Michael Bruckeheim is an amazing attorney and makes you feel like a friend rather than a client. I knew he was an excellent choice from the start as he spent over two hours on the phone with me on a Saturday morning. He was straightforward about all the possible outcomes of the case, which I really appreciate. He also gave me some courses prior to my court date which really helped my case. In the end, I had my charges greatly reduce and Mr. Bruckheim was a calming influence throughout the whole process. I would highly recommend Mr. Bruckheim!

Michael Bruckheim was nothing short of fantastic through out my entire legal process. Male, mid 30's, and to risk sounding cliche, "I do not normally write reviews". However, in this circumstance, I find myself obligated to do so in as honest and sincere a way as possible as a means to be a service. The service I would hope to provide is to guide others who may have found themselves on the wrong side of the system and in a "nightmare scenario" so as to direct them the correct way.
Last summer, I found myself in a predicament in which I was involved in an incident at a hotel which landed me charges with the State of Maryland. Again, in my 30s, I have always strove to do the right thing; I served in the Army and spent years in a civil service job with no prior record. However, as we too often do for ourselves, I may have been caught up in the perspective of it never happening to myself. Several bad choices and a mess later and I was struggling to figure out how to save my career while navigate the stressors and situation I had found myself in. Being from out of state and a couple thousand dollars bail later, I was finally home and frantically searching for legal representation without any clue as to how to proceed with my situation.
Through the process, from the beginning to the end, Frank honestly and sincerely guided and articulated how the legal case would go. Coming from an experienced background, I found in conclusion of my case that everything he had stated in his guidance and truthfulness in regards to how to proceed had come true. The results of my case were better than could have been expected; not only was I found not guilty, I was acquitted of the charges.

I got pulled over for a DUI and had forgotten that I left my loaded firearm in the car. I realized I was in serious trouble and looking at substantial prison time. I called the Law Offices of Frank Benvenuto and he and his assistant Jennifer went to work on my case. Frank is the best lawyer. He walked me out of court with no conviction! He was even able to save my driving privilege. If you are in Ocean City or in the surrounding area. YOU want this GUY! He gets the job done. Mr Dolan is an outstanding Lawyer. He communicates extremely well and doesn’t pull punches. The advice he gave me in my most difficult and challenging times was spot on. The way he projected things to end up is the exact way they ended up. What I liked most about Mr Dolan is he never judged me nor made me feel uncomfortable. In fact he encouraged me to not let my indiscretion defined me. His litigation in court on my behalf,, in my mind was perfect and to be frank. It was unbelievable.

I wish I could give 10 stars. Engaging Barry to help me with my 2 DUI cases was one of the best decisions I've ever made. Barry handled my cases effectively and gracefully. He has helped me to get the lightest sentences possible !!! I actually think the results were better than the lightest sentences possible. I was facing sexual assault charges and had plead guilty to a misdemeanor with another lawyer. With the plea, I was required to register as a sex offender. this was the absolute worst time of my life. My only chance out of this situation would be a successful reconsideration appeal. I had a two hour consultation with Mr. Lastra concerning my pending divorce and custody matter.
I have multiple children with my spouse, including a stepchild from their previous marriage whose life I've been a part of since they were very little. Shortly into our meeting, Mr. Lastra asked me about my children and whether our relationship was biological, and then explained very compassionately that - unfortunately - if it were contested by either or both of their biological parents, he would not be able to guarantee me custody of or access to my stepchild as a de facto parent. He assured me that if he were representing me and I truly did want to pursue it against all odds that he would do everything in his power to help, but cautioned that it would likely be a long and costly uphill battle with an uncertain outcome.
As heartbreaking as that was to hear, Mr. Lastra was the first lawyer to really prioritize and ask about my concerns for the children rather than choose to focus on my spouse and our finances and marital property. His honesty about that - the one outcome I care most about - gave me peace of mind that he wasn't just telling me what I want to hear to get me to sign his retainer.
Additionally, while his consultation was not free, without my even having to ask, Mr. Lastra was extremely considerate of my budget. At the very beginning of the meeting, he verified the hourly rate that I had been quoted previously and told me how long his consultations with other people typically lasted. Then, every twenty minutes or so, he was kind enough to let me know how much billable time had elapsed and allowed me to set the pace of our discussion accordingly.
Throughout the rest of our meeting, Mr. Lastra was both extremely inquisitive and educational. Rather than simply listen to my account of events, he engaged frequently, asking regular questions and taking notes. He also shared a wealth of his own knowledge, pulling from both general law and process as well as experiences gained from similar cases he'd handled in the past. During our consultation, I felt both well listened to and that I was speaking with an obvious expert.
Prior to our meeting, I had discussed this matter with a few other lawyers, and while they were all quite professional and empathetic, none of them felt like they were being as realistic with me about the possible timelines, outcomes, costs, and the availability of themselves and their associates to adequately represent me and my family's interests as Mr. Lastra did. Though his rates are above average, my first impression from my consultation is that there is very good justification for it. He has absolutely earned my endorsement.

Mr. Geller did an amazing job with my case. i was facing some serious time and some very serious charges. Geller showed so much compassion for my life and my story this man cared about me and he genuinely wanted nothing but the best for me i was going through a lot at the time of the crime and we utilized these things in my defense yes i was guilty but i am not a bad person and without Mr. Geller on my side i don't think i would have been able to tell my story i wouldnt have had a chance to show people i have a heart and i am human and i made a mistake i would not have had the same outcome had he not been in my corner fighting for me. he was also constantly in contact with my family keeping them in the loop checking up on them making sure everyone was doing ok and keeping my family calm. he would also come to see me personally while i was detained in our county facility he hand delivered all paperwork pertaining to my case and he went through everything with me to ensure i was 100% informed on everything so i was aware of all possibilities good and bad he relieved a lot of the stress i had once i knew what was going on because in that situation the period of time when you dont really know what will happen is painful there are so many things running through your head at that time it drives you crazy and he put all that at ease i highly recommend acquiring his services god bless you sir and thank you for all of your help this case was a win in my books!

I hired Joseph Lawrence to represent me in my divorce. Mr. Piereck became my attorney rather last minute to a very complicated case. The states attorneys office at the last minute decided to dismiss it, but Mr. Pierick was extremely helpful and informed on all of my options moving forward and as to why the states attorney’s office canceled.

There are lawyers, then they’re heroes. Nicholas Exarhakis is more than an attorney, he’s a warrior. I discovered Nick on a google search as I desperately scrambled to find an attorney after my previous attorney dropped the ball on my case. My case was complex and far from an easy litigation or legal maneuver. Since the very first consultation I understood immediately that Nick was not the type of attorney that will give me false hope or give me unreal expectations for my case. He was REAL and HONEST. I am a man who wanted custody of my daughter from a mother who had custody since birth (6 years). Without getting into the details of the case, Nick fought relentlessly to have me granted primary custody. The battle was fierce with many motions, hearings appeals and so on, but Nick showed up prepared, armed with facts, evidence, discovery findings, effective cross examination questions and more. Custody modification is often even more challenging than an initial custody proceeding. The "material change" and "best interest" standards are rather subjective and a judge is not inclined to change a custody agreement without overwhelming evidence that it would improve the child's situation.
Despite the inherent difficulty, Ms. Russell achieved the exact result we set out to achieve in my custody modification case. She is an incredible strategist and litigator with a total command of MD custody law. Every part of the plan was well-considered and well-executed.
I would highly recommend Emily for any family law matter. I would also recommend listening to her when she provides advice. Unlike some attorneys, she doesn't hedge on every recommendation to the point that you're making all the decisions without knowing the possibilities of how those decisions will turn out. My very first impression of Emily was amazing. Friends of mine were having their first child and the hospital would not allow the non birth mother to access their newborn due to them being a same sex couple. Emily not only answered her phone right away, she drove to the hospital to make sure her clients were being taken care of!
Emily (and Heather) stepped in to handle was was quickly becoming a very emotional situation. Within moments the problem was solved and our friends had a smooth adoption afterwards.
I knew Emily was going to be my first call to handle dissolving a civil union (issued only in Vermont) that I had been a part of since 2001. Emily met with me to go over my options on what I was told by two other attorneys would be nearly impossible and very costly. My former partner and I were tethered to a civil union that states no longer recognized and they were obsolete as marriage equality was on the horizon. The unfortunate part was those living in civil unions who had separated, like myself were caught up in the red tape of the courts with many courts claiming no jurisdiction, yet this was still a legal binding that would had to be dissolved to get officially married.
From the start Emily said "we will get this done, and if we can't at first we will keep trying until we do". Emily went far above and beyond in my case. On the day before the trial, the courts were all of a sudden requesting my EX be present. She lives 1200 miles away. Emily called the court endlessly the entire day and after hours, she faxed forms to the judge and guided not only me but pointed my ex in the proper direction to make sure she would not be left in some sort of trouble with the courts. As my case was in front of the judge, i was worried! I felt the judge was tough on the cases before mine....Emily was right next to me and consistently told me "its ok". When it was time for my case, Emily was confident and calm in front of the judge. She had a quick response for every question and was prepared for what seemed like anything and everything. 10 minutes later, my civil union which had been in limbo for years, was dissolved! Emily Charged me a regular uncontested divorce rate. She responded to every call and email within hours. I still can't believe it and Emily and I stay in touch to this very day!
