I would highly recommend Jeff Colerick as the attorney to call in Colorado Springs. I was in a car accident with my three children last year and suffered injuries to my back and neck and we all had to be taken by ambulance to the hospital. The insurance companies were impossible. A friend recommended I call Jeff. He took my case seriously and was persistent and kept me informed. He ultimately got a settlement for myself and for each of my children that was more than I even expected. We are grateful for his help.

Ron was a lifelong, personal friend of my husband who passed away in March of 2020. He became a very special friend of mine. I was at a loss at the mere shock of my husband’s unexpected and sudden death. Ron helped me wade through my husband’s Trust and all of the responsibilities that I found myself having to deal with. Mr. Ronald Brotzman (Ron) has been our legal counsel for over two decades and has really been there for us. Ron has provided council on family trusts and estates numerous times -- both our parents and ours. I have known Ron Brotzman for over 20 years and during that time he has handled a number of different legal matters for me. He is very knowledgeable about many facets of the law, especially in dealing with wills, trusts, and family law. He worked with my mother and myself in rewriting our wills and living wills, durable and medical Powers of Attorney, and Revocable Trusts. I met with David when I had not even formed my company yet and I literally will have him as part of my team for the rest of my career. An example of his brilliance was his insistence on our filing of our patents and trademarks. We were able to sell one of our trademarks (that we were no longer using) to Weight Watchers for $250,000 and that never would have happened without David.

I was extremely pleased with Kara Edmunds as my lawyer. I was in a serious automobile accident in December 2010, and she represented my claims to the insurance company. My aging parents needed updated wills and a trust for real estate, and I was referred to Dave by a friend. We had our initial meeting with Dave a few years ago to discuss their individual desires. The meeting could be described as 'painful' at best, since my parents had made decisions as to their respective beneficiaries without discussion between themselves before the meeting. There was a look of shock on both my parents' faces as they each described how they wanted their property divided. Dave was extremely sensitive to the situation when he realized there was more going on than just a standard will and trust for two people in their 80s. He very diplomatically pointed out the possible legal issues with their choices of beneficiaries and how they wanted property disposed, and also brought up in a sensitive manner the personal ramifications. After a very frank and robust discussion, both parents were satisfied with Dave's recommendations, and the wills and trust were put in place.
My mother passed away a few years after the meeting. Dave and his paralegal Brenda were very responsive to my needs as executor and trustee, which was complicated by my living out of state. They arranged their schedules so I could meet with them when I was in town. Dave was pragmatic in advising me as to what I could/should handle versus what they could do as lawyers for my mother and the trust. I got the sense that he was not looking to do simple tasks just to generate billable hours. They responded quickly to questions about forms to be filed, possible issues with the trust selling the family home, and additional documents needed by the realtor.
It is very hard when a parent passes away, and the groundwork laid by Dave a few years ago made the estate settlement process less complicated than it would have been without the will and trust. Dave and Brenda helped throughout the settlement process, from the time of her death to the trust distribution. Working with them was one of the more pleasant aspects during this trying time.

Dave Osterman is one of the finest attorney's I've worked with. He came recommended to me by a friend, who Dave had just completed a Living Trust for. Dave's fee structure was simple and he delivered far more value than I felt he charged. The Living Trust he prepared for my wife and I was incredibly detailed and covered aspects of our assets I had not even thought of. He continues to answer questions on my trust, to this day, years after preparing it. I would highly recommend Dave to anyone, particularly with a large portfolio of assets.

I retained Mr. Elmore after about a year of failed attempts at handling my home loan modification, on my own. I was facing foreclosure and was feeling a bit misled and somewhat bullied by my mortgage company. I had previously attempted to retain a different lawyer, who informed me that it was hopeless and furthermore she was amazed that I was still in my home. On a friend's referral, I called Mr. Elmore. Right from the start he was very confident, which I needed, as well as informative. He detailed what the process would entail, including my resposibilites and a timeline. Along the way I chose to file bankruptcy, which he had initially informed me was an option available to me. The banckruptcy and loan modification were both successful and I'm sleeping soundly again. There were no surprises along the way and his fee was perfectly reasonable. I'm more than happy with Kevin Elmore.

I retained Zach as my attorney as I was in a custody battle after my divorce. I had been going it alone for about six months and although I felt I had a good case, there is always the "what if" Many factors regarding my case brought me to Zach. I had relocated to another state, had a new job, paperwork to locate and file, many things had to be addressed and considered. It was overwhelming.
From the moment I made the decision to get help, I knew that Zach was the attorney to represent me. The initial conversations we had by phone were comfortable and productive. The fact that I was 1400 miles away and that I was placing my children's future and well being in someone's hands was scary at first but Zach, I felt, was the one that could get it done for me.
The biggest concern I had was that I had given him less than 3 months to prepare. In that short amount of time he compiled all the documents, filed all the paperwork, conducted the interviews with the witnesses. He did that and so much more. When we entered the courtroom I was confident and WE were prepared. In court Zach was direct, to the point and was able to "paint the picture" for the Magistrate. He asked the right questions of every witness called to the stand and when the proceeding was complete there was no "what if" left in my mind.
When the court made their decision and I received the call from Zach that we had won, I knew I had made the right call. I cannot express enough my gratitude, nor the respect I have for Zach. I put my trust in him and he delivered. I could not be more pleased.

Suzanne helped me with my divorce last year. She is professional, sharp, and extremely effective. I was able to keep my retirement accounts because she pointed out that my ex and I had always kept our accounts separate from day 1 of the marriage, and that I should be able to retain my own accounts. The judge accepted this and signed off on it, and I feel safe and financially secure as a result.
As contentious as divorce can be, she helped keep everything fair and civil. She is a wonderful person who wants to help.

It is a pleasure to compliment the legal work that Susanne Ewy has done for me.
At 92 years of age my ability to deal with Boulder (Colorado) County authorities is quite limited. When I received notice this year that my home valuation had just risen by 50% I was shocked. This meant my home real estate taxes would also rise by this same 50% amount!
Boulder (Colorado) County displayed “comparable” nearby home properties that had recently sold as justification despite the significant differences in comparisons. I engaged Suzanne Ewy to help me deal with Boulder County over this gross exaggeration.
She developed a plan, gathered materials, both statistical and visual, and, within the County-stated strict limitations, delivered my request for re-evaluation. She prepared, I think, about forty-five pages of information for the County.
The County Assessor rejected her request for re-evaluation completely, requiring her to file an appeal and appear before the Board of Equalization. She prepared me for that virtual hearing, making sure that I could hear and understand the proceedings.
Long story shortened, the BOE granted me the totality of my evaluation amount – the entire reduction of 50%. Virtually unheard of in this county. This will result in a reasonable tax amount that will have an immediate and a long-term effect on this aging citizen who has paid Boulder real estate taxes since about 1970.
My many thanks and admiration for her reasoned and effective work is unbounded.

Rose has had many years of experience with elder law and services for the elderly, including estate planning, and with how laws work in Colorado. She did my will for a reasonable flat fee, which made me feel at ease, not on the clock, while i asked numerous questions and she answered them patiently. Shari has been my attorney since May 2020 and the probate case finally closed this March 2023! I don’t live in Colorado so having to handle this all on the phone or electronically isn’t the norm. My mother passed away on January 6, 2005, and I was appointed the Personal Representative of her Estate on January 31, 2005. On April 4, 2005, the State of Colorado Department of Health Care Policy and Financing filed a claim against my Mother’s Estate in the amount of $22,000.00 for Medicaid services rendered while she was alive. She also had a couple of debt collectors attempting to get paid twice by the estate. My attorney at the time couldn’t handle a case this size so he backed out.
On September 8, 2005, I engaged Shari Caton as my attorney for my Mother’s Estate who helped me prove to the State of Colorado Department of Health Care Policy and Financing that I had received a disability on my back during active military service and that I was receiving disability compensation from the Veterans Administration. This was grounds for the State of Colorado to drop their claim against the estate and so they did. Thanks to Shari Caton and her high degree of legal professionalism, for blocking the State’s Claim against my Mother’s Estate and stopping a couple of money hungry thieves from getting paid twice.
Shari Caton is an excellent attorney with a vast knowledge of the legal system, a high degree of legal professionalism and works diligently in helping her clients win their cases. Shari is a great person as well as a great attorney who is second to none. A real WINNER!!! I very highly recommend her to anyone needing legal help.

I first met with Matt approximately a year and a half ago, when I decided to establish an LLC. I had looked a several on line, do it yourself sites and just did not feel comfortable. My mother's wish was to have my sister and I wait one year from her death to split the inheritance 50/50. As the year from her death approached I contacted my sister regarding splitting the inheritance, but she refused planning on keeping all of the money for herself and making her husband full beneficiary. My mother lived and passed away in Denver, Colorado and I live in Kansas City, Missouri. After doing an internet search, I found Mr. Frigon's site very professional, thus I contacted his office for a consultation.
Although my mother made my sister personal representative and full beneficiary on the inheritance, Mr. Frigon was successful in demonstrating my mother's wishes prior to her death to my sister's attorney in the matter. The matter finally resolved in receiving 50% of my mother's inheritance and for each of my sons to receive money towards a down payment on a home. I thought I wasn't able to ever get my license after an accident in 2006, I owed the insurance company of the other driver over 30 thousand dollars. After going through another lawyer and a lower debt with interest I still could not manage, after a year I gave up and stop all payments in 2009. In 2015 I got pulled over with no license among other issues, I knew I had to face the court and I knew I had to get a license for all the charges to be dropped. In order for me to get a license I had to settle with the insurance company and pay them so my outstanding judgment warrant would clear thus giving me the opportunity to get my license. In order for me to do that I needed a lawyer due to the fact that the insurance company I owed had enough with me and were not willing to cooperate.
I found Mr. Cuddihee online and I thought I would give him a shot and set up a consultation, I must say it was an absolute pleasure meeting him and doing business with him, I most definitely recommend him. He was able to get me a lump sum of just 4 thousand dollars with no interest, he was always very informative making sure I knew every step he was going to make. Frances Cuddihee was assigned to my case through a firm I have retained for ongoing problems resulting from a horrible post divorce situation. I have been very impressed with him so far (we are still working together). He is knowledgeable and calm and highly intelligent.
