I was living a nightmare for almost four years. I sold my home and the buyers' attorney fell for a scam e-mail, wiring my mortgage payoff to a fraudulent account at my servicing bank. All of the funds were completely withdrawn from the fraudulent account in a few days. I had no idea that any of this happened until the bank deducted a mortgage payment from my account weeks later. After my real estate attorney discovered what happened, the bank was notified of the fraud and told me not to worry, and that they would freeze the account until the situation was rectified. The buyers' attorney refused to take any responsibility, claimed to be a victim, and never notified the buyers that their home was subject to a lien from an unsettled mortgage. The local police and the FBI were notified and investigated and found that the scammers succeeded in getting the funds overseas. Everyone involved in the transaction denied responsibility and then the bank denied saying that they would freeze the account and referred me to collections, destroying my credit and putting my security clearance and livelihood at risk. I hired Tim and PLG to represent me in this matter, and when the bank refused to even discuss what had happed, he filed a civil suit on my behalf. Tim and PLG were relentless in fighting for me and helping me navigate through dealing with my employer as my clearance was in jeopardy. Were it not for Tim, I would have lost my clearance and my job. Unfortunately, there is little recourse for victims of this type of fraud and it is impossible to fight major banks, insurance companies, and attorneys without having the best on your side. I was lucky to have Tim and PLG on my side and I received a favorable outcome. Tim is passionate about what he does, seeking justice for his clients, fighting for "the little guy"! I hope no one ever has to go through what I did, but if you do, you need Parlatore Law Group in your corner!

I reached out to Andrew Mancilla on a Tuesday about a year ago seeking representation for a case of police misconduct. He asked me to call him back on Thursday for a consultation, as he was tied up at that moment. I called him back Thursday for the consultation, and it was a huge disappointment. After I clearly explained my situation to him, Mr. Mancilla asked me all the wrong questions. This was regarding the obtaining of video footage in a building and the assault I faced from a violent criminal. It was insulting this guy would ask these questions knowing the predicament I was in. First off, a true attorney knows that a civilian can’t gain access to video without legal authority, i.e. an attorney subpoenaing the footage on behalf of the civilian. This so-called lawyer was also rude when I quickly called him back to ask about the appeals process. He curtly said my case was over without inquiring why I was at that point in the first place. After doing some research of the appeals process, he’s not the guy I’d refer one to for appellate assistance. He wasted my time by berating me instead of telling me from the get-go that he only takes cases of a minimum monetary value, and doesn’t specialize in any type of freedom of information litigation. Find a Civil Rights attorney who honors your dignity, is actually a good listener, is empathetic, and doesn’t try to find a reason to blame you for the mistreatment you faced from the police. I also highly recommend seeking counsel from an attorney with decades of experience. Not to say that attorneys of that criteria can’t also be terrible, but the chances of a prospective client getting the answers they deserve and need for a legal matter is much greater. It’s not only about the credentials, trust me. Andrew Mancilla should stick to music.

Updated review. I cannot stress to anybody reading this enough: who you hire matters and you get what you pay for. Attorney’s have case after case slide across their desk. It’s a job at the end of the day to most. If Aaron Shapiro or the force that is Amanda Schaffer takes your case, TRUST THEM. Full disclosure: I am a nightmare client. On a scale from 1-10, I’m an 11 in terms of annoying. My son is my absolute world. I have been a “white pony” more times than you can imagine. Over-billed. None of it made sense. Those attorneys cared about a paycheck. Aaron and Amanda are not only EXCELLENT attorneys, they’re good people. They have a backbone. Their time is valuable. They’re not cheap. Know that. When your child, freedom, or immigration status is on the line — don’t put it in the hands of someone who treats you like a file. The legal progress is exhausting (mentally and financially — I know it all too well.) It’s unfair. Read that again.
No attorney should ever promise you a victory. Here’s what this random stranger who’s been put through the wringer for 3 years can promise you first hand — this firm cares and they’re your best shot.

I'm currently using them as representation for the class action boy scouts of America case there's been extremely low communication between client and attorney I do also understand that they have an enormous clientele but I would like to know what's going on with my case and where it's at in the litigation and like how much longer it's going to be before there's a result but with that said it's my understanding that these guys are the best of the best so I trust that they will continue to fight as they have in the past and I'm sure they will continue to do in the future

Updated review. I cannot stress to anybody reading this enough: who you hire matters and you get what you pay for. Attorney’s have case after case slide across their desk. It’s a job at the end of the day to most. If Aaron Shapiro or the force that is Amanda Schaffer takes your case, TRUST THEM. Full disclosure: I am a nightmare client. On a scale from 1-10, I’m an 11 in terms of annoying. My son is my absolute world. I have been a “white pony” more times than you can imagine. Over-billed. None of it made sense. Those attorneys cared about a paycheck. Aaron and Amanda are not only EXCELLENT attorneys, they’re good people. They have a backbone. Their time is valuable. They’re not cheap. Know that. When your child, freedom, or immigration status is on the line — don’t put it in the hands of someone who treats you like a file. The legal progress is exhausting (mentally and financially — I know it all too well.) It’s unfair. Read that again.
No attorney should ever promise you a victory. Here’s what this random stranger who’s been put through the wringer for 3 years can promise you first hand — this firm cares and they’re your best shot.

He had me sign the retainer, pay almost $7000 and disappeared. He did not show up in court saying I still had to sign a form. I never received said form and he stopped answering altogether. I cannot believe he would do this to families in need of help.
