I normally don't give reviews but this is one that I could not resist to wtite. I reached out to Brendan because I picked up a charge that carried a strike and possible prison time. The very first thing he said to me was that he wins. I was searching for the best and thats exactly what I got. He advised me to do some pre court homework. By the time we got to arraignment he was 3 steps ahead of the DA. Everything he had me do pre court was exactly what the courts were going to have me do. He was masterful in the courtroom and you could see his years of experience and knowledge of the judicial system at work. Not only did he get the charge reduced to a misdemeanor before I arrived; he got the case dismissed and expunged. I contacted Brendan several times throughout the process leading up to the court date and he was always available to take my call. I wasn't pasted
passed off to a receptionist or messanging center. He took every call himself. You cant find this level of service these days. There are alot of attorneys out there but if you want a knowledgeable attorney with experience, great rates and thats going to be there for you until the end the Brendan is you guy.

I needed a civil harassment restraining order to protect my family, so I filled one out on my own down at the local superior court. The filing process was pretty straightforward and the temporary restraining orders were approved, but then the other side lawyered up and filed their own restraining order against my family. Since I have no legal training, I thought it would be a good idea to get a lawyer to protect us. It's difficult to find a lawyer that specializes in the exact case you need help with, so it took calling dozens of lawyers before I finally found Mr. Ortiz's firm. Talking to his senior paralegal Shaun the first time, I knew this was the firm for us; they saw our situation and completely agreed with our point of view. Of course, Mr. Ortiz's firm totally knew how to respond to motions and filings from the other side, and were able to handle all the legal maneuvering that I could have been blind-sided with. On the day of the court hearing for the restraining order, Mr. Ortiz personally showed up to help us through the day. He was able to say all the right legal words during court, and then explained our options to us in plain English. In the end, we got what we wanted. It was great to have Mr. Ortiz and his team on our side. They took the guesswork out of the legal proceedings, and we definitely got more peace of mind during the process to have such an experienced, level-headed firm handle things where emotions were definitely flying high on our end. Also of note, Mr. Ortiz's firm has very transparent pricing and a breakdown of how they use funds out of their retainer fee. Other firms were not as transparent with how they would use their funds, which made me feel uncomfortable that I could end up spending thousands of dollars more than I really intended to with a less positive outcome to our situation.

Mr. Polverino is extremely competent and knowledgeable in complicated criminal defense cases focusing mostly on Santa Clara County. My case being excellently conducted from the first court date reduced charges to misdemeanor, to eventually dismissal after multiple court representations over the past seven months. He’s very calm and professional, and promptly responsive either personally by email or through his assistant Debra. I remember he personally called me back the same day after I contacted his office and left a voice message.
It was a no brainer decision to hire Mr. Polverino after consulting/interviewing seven attorneys who all specialize in similar criminal defense cases. All in all Sam is simply the best!

I was involved in a domestic violent case, and I found Sam through online research. I talked to a few other lawyers before him, but I knew I needed to hire Sam after our initial consultation. We met face to face at his office. He carefully listened to my experience and walked me through the legal process. He is very experienced as he shared a lot more details about the District Attorney office than the other lawyers did, and he knows the current best way of convincing the DA to drop the case. He is also very genuine and down-to-earth. When I ask uncertain questions, he focuses on facts and does not over-promise anything. His legal pricing is competitive among all candidates, and when I asked if there is any room for discount, he honestly told me this was the lowest he would charge on a DA case. After I hired him, Sam and his assistant Debra answered all the questions I came up with. Luckily, my case was rejected before a preliminary hearing, and Sam voluntarily refunded two thirds of the legal fee and helped me request a detention certificate and sealed my arrest record. It was unbelievable. Honestly, I don't want to see any lawyers again. But if I get myself into troubles again, I wouldn't hesitate a second to hire Sam.

I was facing a serious felony charge that had potential to get even worse. Knowing this, I knew that I required first-rate legal representation. I consulted with several lawyers about the case, and after reviewing the options, it was clear as day that Sam was the best choice. I was referred to him by a family friend who practiced in a different type of law, and I am lucky he referred me. Not only did Sam have expert knowledge about the crime that I was being charged for, but he also knew the ins and outs of the court where my case was filed at thanks to his extensive experience. He was able to create a brilliant strategy that looked at every possible angle, which immediately put my worries at ease. In addition to this, he kept consistent communication with me throughout the entire case. I was never left wondering or confused about anything, because Sam and his office staff would always keep me in the loop with emails, letters, and phone calls. I won't go into the specifics, but I was facing a felony charge with several years in state prison. Some details of the case could have made the situation much worse, and I could have faced even more time. Thanks to Sam, I type this as a free man who never saw the inside of that prison cell. Reduced to a misdemeanor, 30 days of house arrest, no probation, cleared record after a year. When I must face the judge, there is no one else I would rather have by my side than Sam.

I was accused by police for abusing my son. I admit that I am a tough father but I am not the "abuser" described by the police. When I was released from jail I started seeking an attorney on AVVO. Mr. Nakano's experience drew my attention. However, my stereotype about lawyers reserved me from making immediate decision to hire him. After looking through his website, I told myself "why not give him a chance, and give yourself a chance". Because of our similar ethnic background, he could look at the situation from my perspective. Not only that, Mr. Nakano suggest me started to makeup for my mistake before the court date. He recommended Parents' Group, a group therapy that help distressed parents. In addition, he recommended me seeing professional counselor, who had taught me a lot because he had already went through the path that I am going through. Because of Mr. Nakano's help, I was dismissed of the charges by the police and was exonerated from CACI listing. Most importantly, my relationship with my son has improved. We enjoyed our Thanksgiving vacation in Disney; played retro video games and light saber duel together during Christmas Holidays. Aside from all the fun, he is still willing to follow my guidance to learn math and English daily. Thank you Mr. Nakano.

I came to Mr Steven Nakano awhile back concerned about a possible criminal case against me regarding an alledged a hit and run on the freeway resulting in property damage. When I was seeking out a criminal Attorney and presenting my charges 4 felonies, 3 Attorney's said I will have to do jail time until I met Cory Fuller he assured me he could get charges dropped or reduced and he did just that. No jail time 3 felonies dropped 1 reduced to a misdemeanor 1 year informal probation. I was so relieved. Hire this Attorney don't worry about money worry about your freedom and record. Very professional. Very open and friendly. Provided me with his cell phone so if I had questions I could contact him anytime. At first I wasn't sure with Jerry because he was in the Bay Area and I am in the valley. Didn't know if he would take my case. However, after speaking with him on the phone I knew I found the right attorney. He explained the entire process, what would be needed and what to expect. Seldom did I have any surprises. We gathered information and statements. Jerry put everything together and setup the first court hearing. He was successful in helping me get my 1203.4 (Dismissal). Next we moved on to the Certificate of Rehabilitation. He appeared with me at my interview and several continuations waiting for the DA to finish their report. The day finally came on November 18. My COR was submitted and approved by the judge. With that I was also cleared from the 290 Registration List. It was a long process, but well worth it. In 2000 I was convicted of a very serious felony drug charge. I was 20 years old. I came from a good home, graduated high school early and made great achievements in sports. I started to hang out with the wrong crowd, which eventually led me to be in a horrible drug charged relationship. I got my life back together, graduated college and went back into sports. However, everywhere I went this felony affected my life. It was hard to get a good job. Interviewers were interested in me, but as soon as they found out I had a felony I could see it in their eyes and body language…disappointment. I continually felt guilt and shame throughout my life, when all I was trying to do is be a better person. Then I met Mr. Mullins; he was confident in the fact that even though I had a serious drug charge it would be possible for me to have my full rights back. My journey was not easy, I had to put my heart and soul on paper and discuss what I did, and who I have become. We went through all the steps of receiving a Certification of Rehabilitation and then submitting that for a Governor’s pardon. Mr. Mullins knew all the steps that needed to be taken, and how it needed to be presented. I was arrested for concealed carry charges and Don did a wonderful job to help me get the best deal. I was going to be convicted of felony in Santa Clara county. Don spoke with the DA and I recieved a deal on my first court date. I was originally going to get a felony but it was reduced to a misdemeanor with court probation for two years and no weapons for 5. Mr Ryan Patrick was successfully dismissed my traffic ticket. I stopped at a stop signed in a 25 m/h street, after a about half a mile a high way patrol officer stopped me and asked for my drivers license and insurance then she handed me a ticked stating that I did not come to a complete stop at the stop sign; however, i did stopped but it might have been a quick stop which was not visible to the officer. I told her respectively that I did stop but she did not pay attention to my explanation. I told her that I will talk to a counsel and defense my truthfulness. I found out about attorney Mullane and his services through the NORML website. Since my felony marijuana conviction was 18 years old and I had moved away from the county where I was originally convicted finding the perfect lawyer was crucial. I found that man in Ryan Mullane. Always positive and truthful he listened to my unique situation and had the sand to take on my case. Our initial request was denied so Mr. Mullane set up a hearing before the superior court judge. Needless to say this was the moment of truth. Like Atticus Finch (To Kill A Mockingbird) only with the passion to expose the failed drug policies of the 80's 90's and mass incarcerations was he able to sway the judge in my favor when the district attorney was clearly not. Justice was served and I will always be grateful for having retained his services and all that came with it.
