I was arrested in Williamson County for dwi. After talking to multiple lawyers in the Wilco area I chose to go with Liz Wiggins and Michael Price. I thank my lucky stars I did. They are both great people and the best lawyers in Wilco. From the initial meeting Liz went over all the possibilities of my case and made me aware of the possible outcomes and options. The constant communication kept me and my mind at ease throughout the entire process. It was evident to me from my only one time in court, that Liz’s prior work experience working for the Williamson County Attorney’s office paid dividends when representing me in court. She is familiar with their people and knows how to get the best results for her clients. She argued my case, fought for me and got my dwi charged dismissed. The best possible outcome.
She also handled the driver license side of my case and did a fantastic job keeping me on the road.

Eric properly counseled me on actions to take before a court case with very little time leeway, in order to build a library of documents to present a defense. Eric was a straight-shooter who never over-promised or made light of the situation, yet my case was resolved very favorably in the end despite looking grim at the beginning. Eric worked diligently to help me and my family and was always available quickly to answer questions or discuss our approach to my case. He was always punctual for meetings and court dates. I mention that because while sitting in court I saw several instances where attorneys not show up when their client had a court date, forcing the defendant to schedule a reset and come back to court yet again. Eric carefully assembled several key pieces to my defense and presented them to the state in a tactful but convincing way. End result was a dismissal! I can't express enough how much this man changed my situation around. I went from being led to believe by a court appointed attorney that I I was facing 9 months in jail for a probation violation and that there was absolutely nothing she, I or anyone could do about it for that matter to needing to take a few court mandated classes in order to avoid jail time. At first I was skeptical to hire someone I found on craigslist but my I needed someone who could work with me on payments as I'm self employed and since covid month after month I'm still barely able to cover rent on my shop. But being he was a former prosecuter something told me this guy knew how maneuver through the system in a way that could benefit me. This man went above and beyond even when I wasnt as responsive as I should have been. He got me very doable deadlines for the courts orders and I simply can't thank the man enough. I can't wait for business to pick back up so I can thank him with what he really deserves and is owed overdue and that's with the payment he earned and then some. Before he jumped on the case I really was in a state of mind that my whole life as I knew was about to change for the negative and had practically shut down mentally on lost my drive to strive to succeed in anything as I was given the false Impression by a crappy court appointed attorney who simply didnt want to spend any more time on my case because she doesn't care about her clients and probably felt the court doesn't pay her enough to care. Once on my case I was able to continue life without feeling that sick feeling in my stomach thag came knowing it was only a matter of time before cops either picked me up or pulled me over for something and took me to jail. Pack your patience. This fine gentleman has a way of getting things done, they take awhile... but the way he drags things out with the prosecutors keeps the leverage on your side. There were times I lost my patience with him, but in the end I was able to see that his strategy is purposeful and effective!

My husband and I made an appointment for Les to review a will we constructed from an online form we googled. We thought all our bases were covered but weren't completely confident. Les didn't fault us for constructing a homemade will and asked the right questions to help us understand the constructs of a will verses a trust, the pros and cons of each and recent Texas family law changes. This information provided a much bigger picture. With his guidance we were able to make informed decisions in how to appropriate last wishes and amend our will. I chose Morales and Sparks based on their track record with cases like mine, Avvo ratings, reviews, etc. The one negative review I read said that Mr. Morales “ passes cases on to his young lawyers” and doesn't care, in so many words which is untrue as they work as a team. However, when I met w MIESHA DUNN AUBREY I did notice that she was young and I admittedly was skeptical. I couldn’t have been more wrong! She was kind, understanding, and made me feel confident at the lowest point in my life as I’m going through a divorce in addition to the charges I was facing. She was completely attentive to my every text, call, concern or inguiry. She had an uncanny ability to make me feel like I was her only client!
The prosecutor kept offering pleas to which I would not accept and the odds where highly against me. Especially in Williamson county. She fought for me relentlessly untill all charges were dismissed without me even stepping foot in court. I can’t say enough about this woman as I feel she has saved my life.

We hired Jo to intervene into my niece's CPS case where we had been the kinship foster parents for almost a year and half. Who doesn't charge you more when they can??? (read below)
I interviewed many lawyers to help with a false accusation against my family. However, Steve was the only one that I felt "cared" on the phone. He dropped what he was doing to meet us at the police station the next day. When he got there, he walked us through what to expect and the Lieutenant remembered Steve for when he was "on the other side".
Steve's knowledge of how the police work was instrumental in warning us what to do/not do. As a result, things went very smoothly. (He is a combination of a gentle demeanor and also a serious bulldog depending upon the hat he needs to wear.) He even assisted my wife when she was questioned even though he was officially representing me and not her. She later joked that she didn't want his help in the first place and then wished Steve was "her" lawyer!
After the police meeting, I offered to pay more to retain him all the way through the potential process. He advised me to wait as he didn't want to take my money when we didn't even know if there would be next steps (or what they would be).
Fast forward to our names being cleared and we didn't have to have any next steps. YAY!!! Steve followed up with us and we didn't have to pay any additional money.
Although I hope I NEVER have to use him again, I would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone who needs help. If I ever do need help in the future, he'll be my first call.

I met with Mr Ranney in his office and gave full details of my incident and when the court date came ( pre trial payment charged) he was surprised and unprepared by the the judges actions. He had just advised me ( moments before my appearing in front of the judge) that he knew how this judge operated and his expectations were way off. I would not advise anyone to even hire Mr Ranney for pre trial counsel. Consider representing yourself before signing any agreement with Douglas Ranney.

I was charged with a DWI (I refused giving arresting officers breath test and was not asked for blood work for BAC). Mr. Ranney got me into the PTI (Pre-Trial Intervention Program) which once completed the charge is dismissed. The PTI program is a guilty charge if you do not complete program without violation. You will have a breathalyzer in your care for 6 months, 40 hours community service, MADD class, complete a class/work book (approximately 4 weeks). Take random UAs.. I was only required to take one. I violated my breathalyzer in my car several (3-4 times) a little over a week before I completed the 6 months. Mr. Ranney was able to still get the DWI dismissed since I was so close to completing the program.
I would absolutely recommend him to others. Also, his office staff is always very helpful!

Attorney referred to me by the Texas Bar. Never got to meet him in person or have a fist consultation or have a representation agreement.. He recommended by email that he drafts a letter of demand that would cost me $150 to start the case. Paid him, and got by email a rough draft of a letter of demand that was insufficient in its content. I suggested some standard changes to the letter. He exploded with abusive language, requesting many more hundreds of dollars to make the changes. I gave the letter up after I had paid $150 for it. I gave it another try, and proposed that we meet in his office for a first consultation that would have cost $20 per the Texas Bar referral agreement. He requested $150 plus more money if the meeting would last longer. I reminded him that the cost initially agreed upon for the first consultation would only be $20. He rudely emailed back that "we are well past that" and he rudely stated that he is not interested in the case. I intend to send all this email traffic to the Texas Bar.
He might behave differently with other clients, however, in my experience as a prospective client who speaks English with an accent, he was abusive and rude and he wasted my time and money. I will stay away from this attorney.
