I’ve worked with both Robert and Scott over the last two years on my case! Due to some complexities of my case and nuances, I feel that it took some extra time. However they were in touch with me the entire time, and I was not never left wondering what’s going on. In the end they gave me options of which way we can proceed and completely left it in my hands and I feel the conclusion of my case was fair and upon its conclusion, I never regretted reaching out to Grossman law first. Rocco was professional, attentive, and dedicated to helping me navigate my situation. He was always available to answer all my questions and provided clear guidance throughout the entire process, and I am extremely grateful I was referred to him. I have never been arrested in my life. I was at the Newark airport and had a expandable baton in my backpack while going through security. I have been flying with this baton for over a year and never had an issue, but unbeknownst to me, a simple baton is illegal in NJ and I was placed under arrest. I was referred to Rocco through a mutual friend, and he explained all the details of my situation. He mitigated my situation at my first court date by speaking directly with the prosecutor and getting the charge downgraded. He led me through all the steps of the process and answered all questions, ultimately leading to community service, dismissal of my case, and eventual expedited expungement. He is a confident, realistic, optimistic lawyer and my case could have turned out much worse but luckily I had Rocco on my side. I am eternally grateful and if you need an attorney who will explain the facts in a way you can understand, and get the job done, you would be lucky to have Rocco represent you!

Seven years ago my life changed in an instant. I was physically assaulted which left me with issues that I will battle for the rest of my life. This brought me to the offices of Shebell & Shebell where I would encounter two of the most trustworthy men I have ever met in my life. One of them was Mr. Apostolou who gave me his word that he would battle till the end for me. (After the situation in which I was hurt I found it extremely hard to trust anyone) With Mr. Apostolou he showed it is okay to trust again as for the last seven years he was there with an open ear for any issue I may have had, and helped anyway that he could. Recently I went through my first experience with the judicial system, and who was there, Mr. Apostolou. He again gave my case everything he had. Though he was always on my side he also did not sugar coat a single aspect as he allowed me to understand all and any issue that may arise throughout the process. During this time my family had become part of the process and were very nervous and psychologically drained. Mr. Apostolou at that time nurtured and answered any questions they may have had. Mr. Carmano was recommended to me through a friend of a friend. Mr. Carmano helped that client with his multiple DUI charges. He was able to lessen his suspension time by months. I had a DUI case and was facing 6 months of suspension and a ton surcharges and fees. With Mr. Carmano's years of experience and knowledge of the law he was able to file a motion, that I was pulled over for unjustified reasons. I have no record and had never been arrested before prior to this incident. Needless, to say his motion was accepted by the judge and my case was completely DISMISSED!! No DUI no surcharges no tickets no fees. Just a lesson learned! He also has a pleasant and informative secretary that will call you and email you to update you on your court dates. Overall, Mr Carmano is GREAT!! He is updated with the newest laws and is really there to help you. He is also easy to talk too and patient when explaining exactly what is going on in your case. He is the Best of the Best!

Words do no justice for the outstanding service and professionalism I experienced being represented by Michael Shulman. Some background: I was found with a small, 500 MG weed cartridge for my vape pen and was subsequently arrested in NJ. I was given the option for a public defender but decided against it after speaking with some friends who are attorneys. I found my way to Michael Shulman through word of mouth, and I could not have chosen better representation. Michael is thorough, quick to respond to emails (I rarely waited longer than 10 minutes) and answers all questions without hesitation. He has a clear grasp of the law and criminal defense and provides you with all your options. His prices are VERY fair given the level of service. I cannot imagine being represented by a public defender, especially after witnessing the other cases during my appearance before the judge/court. I ultimately enter a “guilty plea” and opted for the conditional discharge which is a diversionary program in municipal court that exists for first-time drug offenders. I was required to enter probation (or “mini-probation”) for one year. Following completion, the charges are dropped, and record expunged. There were some hiccups after being ordered to “mini-probation”. One month passed and I had still not receiving anything from court regarding probation. Two months, nothing. Three months, the same. Michael was proactive and reached out to the courts/probation every month to ensure I was covered, and the probation start date was not extended. This is the type of service you do not get with a public defender. In short, if you find yourself needing criminal defense, do not play with your future. Call, email, text Michael Shulman. You will be glad you did.

I would HIGHLY recommend Michael Shulman. He is a true professional, honest, patient, very responsive, fair in judgement, cost, understanding and goes the extra mile. I recently was faced with a situation and needed legal representation. I called Mike on a Friday late afternoon, explained my circumstances briefly by phone and before he would commit to taking my case, he asked to meet with him the following day. He took time out of his Saturday morning to meet at his office so that he could better understand my case in a face to face environment as part of his due diligence process. In other words, this man does not just take your money, he is upfront and honest, will fight for you and remains 100% transparent. My situation did turn into a trial and Mike did win my case. He was extremely communicative during the entire process, including trial and I would add to this that not all cases win in court but having someone in your corner that you can trust is very comforting. I would not hesitate to call upon Mike for representation.

Our real estate purchase turned into what could have been a nightmare, complete with squatting tenants, errant real estate agent, negligent attorney that the seller had, an eviction attorney, it went on and on. Dianne seamlessly shifted through every obstacle, always kept in touch, explained everything in simple terms and calmed my nerves. Dianne was easy to reach, incredibly organized, honest and hard working. She doesn't get paid until you close, her rates are reasonable and I cannot recommend her enough.

I engaged Dianne in early 2011 to deal with the legal aspects of selling our Jersey City home. Unfortunately, the buyers inspection revealed a leaking oil tank that, as per NJ State regulations, had to be removed and the site remediated to meet State soil and water quality standards. We finally sold the house to the original buyers in March 2015. The four years it took to remediate and sell were stressful both emotionally and financial - the cost of clean up was over $250K. Dianne helped make the whole process bearable by offering sound advice and always being responsive to the many demands of myself and our buyers. I don't know about Laterra but stay away from a unethical creature named Geff Hodge. He might have some knowledge but no heart or ethics. He will lie to you, change his words or Say stuff like I do not recall. Don't let this so called attorney handle your case. You will regret.
