I really wish I could give 18 times the number of stars! Larry is congenial, engaging, accessible, and incredibly knowledgeable in every aspect of elder law. Larry was extremely helpful to me and my daughter when my husband died suddenly seven yeas ago. He took care of settling the estate and then creating my will and living will so that my daughter would not have to deal with any uncertainties in the future when I died or became incapacitated. Larry is very knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything in terms we could understand. He gave us his undivided attention, took his time, and I never felt rushed. He and everyone in the office were warm and caring. Definitely not the stereotyped stuffed suit law firm. He and his staff were easily available, retuning phone calls promptly and most of the time answering live. A rarity in this day and age of computerized robotic menus. The office is so responsive that they were able see me and take care of changes to my will within 24 hours of my last minute phone call requesting to change something prior to my surgery that was three days later.
I have nothing but high regard for Larry and the staff and recommend them without reservation.

Rich helped my husband and I through the painful process of guardianship for my husband's mother. She suffers from severe dementia and was completely uncooperative. Rich gently communicated with her and received more cooperation than we thought possible. He held our hand as we obtained guardianship, relocated Mom to a Memory Care Unit, and liquidated her assets to pay for care. Always available when you have questions, Rich has been a guardian so he has experience with issues for which there is no guidance written anywhere. He receives our highest recommendation.

Omg I don’t know where to start with this man.
Here we go.
I lost my wife and I am fairly young man and I did not know the importance of have an estate lawyer. It’s not a joke how they system can just make it impossible for you. I am truly thankful of Bob with his team of helping me and saving me hundreds of thousand of dollars of which I could have never paid of.
But because of his hard work and detail focused, good planning, and your love for people to do well in whatever walk of life they have. You made it happen for me and saved something for my kids to leave a good life and get opportunity to go college with very minimum debit. More could be said but no need.
I want to conclude by blessing him and his team and wishing him all the best in his work - I believe his love for people make work hard.

Robert Gerhard is an exceptional Elder Law attorney who I hired to make sense of a tangled legal situation involving the estate of a deceased family member. Without a formal will and interconnected paperwork, Bob was able to work through Pennsylvania's laws & regulations to establish an executor, file taxes, close out the estate and bring all fiduciary questions to a close. Without his knowledge, patience, personal and professional assistance, I would have been completely lost throughout the entire probate process. He made me feel comfortable and trustworthy at all times, explaining the "legalese" of government forms, etc., and the need for documentation. I feel that I couldn't have made a better choice for an Elder Law Attorney in Pennsylvania.

My case was very difficult and I had so many attorneys decline my case but they would tell me to contact Ms. Speyer, so she’s very well respected with her colleagues they said she would help move things along in my case. Another review said she’s not coddling which she isn’t and that’s needed in order to get things done and keep clients on task it helped me so much. She’s very well respected with the court systems especially Phila Register of Wills and that helps when your trying to get information or get something done. She did a great job of keeping me on task and not letting me get bothered by irrelevant information especially the hatred coming from the other side, so her not allowing me to get emotional showed me she knew what I needed at the time to keep things moving along. My recommendation for anyone using her is to calm down and let her handle things it will take so much of the stress out, you know you hired the best, trust that decision. Ms. Speyer helped me so much and I appreciate her and would and will be recommending her to anyone going through a similar situation.

As executor for both my father and sister's estates, I found myself out-of-my-league in completing the numerous court documents and deadlines needed to meet the State's requirement. Additionally, I was steering this during recovery from a heart transplant. Debra was invaluable to me, working closely to complete the inheritance tax requirements, determine the disbursement of funds to their heirs and nursing me along to submit the required documents needed for closeout.

Hello,
My name is Michele Calp. I am the Power of Attorney for my sister who is in a nursing home. My niece and I were in the terrible position of having to find a nursing home for my sister who has dementia. We were not in the position to pay privately for her nursing care, which meant we we would have to apply for Medicaid. We attended a seminar on Elder Care Planning that Bellomo was holding. We set up a meeting and from that point decided to have them work with us. And we are glad we did. The work that is involved in getting the paper work together to apply is daunting. They took so much pressure off of our shoulders. The people there are so easy to work with and make you feel that they will do all they can to help you.

Having recently gone through a divorce and the death of a parent, I've had to get my financial house in order. Part of this is estate planning for myself and children. I could not be more satisfied with engaging in this process with Whitney. From the outset, Whitney clearly explained all angles I'd want to consider as we prepared my will and power of attorney documents. Her clear communication and attention to detail made all of this much easier. As a firm, Unruh, Turner, Burke, and Frees has helpful worksheets and booklets that detail the estate planning process. I have retained T for over 15 years or so. I'd like to think I can judge an attorney's quality. Through the years, I have worked and been friends with numerous attorneys who are considered excellent by their own peers....including Harvard Law, major Wall St firms and Europe in many facets of the practice. Further, my father was in the judiciary and I think I have a pretty good understanding of what it takes to be exceptional. If someone asks me who my attorney is (although I use several for various specialties,) I say Theresa. T has gone above and beyond so many times for friends and myself. If I chose one special quality in addition to her utter competency and professionalism it is TRUST. I have known T's family since I was a child and law is in their blood. Just good people. We have all heard the nefarious remarks about attorney's and their kinship to sharks. T couldn't be farther from this stigma. I sat with Theresa this week to discuss some business matters and it was more like having coffee with a friend. No rush. I have walked courthouses with Theresa, and, it is obvious she is well known and well respected by the many walking the halls. And, the bonus is Autumn and Jen are the best! I noted the comments by the person (since disproven) which said she did not return calls, etc. Hello? Have you ever worked with an atty before? An atty does not call back unless they have something to tell you. Think about it.....legal wheels turn slow...it saves you billing for wasted phone time . A unique thing with T's staff is they are "up-to-speed" at all times....I can't tell you how many times I have called with a question and they dealt with it in a 30-second call. You won't get that with most attorneys. The office is run like a family....just what you want when dealing with nerve-wracking issues. Professional, classy, thorough....pals. Recommended unequivocally.

If you are dealing with a family matter, I highly recommend working with Tina Corr.
Pricing: Tina Corr was fair and consistent with pricing. Her contract was straightforward and easy to read. Prices are reasonable and billing was explicitly spelled out ahead of time so no surprises.
Personality: Tina Corr was wonderful to talk to. She gave me the truth even if it wasn't what I wanted to hear. She read everything I sent (and I mean read, not just received) and she responded mindfully to all of my concerns.
Efficiency: Tina Corr was responsive (almost always within 24 hours via phone or email!) and efficient with paperwork. Everything was filed correctly on time if not early. I never felt like my lawyer left me hanging.
Flexibility: Tina Corr was able to respond specifically to the unique needs and requests I had for my case. I think family cases can be nuanced and mine was no different. Tina Corr was able curate the work on her end to suit my specific circumstance. I attribute this to the fact that she's a good listener and perceptive; qualities that can be difficult to find in a lawyer.

I met Leonard Shober when I needed an elder care attorney. Hiring Leonard turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Initially, he helped me with wills, POA, and some other things I didn’t know I needed; but, of course, I certainly did need them. In addition, I knew that my husband would eventually need full-time care. Leonard guided me to an excellent nursing home, suggesting I sign him up immediately as the nursing home has a 2-year waiting list. Approximately 7 months later, it was obvious my husband needed full-time care. Leonard worked with me to successfully enroll him in the facility. In order to be eligible for Medicaid assistance, a myriad of forms needed to be filled out. My daughter worked with Pat as they ploughed through this material. Pat and Leonard were at our sides, as one after another problems reared their heads. Thankfully, Pat and Leonard solved these seemingly insurmountable issues. It is due to their unfailing work on our behalf that we had a good resolution!! An almost unheard of accomplishment, I don’t think any one else would have worked so diligently, professionally, and compassionately on our behalf.
