I found Jessica through Avvo after I was raped on my college campus. Not only did she help to make my situation at school safer, she continuously checked in on me and recommended numerous helpful resources. These resources entirely benefitted me, she had nothing to gain from them. Jessica is extremely intelligent, empathetic, and, most importantly, great at her job. She answers emails quickly, takes the time to talk to you on the phone for as long as necessary, and is a fantastically eloquent writer. She has been such a big influence in my life, and because of her, I made the decison to be a lawyer myself and do work similar to hers. She has been a role model and a godsend for me and my family. I cannot say enough good things about Attorney Nick Gordon, he was confident and reassuring from day one, constantly assuring me that he has handled many of these cases and it would be all right. Attorney Gordon was masterful in court he was confrontational, but personable in his cross examination of witnesses. During Attorney Gordon's cross examination of witnesses he was able to point out inconsistencies in prior statements. Attorney Gordon was tenacious and like a surgeon, cutting through the evidence in the case. I can never thank Attorney Gordon enough for what he did! The best lawyer in the state. Attorney Gordon was able to win our case with a verdict of not guilty on all of our charges. These charges were some of the highest level felony charges one could be accused of in the state of Massachusetts but Attorney Gordon remained poised and confident throughout the entire case. He went above and beyond throughout the whole process starting from the day that we first met him where he’d schedule meetings out of his own personal time to help prepare us for the trial. Throughout the case, he kept a positive attitude and his performance in the courtroom throughout the trial is one that will leave you amazed. From the start he reassured us that he would “crush” this case and that is truly what he did. Everytime we’d see Attorney Gordon, he always greeted us with a smile. The only aggression we ever saw out of Attorney Gordon was when he’d point out the blatant lies from witnesses during cross examination. The work he put into our case was astounding and I’m deeply appreciative to have had him as our attorney. Carla is kind, professional, and smart. She helped me get out of my bad marriage during the height of covid with grace and intelligence. She was absolutely a rock when they tried to pull some shady things, like stealing all my stimulus checks and trying to make me share my husbands extremely high credit card debt. The opposing lawyer started screaming during one of our Zoom meetings and Carla was absolutely cool as a cucumber. I got my stimulus money back and I did not have to take on paying back his CC debt. I hired Carla Halpern to assist me with a no contest divorce. She was clear about what to expect, made the process much less petrifying than I'd thought possible, and I felt confident with her on my side.
We experienced a complication when my ex moved to Asia and failed on a part of his divorce obligations. Without leverage to work with in terms of international law, Ms. Halpern deftly managed to help me get him to make good on those obligations.

While the case was in session she had given me a pad and pen in case I had questions I felt should be addressed.
She fought hard for me in her closing....
I was found "Not Guilty
Also at the time I had no automobile,she picked me up from my home and drove me back as well.

Valenda Applegarth was my attorney from around 1990 - 1998 for a domestic violence case which included child custody and visitation. In early October, I was charged with an OUI (my first interaction with criminal justice)
Considering my profession, firearms licenses, and prospective business opportunities, an unfavorable disposition of the case, would have been VERY problematic.
Atty Chamberland thoroughly reviewed the case with me, offered a pragmatic, and sensible approach (suggested trial by jury)
Thankfully at the "Motion for Trial Readiness" He was able to get the OUI charge dismissed outright, and I was found "not responsible" for speeding.... This saved me THOUSANDS of dollars, a potential conviction on my record, and TONS of stress.
Should you find yourself in similar circumstances, I would STRONGLY suggest consulting with Atty. Chamberland!

Unfortunately, Joseph Keegan did not live up to the reputation I have read about in my case. His lack of professionalism included being late for court appearances and not returning phone calls, emails or texts. Atty Keegan is very personable, but really was lacking in follow-through.

I just finished working with Julie for almost two years now, through a (to put it mildly), very messy divorce. There are many highs and lows throughout the process, but I can honestly say that Julie and her team are the only reason I made it out intact.
As you can imagine, there are occasions all rationale and logic can leave you. That is when I found the advice and support given by Julie and Matt to be a godsend. I cannot count how my times I would receive a call from one or both of them to check in with me, just to see if I was okay.
Additionally, I found Julie to be quite insightful. Her ability to weed through the nonsense and get to the heart of the matter at hand to be spot on.
Example: On occasion, I could rant and rave for 20-30 minutes while she patently listened. When I was finished, she would say (usually in one sentence or less) "So this is what you mean"... my response would be "Exactly".
I can and will recommend Julie to anyone who needs a incredibly talented and gifted lawyer.
