Mr fiallo really went above and beyond to prove that the information I was providing was credible. I have been experiencing a tumultuous custody battle as a step parent for the last couple years Mr fiala was a ble to go above and beyond and help me prove my case. Our children our future generation and I think it's imperative to make sure that they are properly taken care of no matter what the emotional history is from the parent. I can not say enough about this firms professionalism and performance. Like many, I was caught in one of the infamous North Carolina speed traps on a Holiday weekend. To my surprise, I was inundated with mailings from local Cumberland County attorney's wishing to represent me. Unwilling to accept solicitations, I went on line and extensively researched Cumberland County area lawyers and selected Matthew Plyler based on his outstanding reviews, years serving in Cumberland County, and UNC law education (trust me, this matters)....all of which go a long way to securing intimate knowledge of the local legal system and its players. The result was a complete dismissal which was more than I could have hoped for. My advice to anyone else who requires an attorney in North Carolina, ignore the marketing letters and call Plyler Law Firm with your first call.

Attorney Gerald is the perfect attorney for making sure your case is handled with care and precision.
He likes to have his information and evidence gathered thoroughly in order to obtain maximum efficiency.
He is a problem solver while also keeping a cool and level head. Very keen on details. He took the time to reassure me, as a client, that the situation would be subdued in the smoothest way possible. I had never been in any legal trouble in my life.
I was charged incorrectly with AWDW and in our first meeting he was able to quickly extract that my case was actually self defense and defense of others. Attorney Gerald made sure that the evidence of my case was heard clearly by the ADA and that the full picture was understood. Without the proper context the situation could have went to extreme levels that could have had permanent effects on my life and record overall.
Greatfully, my charges were dismissed in a controlled and timely manner . He did a fantastic job, especially during the confusion of a pandemic and I couldn't thank him enough for protecting my innocence in the way he did. I will never forget what was done for me.

Mr. Byrd is an excellent attorney. I was seeking legal counsel regarding having a felony conviction expunged off my record. I called several attorneys in the Cumberland County area, and Mr. Byrd was the only attorney who knew the North Carolina expungement laws had changed, what the new statue stated. He went above and beyond to assist me. Mr. Byrd took his time to explain the expungement process, he prepared the proper documentation, obtained the right forms, and did everything correct the first time. I really appreciate his level of professionalism, and attention to detail. Also, Mr. Byrd has great communication skills, and will always follow up with you to answer any additional questions you may have. Mr. Byrd has a great team working with him, and his office staff did a phenomenal job providing updates regarding the case. I must be honest, when I first pursued having my record expunged, I got discouraged. Every attorney I called stated they couldn’t help me. But I didn’t quit. I kept calling and speaking to different attorneys. Mr. Byrd was the last attorney I called, and he was the only one who knew the expungement statue had changed. He immediately helped me, set the right expectations, which resulted in having a felony conviction expunged off my record- forever. I had a few issues with payment towards the beginning of my charges but Mr. Byrd was extremely patient and understanding! On November 30th, 2016, I was rear-ended by another vehicle, and that resulted in injuries to my back and neck. I had the pleasure of working with Mr. Mark Hearp and he is an angel!!! I couldn't sleep eat or rest at all the week before my court hearing, I stayed up all night, every night researching things about my case and pretty much freaking myself out more. On February 16, 2018 around 7PM I hear a knock at the door. I answered the door and to my surprise, I see two Police Officers which are government officers. Once my ID was established, I was presented with a warrant for my arrest. Accused of (I'M-ASSAULT GOVT OFFICIAL/EMPLY) and this started thinking, How, Who, When and Where. Once all paperwork completed by the police officer at the (CCDC) Cumberland County Detention Center I was released with from the CCDC with a court date on March 08, 2018. I was not sure what I was going to do, represent myself or talk with an attorney. I gathered up all my paperwork, video from home security system and compiled what I thought was good to represent myself in court. The more I thought about it I researched all of Cumberland County for the best rated legal professional Law Firm and Lawyers. When I read all the great reviews about BEAVER/COURIE Law Firm I had a review with Mark L. Hearp on March 05, 2018 then requested he represent me as my attorney. Mark requested a little more information which I provided and informed me of the process he was going to use and the objective was to have the case dismissed. Mark entered the courtroom around 8:30am waved across the courtroom to let me know he was there for me and his strategy. Mark met with quite a few people on his legal team and interviewed the Police Officers I was accused of assaulting, gathered more information, then spoke with the district attorney presenting all the information and evidence he had gathered, learned from his interviews then he returned into the courtroom approximately 11am to inform me this case was dismissed an I was free to go. As I departed from the courtroom I express my gratitude and appreciation for his legal experience and was very proud of Mark Hearp. After a 26 year long stellar career as. Green Beret, I was facing 7 felony charges from my ex wife. These charges were all false allegations provided by my ex wife to my chain of command. The Army never once had my back. The Army labeled me a criminal from the first time my ex wife made these allegations. I went through a 3-1/2 year long process that was harder than any military deployment. From the first time we talked to Rob, there was just something about him that was different. James is one stop shopping. Reasonably priced, stop by his office and make the payment with credit card or cash and he handles everything else with the courthouse. No appearances, returns for payments, etc. He handles it all. That's true legal representation. He has handled many moving and non-moving violations for me and for my friends and family. My daughter got a speeding ticket that should have been considered as reckless driving (>30 mph). What should have been 6 to 8 points on the insurance with a 130%-180% increase in insurance got reduced to 1 point. He even gave her a huge break on price despite my suggestion to charge what most other lawyers would charge for this type of violation as a life lesson. He literally saved me $1000s per year on insurance costs. Worth every dime. 15 more to go.

Bruce Armstrong is hands down the BEST lawyer/legal professional I have ever dealt with. He takes a personal vested interest in every case he deals with and established a great client relationship immediately. He was able to break everything down for me very plain and simple and promised me he would work as hard as he could to minimize the charges I faced. I faced some pretty heavy charges, so I never thought he would be able to get them all dropped, but sure enough, he did just that. He was in frequent communication with me before the trial and asked me for information to show my character. He knew exactly what he was doing and was with me every step of the way. He always made time to talk to me on the phone and answer my questions. I would recommend to ANYONE to seek him out if you are in need of legal assistance. He is by far the most competent, hard-working, and skillful lawyer in North Carolina. Here is a summary of what I went through for those of you who wish to continue reading:
I was traveling through Fayetteville, NC for work and received an outstanding traffic ticket, coupled with aggressive/reckless driving and driving to endangerment. I was faced with loosing my license and was so terrified and stressed out I did not know what to do. I called around to a few different lawyers that had the best online reviews, and each one of them was going to charge me over $800 for a starting fee and the receptionist wouldn't even let me speak to the actual layer himself. Additionally, they basically told me those types of charges are near impossible to have dropped and so I was most likely going to have to pay hundreds of dollars more for various fines. A friend recommended Bruce Armstrong to me, and so I called his office and immediately noticed a difference. Right off the bat, his receptionist was super friendly and understanding; She listened to my entire story and took down as much detail as possible. Then, she told me that Mr. Armstrong would call me right back, and sure enough, less than 2 hours later I received a call back from Mr. Armstrong himself. He spent time getting to know me, my background, where I came from, what happened, why it happened, and then walked me through a sort of game plan he was thinking of. He did not blow any smoke and was completely transparent and honest the entire time. His fee was over 50% less than other lawyers in the area, yet the service he provided was 100 times greater.
