Audrey was great, supportive and reliable. each time i called she was responsive and i am thankful for her effort, she came to court about 10 time for my case and did not ask for any extra time cost which i think she did it because i had to pay a big amount of return to my client and she knew that was putting me in a tight financial situation and was the only way to get out of the mess, That to me is valuable in a person.
Something we should know that i learned is lawyers work based on the document you have not your story, I was almost getting charges and being guilty because i pleaded guilty but i realized I have to dig into my document and send them to her which took my hours and days and when I sent them she started to organize them and send me things for correction and presented a great defense and finally from pleading guilty the case dropped and all charges to Null.

I'll forever regret my decision to hire Barbara Jorgensen as my divorce attorney. I am still suffering from the repercussions. My divorce should have been simple. My ex had a warrant out for his arrest due to a crime against a neighbor. He also had priors and had engaged in many actions causing great risk to me. I'd just been diagnosed with lifelong critical illness but this was pushed into taking on the impossible. The economy had collapsed and the property (that the ex was afraid to go near) was severely upside down in value. He wasn't contributing towards the property payments, and left me with an unmanageable number of expenses that were his responsibility. Barbara Jorgensen ignored all of these circumstances. She even told me that types of support other divorcees were successfully arranging did "not exist" and that his crimes and lack of financial contributions were somehow irrelevant to his demands for money that did not exist. While she may have advocated for her clients back in 1985, both her skills and focus were very outdated decades later. She was often outright condescending towards me as her client and kept confusing my account for another client's who was delinquent in payments. She also told me I had no choice but to continue with tasks and expenses for superfluous actions from my ex's attorney whereas in reality I could have walled away or ignored most of it. It was well known that the mess drained my savings and left me in a literal long-term trap. As a final display of not caring about her clients, she even sent a disruptive and embarrassing younger attorney to court the day my ridiculous divorce agreement was filed. I was leery of most of her decisions but was going off of Washingtonian Magazine's endorsements. This is not an attorney who will advise to your benefit. This is the type of lawyer who still believes that attorneys are automatically respected and assumed to be brilliant, thereby giving them the ability to make up rules and advice that their clients won't question. This may have been the case in 1985 but certainly wasn't by then. With the immature JGL junior attorney solidifying my overall impression, I've steered friends and colleagues away from this firm ever since.

never was so disappointed in phil armstrong hired him for dwi case w/ minor in car for $3000.00 and couldn't even show up. probably threw his yokie dok partner a $1000.00 and sent him instead. the judge basically threw the book at me. the only thing i didn't get was a year in jail. i did get 3 years supervised probation, 40 hours community service and MADD. never would recommend him again nor use him. mr. cheris, buy some suits that fit you. i was embarrassed for you. phil thanks for making my trusting issues confirmed.

I was being harassed by a an unaccredited claims company in regards to my V.A. Disability claim for payment of 5 times the increase of my rating. I got calls before 9 am, on the weekend, in the middle and the end of the day, they sent texts and emails every
other day as well, it was exhausting!
I called Bergmann & Moore to ask if this unaccredited company could send me to collections (which this company said they had done) or damage my credit score (which would be a likely outcome if this was a credit card debt for example) and I was assured that because this company is unaccredited they have no legal authority to demand payment for their services even though they would likely harass me for a while about it. Furthermore, that illegal contracts are not enforceable in a court of law.
I called Bergmann & Moore on a Friday afternoon and was contacted that following Monday (today actually) with the good news that I couldn't be collected upon!
I would like to encourage any veterans out there like myself to work ONLY with V.A. Accredited VSO's (Vereran Service Officers) and Accredited V.A. Attorneys/ Legal representatives like Bergmann & Moore. Their teams speed, professionalism and knowledge are top tier & FREE to veterans!
I have even passed their number on to my VSO and my local American Legion chapter so other veterans can avoid being scammed like I had been since I had already given this company over $800 already (live and learn). I would also like to thank Phobe who was my point of contact and relayed the good news to me, Phobe also followed up with secondary and tirciary course of action I could take against the predatory organization by informing me about how to make a complaint to the VA's Office of General Counsel and with the Federal Trade Comission.

Honestly, this man did not have my brother's best interest at all. My family spoke to him all of maybe 2 times during my brother's case that went on for over 7 months. He also did not show up to my brother's court dates and made multiple legal decisions for him before they were discussed. My family is very frustrated with this man and would not recommend his services to anyone.
