I have known and worked with Mr. Collins since 1989. He had created my mother's living trust and then my own. Over the years both trusts were revised so we worked with him several times. I recommend him highly. And as a side note, he never walked out on us!! (per another review) Always professional, always knowledgeable.

Mr. Collins has handled my parents trust for many years. It has had to be amended a couple times for the following reasons: first my father died, then my mother wanted to give me a more of the remaining assets after she died because she has given my brother $400,000. Ironically, that last amendment disappeared. Mr. Collins is and was aware of the fact that my brother continues to take advantage of my mom who is now in advanced dementia, including taking over half her monthly income and getting her to take out a reverse mortgage after I had got her all approved on a regular home equity loan that would protect her only remaining asset (home equity). I can not believe Mr Collins did not counsel my mother against this knowing full well, my brother would deplete the remaining equity. The last time I talked to him a year ago, he berated me on the phone despite all my efforts to protect my mother. I tried calling him twice over the past year to discuss these concerns and left a message both times. No return call. I do not recommend using this attorney.

ZERO STARS if I could. John was recommended by multiple people. I paid $300 for him to tell me I have a really good case but that I should go through insurance and the mortgage company and they would help rescind the sale. I leave the meeting thinking okay this may not be easy but I have a plan of action. Come to find out everything John told me was a LIE. Both companies say that’s not an option, they don’t do that kind of thing and that it’s between me, the seller and the attorney. So it’s fine if you want to say you don’t want to take the case but don’t take my money and consult me with not legally sound advice. You said I tugged on your heart strings but really you took advantage of me like the person who sold me my house. Then I had to call three times for them to finally call me back to say they’re not taking on my case. Ha! I don’t want you anywhere near this, you already deceived me with “legal advice” that doesn’t even exist. Good for you, taking advantage of people already in a bad spot. Consulted more lawyers that said they had no idea why you would even begin to suggest the things you did. One being the one who said they trust all their clients to you when they can’t help them. Good job. And to top it all off, John couldn’t even make the call himself, sent his rude assistant because he did not want to “deal” with me. Do me a favor, if you need a real estate attorney- go to the valley because this is the only guy who is here and he doesn’t want to help. Could have had the decency to at least call me back, but I had to call three times in three days for his assistant who wasn’t apart of the meeting to call me back and didn’t even understand that I didn’t want him to take the case on. I wanted him to know the advice I paid for was not even legal advice.

Called and inquired about being able to meet and discuss being a victim of a Ponzi Scheme. Answered questions and provided information over the phone. Was told I would be contacted back in 3 days. A week and a half went by and no call back. Sent an email to get an update, etc. Two weeks later still no response. Definitely not impressed with the level of communication or follow-up.

Was blunt, unhelpful and cut me off during the final part of the very brief couple minute initial discussion we had, clearly seeing me as a waste of his time, and said "I've got to run", in the middle of me speaking. Couldn't allow for any final professional closure of our conversation and had to interject with I've got to go. Not very cordial or professional way to deal with a potential client. I felt like I was a waste of his time from the moment I started speaking to him. He never seemed to want to take the time to understand what was going on from the very beginning. Would not recommend his services based on my first impression.

I needed to do a will and powers of attorney after my divorce. I found Mr. Udall to be extremely patient with my many questions, issues, and taking the effort to understand my personal situation and concerns. He took his valuable time with me, and never gave me the impression that I was on a fast-ticking time clock.
He was prompt on returning my calls and provided all completed paperwork on the exact date he had arranged with me. He impressed me tremendously, and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending him to anyone.

I reached out multiple times and he failed to call me back. Very unprofessional. I have MetLife Legal Plans in which they will pay upon completion, if that was going to be a problem for Andrew, he never indicated that to begin with.

We had a trust done a few years ago but because the company was located in Phoenix, we decided to make an appointment with Katrina Hillman who has a satellite office in our community.

Would not recommend Hillman for estate planning services. We got documents from her that, eventually, became outdated and in need of revision. We had moved across town by then and went to other counsel to get fresh versions done--he was able to point out numerous defects in the construction of our estate plans that would have become costly obstacles for our survivors had we passed away with the original plans in effect that Hillman prepared. We feel we wasted money on her.

My wife and I recently worked with Katrina to establish a trust for our family. She was extremely helpful and knowledgable. She answered all our questions without talking down to us or talking over our heads. We never felt rushed throughout the entire process. She seemed genuinely interested in our individual situtation and preparing documents that best fit our needs. Our initial consultation was free and the final documents were prepared for a flat fee so we new exactly what we were getting and what it was going to cost before we ever had to pay a penny. I would highly recommend her to anybody searching for estate planning advice and services.

Mr. Slater did a terrible job representing me in court. He and his office secretary (wife) are non responsive and do not follow up. Every contact that was made I had to initiate. At times I felt like I was telling him things that he as my lawyer should already know. He also over charged me for very minimal services.

Paul Bartlett listened well to our situation and then took on the challenge of an area of law with which he was not entirely familiar. He researched and then did a superb job at helping us present a strong case before the federal government, who made a repetitive and costly billing error on a Medicare insurance matter. Mr. Bartlett and his associate are of high caliber and do excellent work. They were referred to us by another top law firm in Tucson who think highly of Bartlett.

My family hired and paid Bartlett after my mother's death to handle her estate. He suggested we set up a "special needs pooled trust fund" for my schizophrenic brother with some of the money left (10K). He said my brother's SSI payments would be protected because the trust would only be for extra items other than food and rent which SSI covers. This was in 2012. In 2015-2016, SSI started demanding "over-payments" from my brother to the tune of 30K stating that his trust was not allowable. Bartlett would not even talk to me without a credit card number. All I wanted to do was talk first. I fumed, then came back after a few months and said I'd pay. His answer? He "declined to represent" us anymore. I don't understand how he could have gotten us into this mess with SSI and then not have the decency to help us out - even when I finally offered to pay. I strongly do not recommend him.

I trusted this attorney because he TOLD me he knew what he was doing. He told me that I was right, and that my case had merit. I asked multiple times for an explanation of WHY he thought this would go to superior court in my favor and I never received an answer.
The judge ruled, I lost. Still, no return call from Patrick. I thhink he presented himself as too experienced, and therefore I trusted him for my case. He should have told me he knew very little about how the superior court worked. I did almost all of the paperwork myself. My papers were to be delivered to my daughter. He mailed them certified, she never got them---she isn;t stupd, she wasn't going to the post office and sign for the legal papers she knew were coming. I PAID a process server.
The only communication I have received lately was a few days ago---"the billing cycle is ending, are you going to pay?" no comment about my request. I sent my check out that day to the adress listed online for the office. It came back to my home saying "NO business at this address. I cannot figure him out.
I am not a confrontational woman, I wish he would have told me at the start that he was inexperienced and I should look elsewhere, I now need that money to do what my next step is--AT THE SELF HELP DESK WHERE I KNOW THINGS WILL GET DONE. So very unfair. I trusted him.

Hired this attorney for 3 cases were charged a flat rate to represent all 3 cases. The 1st case he lost, which was to remove a 3rd party restraining order. Representation was poor, inadequate. Only met with attorney once and we had to provide all information and do all the research and run around collecting paperwork ourselves bringing them back and forth to his office. After realizing he was not going to be able to proceed with sufficient knowledge and skills, we hired a attorney out of town. Asked for refund on the 2 other cases we paid for which his office denied to refund when he did not represent or do any work other than file to postpone date.

Very unprofessional!!! by the time I finally got through the lady just kept talking and would not let me explain my situation . she kept going on about different situations by the time I was able to get in two words then she finally stopped and said that my situation was different than what she had been explaining.
If she would have given me 2 minutes to explain and if she would have listened to what I was needing help with instead of wanting to talk the whole time maybe she could’ve been more helpful and informative.
Overall Not very happy with the service especially when we’re not able to come in . And then having to call consistently and repeatedly because you get hung up on after 15 minutes! It’s very unprofessional and seems like they’re doing that on purpose because no one wants to help the less fortunate

I would have given one star, but she did at least give me some information that I was able to work with and was able to figure it out on my own. But that wasn’t the help I was expecting

I just won my case of Child Custody which involves a lot of other things like child support, legal decision making and other issues that I don’t remember because I left all in the hands of John, who was communicative and always answering my phone calls and resolving any doubts without false expectations. John represented me in my recently settled divorce. There was a lot of complexity involved including high end real estate and a successful business.
John stuck with me. He was communicative, supportive, realistic, and just.
This was a long lasting and emotionally charged divorce. John kept his composure and helped me to keep mine.
Together, with his competent and always fantastic assistant Rosemary, we were able to achieve a fair and equitable outcome. Equitable was our goal the whole time.
John also successfully helped me to get an unjustified order of protection dismissed by the same judge that ordered it. My ex was/is tenacious and OOP's, though a very useful and justified court instrument, can be issued too easily at times IMHO.
A good family man and a very experienced lawyer, John gets my highest recommendation.

Do not know what else to say. Went through an approximately 3 year adoption/custody battle. Amy was not the only lawyer I met with prior to hiring her. Once I met her I knew she was the one to hire. At all times during this case, she was professional, expedient, and supportive. The opposing counsel tried everything possible with tons of motions. I hired Amy after my now ex-husband filed for divorce, based on a reference from a friend of mine who is also an attorney. My ex-husband was extremely difficult throughout the entire process, causing me great anxiety, but Amy exhibited a great deal of professionalism throughout the entire process. While many attorneys would get frustrated and prefer to tell you what to do, Amy was great at listening to my concerns & questions and even had feedback when I had suggestions in my case. She has been handling these types of cases for quite some time and her ability to understand idiosyncrasies in the other party was key in the settlement of my case, which was in my favor.
I highly recommend Terry Fong Law Group, but more specifically, Amy Olthouse Duenas. Her prices are fair and the quality of work was exceptional. Not only is she a great lawyer but she is truly a wonderful person.

I'm not sure what the negative reviews on this site are about, but I have had Mrs. Olthouse Duenas as a lawyer on my family law case for the last 2 years. My ex is constantly cooking up one excuse or another to drag us back to court, and Amy is always quickly prepared to counter his argument. I have recommended several friends to her, and will continue to do so. She has been equally as professional, prepared and exceptional for the work done for them.
Amy's fees are in line with any attorney worth your time. If you are looking for bargain basement representation, prepared to get bargain basement results. Anytime I have had a question or needed clarification about an upcoming hearing or document from the court, I have received a timely response from both Amy and her staff.
You will do well to hire her for any family law case.

Samantha Sue Elledge was the worst thing to happen to my emergency custody case. She was appointed by our judge. Elledge told my children they were lying about physical abuse by their father even though he was convicted of the exact crimes they told her about. She told our judge that dad should have unsupervised visitation even with DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND ASSAULT CONVICTIONS FOR HITTING MY CHILDREN. This goes against Arizona state statute. We are currently in court AGAIN less than 2 years because he held my children hostage and caused $1100 in property damage and is charged with MORE domestic violence. All because Samantha Sue Elledge called myself and my children liars. You do not want her on your case if there is domestic violence involved. What a disgrace to everyone involved.

Amy, Ms. Elledge did the same to me as a court ordered best interest attorney. I also have audio as well as emails of her helping my ex to make him appear better to the judge to take our child over proven false accusations and ignoring my ex lost custody because he abused our child when he was you younger. Please text me at 480-672-4489. Two people are better than one that have proof of who she really is. Also, Ms Elledge removes negative reviws to appear better than she is. I have screenshots of those but all were anonymous. So there are at minimum of at lease 10 others whom she has lied etc. All were women. Anyone else who has had same treatment from Ms. Elledge, please feel free to text me as well. She needs to stop raking in the money ruining lives.

I was extremely disappointed with the lack of interest and caring on the part of Paul Willman and his staff in preparing a trust. I consulted with Paul in July along with my ex-husband, Don. He assured us he could take care of the trust work we needed. What should have taken maybe 6-8 weeks dragged on for months. We were prompt whenever we were contacted for something, but no amount of prodding got the process going any faster. In the end we wrote large segments of it ourselves. Then the staff completely garbled it, causing us to have to carefully review each detail to be sure they had not messed it up again. Very bad service.

I hired Joy for a custody case with my ex husband, she was extremely unprofessional both with me and him. She milked the retainer and charged me enormous fees for miscellaneous items and "copies" and would want to call me in to discuss my case only to talk about herself half the time and have me repeat myself with information multiple times so she can charge me $250 and hour for consulting. I did not feel like she cared about the best interest of my children or me but was only trying to make the most money from our case.

Joy gave my spouse half truths throughout her representation, causing more animosity than necessary. She would not reply in a timely manner to cancel trials, therefore opposing counsel would devote a week or more in trial preparation. Accordingly, this tactic would raise attorney fees for opposing counsel and gave her access to opposing counsel's exhibits which Joy never filed. She would miss the exhibit deadlines. Joy would not give any indication she was canceling a trial and still never provided exhibits . I did not consult with her, but I had to choose "consulted" to submit this. If you would prefer an attorney that does not give you the full truth and charge you hourly, she's your person.

Mr. Beck was able to give me the best outcome/resolution to my problem. He was very kind when handling my case. I met with him several times throughout the process and he was always positive of the situation. He is very knowledgeable when it comes to the law. Ms. Jacobs served as my legal representation in family court proceedings involving my daughter being taken from her custodial parent by the state. She was honest and realistic in her evaluation and consistently provided practical and concise advice. I should also point out that she was the ONLY person involved in the situation who I never had difficulty keeping in contact with. Getting the attention of the state's overloaded case manager was often impossible, but Ms. Jacobs never failed to respond in a timely manner.
Although I had to reduce my expectations for gaining custody simply as a result of Arizona's legislative disregard for what I would interpret as "common sense" (specifically, returning a child to a parent who has a history of multiple dependencies stemming from their illegal drug usage), Ms. Jacobs empowered me to go as far as the system is designed to allow. I'm left in a highly advantageous position if the other parent ever steps out of line again.
She is reliable, pragmatic and an effective communicator.

She ignored evidence, , did not bring to the judge's attention key facts in my divorce case that cost me over 16,000 . Did not cross examine ,ask or present any prior court documents of testimony of guilt and hearings from the divorce that was done before she got hired ... Even though it would have been keep evidence that I was being verbally, emotionally and mentally abused. Gaslighting tactics and financial abuse was all present and up for grabs she was just to lazy and to busy telling me that the judge is not going to care he has made up his mind and if you don't do what he wants does not matter what I say or do you will loose. No visitation since the divorce or FaceTime... He won't even let me talk to my children.... Allowed a cluster of week "evidence" to be used as proof! Did not bring up one issue I requested . I didn't even get my service dog awarded my actual trained service dog ! Just let ex-husband request and did not mention it was even a service dog for my disability. It was the worst case of incompetent representation because of her own opinion that she should be ashamed and disbarred

Maybe she had more pressing things going on but for the few thousand dollars I gave her, I didn't feel it was money well spent. I wanted a very detailed court order so there was no confusion. I ended up getting a very generic down the middle final orders that had vauge, figure it out yourself orders. I paid this attorney to make my court orders more specific because the Mother was unagreeable. I feel she was almost more sympathetic to the respondent than to me, the one paying her. Not even a mention of attorneys fees at the end. I would probably save my money next time and do it alone. I am pretty sure I could have gotten the same results without the extra money spent.

In August 2022, I retained Andrew Gorman for an estate matter. Shortly after, he became disinterested and unresponsive. It became increasingly difficult to schedule meetings with him; and meetings that were scheduled, were often missed or postponed. During the meetings that were actually held, I found myself routinely having to cover ground with him that was previously discussed, causing unnecessary delays and expense to me. Andrew also routinely missed deadlines that he set for himself to complete on my behalf.
By December, Andrew was unresponsive for four weeks after missing another deadline, at which point I decided to terminate his representation of me. In doing so, I asked for a final accounting of charges against my retainer. In seeking a final accounting Andrew provided me with two different billing amounts against a substantial retainer that I had posted. This dispute over billing required intervention by the Arizona Bar Association and took approximately 8 months to resolve.
I felt that Andrew’s representation of me was extremely inefficient due to the fact that I found myself repeatedly having to reschedule meetings that he missed; remind him of the basic details of my case; and enduring needless delays stemming from a lack of follow through on his part to do what he said he would do. My overall experience with Andrew was poor at best.

the person handling the complaints for the Arizona bar is So unethical and unprofessional with such arrogance it's easy to tell he does this to certain people often. He said that he didn't know about any law any law about unlicensed professionals. I had to send him the Arizona ruling to prove to him that unlicensed practicing of law illegal. He wouldn't investigate and told me that he is the only one I can talk and any calls I make will go to him so for me not to try to continue to get justice. I spent 20 asking him for a supervisor Non-Stop, because he couldn't give an articulable reason his denial. He told me if I filed a complaint it's only going to go to him. No one should treat someone else like this especially if Justice hasn't been served or even investigated. If he's done this to me he's done this to a lot of people.
Since he didn't give me his name I don't know who to complain to I emailed the judge and they forwarded the emails to Tom he sent me an email saying again that everything's going to go through him but he won't give me a supervisor's name.

I have used Rita going on 20 years now. I refer many of my clients from my business to her, as well as she has handled several real estate transactions, 2 estate matters and she has completed wills for me and my wife and other family members. I have never had any bad feedback from clients I have referred to her. I feel she has been very fair in what I have been charged, in each legal matter she has handled for us.
I all ways tell anyone who uses any attorney that it will cost more than you think it will, and if you write your question or keywords to jog your memory, and stay on task you will reduce the time you are billed for. As I learned a long time ago, lawyers are not cheap and if you waste their time in their eyes, they will bill you for that time. I will say again Rita has all ways been fair in her billing.
I have learned that dealing with attorneys in the legal arena, is that the outcome is never like you see on TV, and the expectation by the average person is too high. The results I have seen with Rita have all ways been better than I expected.
Rita has gone the extra mile literally, by meeting one of my clients I referred to Rita at the clients home, as she was dying, could not leave and needed a will done immediately. Rita has also met me at the clients home to finalize a real estate transaction on a Sunday. What attorney does that???

Good afternoon all,
I highly discourage anyone from retaining services from Rita or any of her affiliates. It's a kangaroo court set up for each of the local lawyers to line one another(s) pocket(s). I donated $3,000 and received little to no counsel. Her staff isn't punctual, inefficient, and unprofessional. Please stay as far away from this firm as possible at any and all cost. In addition to that, I'm still waiting on a returned phone call from approximately two weeks ago that has yet to be returned. Once again, stay away from this place.

I hired Ms. Daninger to help me get guardianship of my partner of 7 years, Mike, after his brain injury. I was already Mike's POA and MPOA. His father, who wanted to pull the plug on Mike, was opposing me for guardianship. Not only did Rita not stick up for me or for Mike, she let the father's attorney walk all over me both in and out of court. I had to raise my hand to talk to the judge while Rita sat there silent in court, and I had to hire a second attorney to help me. This was all while I had to get an order of protection against the father to protect me and Mike from him which I made Rita well aware of. Mikey and I are both here and doing well, no thanks to Ms. Daninger.

Well versed and competent. My only caution is to hang onto your pocket book. Her firm will bill you ridiculous charges. I'm sweating out a conservatorship for my daughter. Almost half the available funds have been eaten up by lawyers fees and costs. Never dealt with someone who charges you for copies and sends you several copies of the same pleading.
