a citizen. A memory to last a lifetime. I highly recommend Rachel.

Rachel represented us in a criminal case that extended over 5 1/2 years. During this time the prosecution was disinterested in examining the facts or dropping the case that was rife with dubious and conflicting testimony.
Rachel took the time to peel the layers back exposing the predisposed rush to judgement. Her skill as a lawyer and empathy as a person allowed us to dismantle the web of accusations and expose them as false.
