My husband and I went to 4 attorney's outside of Grant Co. and no one seemed to understand what we were going through.. I desperately posted on a FB group about needing an attorney experienced in the type of child custody issue such as ours and it so happened his staff commented with information, I called and set an appt., 1st thing Todd doesn't bullshit he tells you if he can take your case or not, he tells you what you need to move forward without rushing you out the door... my husband and I were trying to obtain custody of his then 5 year old son due to allegations brought to us of abuse and neglect, Todd and his staff explained to us we needed the solid evidence not just he said she said... it took me almost 1 year to obtain everything needed and during that time we had to of visited the office 4-5 times for consults Todd never charged us for. He always gave us advice and we moved forward with that until we were able to gather everything we needed, once the case was on its way to the courts Todd Glickfield and his office worked with us on payments for his service never forcing an astronomical amount on us! Every step of the way he was with us in a professional and supportive manner. February of 2017 thanks to the guidance and advice from Todd Glickfield as well as support from his staff my husband was able to drive to go pick up his son whom he hadn't seen since 2014, March of 2017 thanks to hard work of attorney Todd Glickfield we were granted full custody with no restrictions... sometimes I think people are more offended that they are spoken to in a matter of fact instead of being bowed down too, I am very grateful for the no bs, no sale, not being treated like just another buck from Todd's office! if it wasn't for his amazing work and advice we wouldn't have our son, I recommend his expertise 110% but just keep in mind... don't go in there expecting a butt kissing because you think you have a case haha lol sit and listen! its worth it in the end!

So happy to be able to check "get new wills" off the "to do" list. My husband and I had wills drawn up about 30 years ago when the kids we young (and we were too!). I've known Mr. Schwemmer since 2008. I've always regarded him as a very knowledgeable, and kind person. I was always welcome to ask him questions.
In late December, I was leaving my job. The day I told my boss when my last day was, my boss told me that I had to pay a fine, and lawyer bill from an incident that I had caused. I panicked. I did not make enough to be able to pay such money, and I didn't have anything saved up. After communicating with my family, I was told I should make sure I was legally obligated to do so, just in case.
I turned to Mr. Schwemmer for advice. I didn't know who else to turn to. I'm glad I talked to him. He was very attentive to my situation, and asked a lot of questions. He knew to get all the facts first. He was quick, and informative. He helped me even when it wasn't in his area of expertise. He made sure to cross-reference his information, and he gave me quotes of the information for my own use.
What impressed me most was that he helped me even though he knew we would not gain anything from it, other than my deepest thanks.

After I suffered a significant change in my income I went and met with Attorney Schmidgall regarding filing for bankruptcy. I was nervous at the thought of having to file for bankruptcy but after speaking with him I felt relief. He explained that I would be able to get a fresh start. Chris Schmidgall handled my expungement and sealing cases in Indiana relating to charges that were either dropped or dismissed by the Court. While several other attorneys would not even call me back, Chris immediately stepped in and took initiative to help me and my family out. Specifically, he thoroughly investigated all the legal elements of my case and frequently consulted with his legal assistants on the matter to prepare the best motions and petitions possible. To say it simply, his legal motions are excellent and he strongly argues the law. In addition, he sends copies of everything to the client for his/her review and incorporates that feedback into his legal framework. Aside from the legal arena, he has a very friendly demeanor and is always asking what he can do to help. John was incredibly easy to work with. He was able to explain the matter of my case in great detail while noting all possible options and outcomes, including a reduction of my conviction from a Level 6 Felony to a Class A Misdemeanor. What John Barrett did for me is barely something I can describe in a small review box to be frank. I went to him in somewhat of a frantic and panic state and needed help and thats exactly what he did. We filed for modification of custody for my daughter in a case that legally seemed impossible but for my daughter and I was the most important thing in the world and Mr. Barrett realized and never gave up on us. He helped me every step of the way and took my seemingly endless phone calls and questions and at the end of the road, we won. I retained the services of Mr. Pagano several years ago when he was practicing as a criminal defense attorney. I was charged with misdemeanor battery and sexual abuse. Although these were very frightening charges, Mr. Pagano always discussed the case with me in person and carefully went through how the law applied to my particular case. He firmly believed in my innocence and never waivered in his approach to fighting for me at all court hearings. He demonstrated superior knowledge of the law in all his court presentations and motions. Unfortunately, he had to discontinue representing me before my cases concluded because he was appointed as a judge/magistrate for the County Division Courts in Lake County. Based on all my experiences with Attorney Pagano during that two-year period on my case, I would strongly recommend him in the area of criminal law and for any judicial position in the criminal courts. If more people like him were judges, there would be far fewer miscarriages of justice and innocent people would not be wrongly convicted. Mike honestly does the right thing and holds the State to their burden of proof without reservations.

When I first met Mr. John Maksimovich I knew instantly that he was all business; as you'd like your lawyer to be, nothing but the FACTS. His patience and understanding during the handling of our families very serious case was gracious and respectful always; he listened intently, asked appropriate questions, took notes accordingly and didn't rush anyone or anything. His genuine comprehension of the LAW is impeccable.
Mr. M was the 2nd lawyer designated to this 'accused' murder case; I thank God every day for the "mishaps" that led to that decision. Without Johns' dedication to his work and this case, (which I'll call a complete farce of wrongful imprisonment), my fiance' would not have seen the light of day; for possibly the rest of his life. When it comes to consulting and/or hiring a lawyer you should be skeptical; just knowing your in need of a lawyer could sometimes make a person feel helpless. Sometimes situations occur in your life that you have no control over, next thing you know your shopping for the best lawyer you can possibly find. And there are a lot of them. It's ultimately up to you to choose someone that you think will benefit you in your situation. Someone that you can trust. Someone you can trust your life with in some cases. Fortunately for me I met John; I got to know him, he got to know me and most importantly I learned to trust him. Communication between a client and a lawyer is key in my eyes. John is a straight forward lawyer and very, very dedicated to his client (some face to face prep meetings going until 10pm; well knowing that we had an early court appearance the next morning). Definitely a lawyer you want on your side! I trusted him with my life. That being said, I will forever owe Mr. John Maksimovich; for he helped me during a part of my life that I will never forget. Don't be fooled, he is a very intelligent man. I Thank You For Everythng You've Done To Help Me John.

Having never gone through the court system before, I was extremely overwhelmed when I initiated two protective orders. After careful consideration, I decided to hire an attorney. I found the process of finding a lawyer to be extremely stressful, as I wouldn't get calls back or would talk to an assistant, never with an actual attorney. As soon as I connected with Dina, she put me at immediate ease. My first impressions of her were that she is very confident, knowledgeable, experienced, and detail oriented. She demonstrated high integrity and humility by not agreeing to accept my cases until she was confident she could help. She always was exceptionally open and transparent with me throughout the entire process. She spoke in terms that I understood, which was very much appreciated. I contacted Ms. Lozano because she had represented my son as a public defender. Being from out of state, I did not know who to turn to, but I knew that years ago, she treated my son with respect and gave him the representation that he needed. I needed Ms Lozano to go to court and have a charge dismissed, to have a charge recalled from a national data base, talk to the prosecutor and work with DOC from another state.

Luke Krizek was my lawyer for a child support case. I was paying for Daycare all on my own, therefore the child support amount needed to be highered. Mr. Krizek advised me well, and with his help and support, I got what I wanted. Mr. Krizek has amazing analytical skills, and he is very creative when unique situations arose. He was very responsive.
