It's simple Scott is simply the best Criminal lawyer in Arizona you can get! He didnt only win my case, he saved my life . He was dedicated and had amazing communication throughout the whole case, not to mention hes just a truly nice guy. I have never been arrested or gone to jail before. I also have never been prosecuted before. So this whole process was the scariest thing i had ever been through. scott worked so hard for me and was always so patient the whole time. Everything i have ever asked him to do, look into, ask, type up, or follow up on he took care of immediately even though he still had so many other cases to deal with as well. The prosecutor was trying to put me in prison for 5-15 years on a first offense and scott fought it all the way with me for a year and a half and got me a NOT GUILTY verdict on 2 counts. I was appointed a public defender to represent me in criminal case in Bullhead City Arizona. Mr. Greene was very clear from the beginning of my case, what I was facing and the consequences if I was found guilty. Jim Fullin will help you no matter what. He is well versed in the law, and does not sugar coat anything. (I like that). Because he is so familiar with the law, he can tell you in the first meeting what to expect. He is very fair in his fees.
He makes himself available to you at any time, before he works with you and after.
A great community member, family man, and lots of integrity.
The office staff is also very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Jim is very good at responding to messages in a timely manner.
I am not comfortable talking about my particular case, but I was very pleased with Jim's office and staff and the outcome of the case.

My daughter was attacked by my son's ex-girlfriend. She knocked my less than 100 pound daughter to the ground and viciously attacked her and stomped on her face as she was being pulled off. TPD decided to paper arrest everyone involved, which created the need for an attorney. In the end, the incompetence of the TPD officer forced us to hire an attorney to protect our daughter against bogus charges. After meeting with Mr. Fullin and providing photographs along with a description of the events, he quickly had my daughter’s charges dismissed without the over-priced fees other law firms require. He was very professional, knew how to proceed quickly and is someone I would recommend to anyone in a similar situation.

My husband and I hired Kathryn to fill up our applications of Adjustment of Status through marriage with an American citizen. She took care of everything and I always had an answer any time I ask something about my process. Kathryn was very patient with me and I will get an answer from her or Allison who is part of the team in their Office. Since you arrive to the Office everybody is with a smile and they make you feel like you are in good hands. No better lawyer in Arizona. Has been my divorce lawyer and costs less than half the cost of my soon to be ex. Cares about you and family. Very reasonable in decision making and tore up their witnesses at hearing and trial. Excellent staff. Great criminal defense and DUI attorney too - was a cop. Only draw back is you have to pay your own parking in downtown but it keeps his costs low as they just pass on their cost to you with profit.

Quite simply the best defense lawyer in Tucson that money could buy, if he wasn't working for the public defenders office. The Pima county DA's office can only hope and pray that someone in the private sector will eventually headhunt Goncalves, until then they will continue to lose cases when Goncalves is retained for some broke defendant like myself.

Meighan came through for me so hard. I was dealing with an ex who took my order of protection as a personal offense, and appealed immediately. That process necessitates a hearing where both parties are present. I knew I would have to re-testify, and be examined on the stand by my ex. The thought of being trapped in a courtroom with them sounded like hell on earth. I wasn't sure what to do for representation or case building.
I contacted Meighan for advice, but instead got urgent and superb representation. She navigated the hearing with total competence, and was organized from start to finish. She understands court process in a way that defines expertise. I would never have been able to finagle my evidence into exhibits or present them properly, or know what was grounds for objection.
It provided me with so much peace of mind to have her there, not only because of her "bedside manner" (benchside manner?) but also because she spared me incalculable stress and humiliation. She got a read on the judge quickly, and proved her knowledgeability as well as her good-faith approach immediately in the hearing.
Her examinations of me, my ex, and my ex's witnesses was efficient for my cause without being harsh or aggressive. She only belabored evidence that was relevant to the instance at hand, which saved time and strain for everyone. She blocked my ex's line of sight to me during the entire hearing, which was the difference between situational stress and a nightmare. Meighan advocated for me simply by asking the right questions and emphasizing the right information. Her argument was rooted in evidence, not extrapolations or creative character assassination. To be frank, Meighan cuts through bullsh*t like warm butter, graciously and without vulgarity.
I think it stands to mention that even the opposition's witnesses in this case were treated so well by Meighan that they fell out with my ex shortly after. Meighan recognized that they were good, honest people, and they were just trying to help a friend. Participating in the trial was immensely stressful for them.
I live in a small town; my ex was using their relationship with the two witnesses to force their way into the spaces that I had to be in for work. That change in allegiances directly improved my safety and peace in my life. The witnesses and I have had the opportunity to trauma bond over our mutual experiences with that lunatic and come out of it with a stronger acquaintanceship than we had before the fact. Meighan was so potent that the opposition's witnesses are now friends of mine.
I don't live in Pima county, but by chance I spoke with a prosecutor from Pima who was visiting a mutual friend. When I was telling her about my case circumstances, she asked who my attorney was. I said it was Meighan LaFata. She smiled (a little mischievously I thought), and said she really likes Meighan. She called her honorable, reasonable, and responsible.
I'll remind you that this person was a prosecuting attorney, and Meighan was previously in public defense, meaning that their professional relationship would have been adversarial as a baseline by nature of an "adversarial justice system".
I can't sing Meighan's praises enough. She is more humane as a person and in her role than you can fully imagine before you experience it. A friend of mine in PA who's a contract lawyer always told me that the best lawyers don't just know law. The dually important role of a lawyer is peace of mind. Meighan provides that in spades. In my case, comparatively small as it may have been, she brought it to the entire courtroom. She demonstrates a sincerity, humility, and heart of service in her work that makes it easy for decent people to respect her.
Having Meighan with me was the beginning of healing from all of this. I'll always be grateful.
