I'm going to keep this post short and simple!! I called other attorneys in the area to assist my son with a minor infraction that happened on campus but never signed a contact because it just didn't seem right. My anxiety was on an all time high...it was the holiday weekend in 2023( Thanksgiving) and I called Darren Drakes office and left a message not expecting a call back but Kellie called me back and I'm thankful she did!! There is not enough stars to give this gentleman! I would like to say Zak was noble, humble, and genuine. Things that you absolutely can't find in an Attorney. I have been burned too many times by Attorney's countless times before. Zak is notable of his oath and what he represents in his profession. He is one of the very few rare breeds, God sent honestly. I fasted and prayed and God sent me a heavenly helper. Zak had a plan, a reputation with his constituents which is essentially what you're paying for. He was worth the investment, a very worthy lawyer. I believe he tells it like it is. If any uncertainty is in the mist he will let you know. I hired Robb after having 2 prior attorneys for a highly contested custody matter. Robb took my case on a fairly short notice and immediately got to work. My case had several layers that had to be peeled back and was complex to say the least. Robb was able to get up to speed very quickly on the facts of the case as well as my concerns surrounding the matter. Robb was always prepared for any motions that had to be heard as well as during the trial which was a seven day trial. He truly wants the best outcome for his client and he shows that through his attention to detail and open communication. Robb has a good presence in he court room and commands respect during cross examination. Robb has a good grasp on processes, and uses great emotional intelligence. It is so difficult to find a trustworthy attorney. After meeting with several different ones, we were blessed to find Stuart. We hired him for a case of termination of parental rights and adoption of minors. It is needless to say the case resulted in our favor. I will always be grateful for how the negotiations he did for me changed the trajectory of my life. "Making good decisions is a crucial skill at every level." - Peter Drucker The quote above is one I wish had come to mind before retaining the first attorney in my criminal case. It is never a good decision to make a decision from anxiety and fear of unfamiliar circumstances. What prepares a person without a criminal record to take the next step in the judicial process after bonding out of jail? Nothing. Living an honest life for 60 years means little when falsely accused of domestic violence. Watching as mandatory arrest and no-drop prosecution policies implemented to protect victims of domestic abuse were skillfully exploited and manipulated by the mother of my son's young child was staggering. The hurried decision after being released from the mandatory Metro Jail 12-hour hold to pay legal retainer fee was a novice's mistake. Choosing from a list of private counsel found in the reception area of the Public Defender's Office without researching experience and case results almost jeopardized my rights and freedom. Unlike my accuser, there was no army of advocates waiting to guide me through the process. Thankfully, I was able to find Mr. Horst's website in my online search for highly-rated experienced criminal trial attorneys. After watching Mr. Horst's video “My Client My Fight”, I knew he was the person for my defense. The most repeated characteristics of successful criminal defense attorneys mentioned in articles I read online were: Credibility, Communication Skills, Knowledge, Confidence, Civility, Personal Involvement and Courtroom Demeanor and my addition to the list - Backbone. Mr. Horst possesses them all in spades. From the beginning, my decision to have the case bound over to Criminal Court was non-negotiable. Many people said to me, "Why not just accept the General Sessions hallway offer of judicial diversion, conviction, 16 week offender program and no jail time just to be done with the stress?" Mr. Horst said me, "Why?" Words cannot describe the feeling of waking up the morning after my case was retired. For the first time in almost a year the anxiety and thoughts of an emotional trial were gone. I am very grateful for Mr. Horst's endless patience, understanding and guidance during the judicial process. Hopefully, I will not need a criminal trial defense attorney in the future. I was charged with a class d felony. Tammy didn’t look at me as just another client or another paycheck. She treated me and my family like her own. From the beginning I was looking at 2 years in jail and it was more or less certain that I was going to spend a good amount of time in jail. I settled on the first plea deal we got and it involved no jail time at all. She went above and beyond in every aspect of this case. Where most attorneys will stop at a certified letter or a notarized note she went a step further and had them come in to testify. She really put her time and effort into getting the best possible outcome for my family. I didn’t get to see my wife or children for three months and she made it her mission to reunite us all. This morning they moved back in. I cannot speak higher of Tammy. There are no amount of words I have to give her the credit she deserves. She is and will always be a part of our Little family.

I'm a single father who has been through countless false accusations by the mother of my child. My son's mother wanted to pass my son off as another man's that she had been dating on and off for years. She started all of the false accusations right after I had her served with court papers to see my son for the first time and be involved in his life as his father. Attorney Huddleston was in my corner every step of the way and fought hard for me and my little man. If it weren't for him, I wouldn't have even had the chance to meet my son, know what he looked like, bond with him, or anything. It is because of Attorney Huddleston that my son and I were granted 50/50 joint custody time together and get to enjoy our favorite meal of tacos together! I am so grateful to Attorney Huddleston for all of his help. I have worked with some lawyers who have taken my money but then only half represented me in hopes of getting more money or flat out failed me in court costing me more money and then they have had the nerve to demand more money from me after their complete failure. It's downright unethical and immoral. Attorney Huddleston is not that kind of attorney and any money spent for his services is well worth it. He really does put his all into fighting for his clients. Even though I am still fighting in court against false accusations from the mother of my son claiming that I am molesting my son, beating him, and abusing him mentally, while she continues to refuse to bring him to pick ups and drop offs, slander me to doctors and therapists that she's set up for our son, and continues to file orders of protection (all dismissed) with her 4th one just dismissed recently, and not knowing how my son is doing or haven't seen him since October, I still hold true to faith that something will change. Having Attorney Huddleston in my corner through it all has truly been a blessing. I hired Alexa after my juvenile daughter got into some trouble with the law. Alexa was great!! She was very knowledgeable about the whole process we were about to go thru. She met with us before our court date and explained what our day in court would entail ( since I had never been in trouble before I had no idea what to expect for my daughter ).
