Ben Moore did an excellent job helping my dad after his auto accident. All of the phone calls from the insurance companies, the medical bills that starting coming in. The doctors and PT apointments. He was just trying to get better and it all became overwhelming for him. Ben took over the whole thing and dad didn't have to worry about it again. The case finally settled last week. My Dad wasn't looking to make money - he just wanted everything to be covered. He walked away with extra! So thankful for Ben. Shannon and her team are amazing!! I have used her twice for two different issues. First, when my son was hit by a car, suffered multiple injuries and had to send a week in the ICU. We were very lucky he was alive. Shannon drove over 2 hours to meet us at the hospital and help start the process for a personal injury claim. Shannon and her team fought tooth and nail to get what my son deserved- she would not settle for the small amounts being offered by the insurance company. My son ended up with a great amount to set him up for a bright future and pay off the medical bills.
Second, one of my children had gotten into trouble which turned into a huge legal fight. I remembered Shannon’s expertise with juvenile defense and called her right away. She was able to help with this charge and maintain my child’s options for his future.
I wouldn't put my trust in anyone else but her team!! They were professional, caring, and very communicative.

Robert was awesome to work with. My case took years to resolve and i never felt out of the loop. I could always get ahold of him through text, calls, or emails. He took what we needed into account and always made sure we were able to get the treatment we needed for our injuries. In the long run we were able to settle right as the trial started and we are happy to have our future treatment and more secure. Such a weight is off our shoulders and we have Robert and everyone else at his firm that helped to thank for it. No one really wants to go through any family/custody battles. So when I was faced with this issues I had no choice but to retain an attorney. After numerous hours/days of research I found the Dorsey Law Firm.
I came to Mr. Dorsey with a lot of uncertainty with my impending custody case. During my consultation Mr. Dorsey was fully tuned in and very attentive. He answered every question I had very confidently. After I retained Mr. Dorsey, his team and himself started working on the case promptly. They filed an emergency motion and was able to get a hearing for temporary custody within a few weeks. I was granted temporary custody until the outcome of the final hearing.
In Preparation for the final hearing Mr. Dorsey and the team were with me every step of the way. They reassured me of the potential outcome, instilled confidence in myself and the direction of the case. During the final hearing Mr. Dorsey was very thorough, firm, and fully prepared. His cross examination skills, rebuttals, presentation, and delivery was superb.

I was arrested in March for DUI on a bicycle, Battery against a Law Enforcement Officer x 2, Resisting arrest with violence, Disorderly Intoxication, and some other charges added on to that. I was abusing alcohol to cope with personal issues and landed myself in serious trouble. I was pulled over initially for not having a bike light and acted like an animal with the police. I hired a Criminal Defense Lawyer in Jacksonville and was instructed to complete 50 hours of community service, court approved counseling, get character reference letters, go to DUI school, take the Victim Impact Panel with MADD, and write an apology letter. I was also released on ROR with a SCRAM ankle monitor for measuring alcohol, which I paid for weekly. Communication was limited with my initial attorney and I attributed it a lot to COVID-19, he wasn't working at his office etc. But the communication never picked up. Months passed, and everytime I would talk with his assistant she would just assure me that he is just "waiting on the prosecutor to get back to him" or "waiting on the Discovery". In November, almost 8 months after my arrest, I had a virtual court appearance with my then attorney. The judge was so perplexed as to why this was taking so long. My attorney at the time appeared disorganized and said he had just received my Discovery. After the virtual meeting he called me and said the state had offered me a deal of pleading guilty to DUI and everything else would be dropped. I said "How can you offer me this when you have not even reviewed my Discovery and said that there was still video evidence to be ordered that you have not even seen!" I hung up the phone and started to cry. I was angry and told my family that I am firing my lawyer and hiring a new one. This time, I did my research. I found Tori and felt pretty confident in giving her a call. This was the best decision I could have made. Immediately she answered the phone herself and consulted with me right then and there. She agreed to take on my case that day and the next day we met in person to go over everything (safely, masks worn of course). In 5 weeks she did what my lawyer couldn't have and never even would have accomplished in 8 months. She negotiated with the state and defended me and showed them the efforts that I have been making to better my life and abstain from alcohol. Last Thursday I had my case and I was charged with Disorderly Intoxication and Resisting Arrest. 6 months probation and 2 AA classes a week. No DUI. No Felonies. No year long probation. I could not believe it. The outcome was better than I ever would have imagined. Also that same day she got the court order to finally have my ankle SCRAM removed. I no longer have to pay $86/ week and do not have to hide my ankle anymore. She changed the course of my life. This could have been on my record for the rest of my life, my living options and career choices could have been negatively affected forever. I am so grateful for her representation. I highly recommend you seek her counsel for your criminal or civil case. She is educated, professional and experienced in the NE Florida legal world. I had 10 years of probation to do and was very doubtful that I could get off early because of a sex charge. I hired Darcy to represent me as a defense attorney. She was "all over it", she was responsive to my calls, texts and emails. I came to John Phillips office with little or no hope that I could prove my innocence or survive the alligations against me, I didn't think I would survive emotionally what myself and family were being put through. We were referred to this lawyer by a previous Duval county (Florida) judge after the separation of the unwed parents of a child with the indication that the mother might leave the state with the child and will not return. Florida law does not grant legal rights to an unwed father until paternity, time-sharing and shared responsibilities are established in court.
Overall, I am very satisfied with the result of this temporary hearing, giving credit to Debra and Thomas Treece. We are still waiting for the final hearing and hope that the Treece law team will continue to represent us fairly and honestly.
The Treece law team does not shoot for bashing the opposite party. From the beginning on, it was clear that they want a fair and honest outcome with no lies and only honesty. The reason to seek help was to fairly establish legal rights for the father and do all we can to benefit the child. The Treece law team maintained to fairly reach an agreement and asked for the continuation of the child's primary parent, which is tough to establish if it is the father who performed most parental responsibilities.
One "thing" I would like to mention is that I wish that the Treece law team would be more readily available when the father has an IMMEDIATE legal question, due to the mother using unfair tactics, lies and accusations that are unwarranted. I would love to at times receive a quick, brief legal advise right then and there, though acknowledge that we are not their only clients.
If you are looking for an aggressive lawyer to bash your opponent, keep looking. If you are looking for an aggressive FAIR lawyer, "fighting" for what is the honest truth and the best for the child, you found a calm legal team working for you.

Once my daughter received an order from the court, my daughter interviewed with many other attorneys. They would only allow her to talk with them. Upon meeting Mrs. Treece, I felt an immediate connection to her and Mr. Treece. In my opinion, they are like family to us. They are very approachable as well as professional. Paul and Harry Shorstein helped me through a very difficult case pertaining to a Dui. I had been sleep driving due to a bad reaction to my sleep meds. Although this was a very unique case without much precedence they handled it very effectually They were able to have the DUI dropped to just Reckless driving with no guilty plea or conviction. In 2009, I went through a divorce after being married for 14 years to my high school sweetheart. I was devastated to find out that my husband was having an affair and that his mistress was moving from Boston to Jacksonville in less than 2 weeks. A friend of mine advised that I call her attorney, Garrett Barket, and I am so glad that I did!
From the moment I walked into the office, Garrett and his paralegal, Jan, did whatever they could to put me at ease. I think of them as the "dynamic duo." They knew that I was scared, devastated and had no idea what was going to happen to me or my kids. Garrett treated me with respect and was beyond caring. Jan was always available for questions and Garrett was always prompt to reply when I needed to be in touch with him. He knew the law and was honest about what could happen and did not give me any false expectations.

I am confused at the previous reviews, my experiences have only been positive. I originally hired Robert Fishback for an incident a few years ago for a traffic violation. All I had to pay was the ticket, I did not get points. A few years ago, I was pulled over after I had left a party and blew a .08 and was taken to jail. I didn't know who else to call ..and glad I did. He was able to contact a judge and I was let out within a few hours. I was looking at a DUI but thanks to Mr. Fishback,I got a lesser charge and eventually he had it expunged from my record all together. Most recently I was speeding and again, Mr. Fishback managed to get me no points on my license.

I did not know I could call an attorney from the Duval County Jail. I sat in there for 21 days. Not fun!
The first and second time I went to court, the prosecution gave wrong information to the judge. Because I confronted the prosecution, when she told the judge I had four DUI’s the judge did not like that at all. It was my first DUI. On the second court appearance the prosecution said I hit four vehicles. That was not true either. The judge, at that point asked the prosecution if it was possible if I had hit one car with all the passengers in the car. The judge was correct. At that time, he ordered some kind of investigation. I had wrecked into one car.
Mr. Fishback also told me from the beginning there were no guarantees my case would come out in my favor. There was no way he could promise that and if he had promised me he could win the case hands down I would have known immediately he would have been the wrong attorney to hire. I like and respect him for his honesty professionalism.
I really cannot accurately express my satisfaction for the way he handled my case in every aspect. He worked hard and he did great.
I met a lady the other day that said she needed a lawyer so I immediately gave her Mr. Fishback's telephone number and location. I will recommend Mr. Fishback every single time I know someone is in need of legal assistance.
Mr. Fishback will also send you a letter(s) as a follow-up with the disposition and other important information. He looks out for the best interest of his clients. I know one thing for sure, if I ever need legal assistance again I know whom to call.
Mr. Fishback saved me from a lot of heartache and many extra expenses that could have come from the DUI. I suggest not using a public defender.
