Sara helped our family successfully navigate a difficult and divisive time at the end of my mother’s life. She is a consummate professional with a breadth of experience (I believe she’s seen it all!), knowledge, and understanding. Sara ensured that mom’s wishes were respected and when mom developed dementia, skillfully shielded her from a relative who was seeking to take advantage. Sara is clear and direct but, at the same time, kind and compassionate. Sara’s knowledge of the law and her caring approach set her apart. I absolutely recommend her without reservation.

Since my father had not left a will when he passed, what little I knew about estates was that I would need help with my father's. I contacted Sara by phone and we spoke briefly and set an appointment to speak in person. Sara was not the first attorney I spoke with but the first to interview with me. At the interview I explained why I needed her help, I also showed my limited knowledge of what was before me. By the end of the interview Sara agreed to help me through the probate process. In the following months Sara worked on my behalf with the court and advised me what was expected of me as the administer of the estate. Through the whole process there were times I felt overwhelmed with the "business" of settling his estate and sometimes became quite emotional over my personal loss. But, with kind words and a firm direction Sara kept me on track and focused. I guess that's why attorneys are called counselors. Finally, with Sara's continued support and guidance, things were at an end and the estate was dissolved. There are things that happen in life that happen to other people and you think, that's too bad. But when one of those things happens to you you think, how will I get through this. I don't know how things would have turned out with someone other than Sara, I don't need to think about it. Sara was the best possible attorney for me to have helping me with her hard work, her knowledge and experience and her empathy. I plan on having Sara help with my estate planning since having experienced this ordeal once, I do not want to leave something like this to my loved ones.

I came to Elizabeth 3 years ago with a pile of paperwork, a lot of stories and a drug addict mother of my son.
After looking through my very unorganized evidence of what’s been going on for a few years, she explained to me that I have a case. She said with honesty that this is a very “different” case considering the drugs, alcohol, mental instability, etc and being able to prove all of this.
She admitted that this kind of case is more rare than others but she would study all areas of everything going on in my case and represent me to the best of her ability.
Now fast forward 3 years, tons of court dates in front of our referee and judge, a 2 day trial and even more court dates in front of our judge, post trial. I now have full custody of my son. He is out of harms way and is the happiest he’s ever been.
Elizabeth went above and beyond. She accepted all my calls, she called me regarding issues and has fully been just as involved in every aspect of this case as I have been (which is ALOT). She has completly took it upon herself to further her education regarding the very “different” aspects of my case such as drugs, how the mom is beating drug tests while still being high, different affects from different drugs and alcohol, getting medical records showing the mental instability and much much more. NOT TO MENTION, I AM A DAD. We all know courts can be a little biased towards fathers.
Thanks to Elizabeth Silverman, my son is safe and happy. It’s been a extremely long road but Elizabeth has been here for me every step of the way. Not only as my lawyer but as my advisor and even sometimes my therapist. All while seeming like a good friend.
I would also like to add, Elizabeth only hires the best Paralegals there is in the state of Michigan. I could not write this post without saying how great they all are but especially Gina. Gina has been here for me for so much and was always just a call away to talk me through my troubles and help with anything I needed.
If you want a great lawyer, with a equally great team behind her, to fight for you, Elizabeth Silverman is number one. I’ll stand by that until the day I die.

Dear Elizabeth,
It was my pleasure to have you as my lawyer and my counselor during my divorce trial. Having some ideas that divorce is very painful procedure, yet I could not even imagine that a person whom I considered my best friend and the most closed person (my ex-wife) turned into the bitterest enemy.
Your professionalism, your excellent knowledge of judicial system helped me tremendously during the divorce trial. What impressed me, that you pay your attention to big issues, as well as to little or even tiny problems. It is your big role in Macomb County Court’s decision to award me not only with joint legal custody, but also with joint physical custody. (Later I found out that it is not often for men in Michigan to be awarded with joint physical custody.)
Based on my experience, I can advise to person who is going to get divorce, try to avoid it. If there is no way to avoid divorce, then talk to your spouse, try to solve problem peacefully.
But if it doesn’t work, I really can recommend person, who is facing divorce, use service of my lawyer Elizabeth Silverman. Elizabeth will do her best to get the very satisfactory (at least) results for her client.

Steve did my wife's estate plan (and will soon do mine). He was easy to understand, funny, and produced thorough yet readable estate planning documents (Trust, Will, Power of Appointment, etc.) His office even handled the transfer of various assets into the name of the Trist. I had the unfortunate experience of being involved in an emotional lawsuit which lasted over 4 years. When I needed a probate lawyer, another of my lawyers recommended Shaheen Imami. Shaheen was unbelievably sympathetic, understanding, professional and informative from the beginning to the end. He is also very much at the top of his game and always well prepared for court. He knows his cases to cite and takes great pains to make himself heard before the court, while still maintaining his professional, respectful and honorable demeanor. He is a great judge of character, has a quick retort which is always right on the money, and he is passionate about his work and it shows! I was upside down on my home and didn't know what to do. I was referred by a friend who had worked with Tony and highly recommended him as a real estate attorney. I met with Tony and he listened to my problem and gave me some alternatives that would save my home and save me money. I remember him telling me that his motto is "getting the client to the desired outcome with the least amount of cost". Boy he sure worked that motto for me!!! He doesn't charge for phone calls or e-mails. He only charges when he does work for me. Because of that I'm never afraid to call him with a question. This guy is the real deal and a wealth of real estate knowledge. I would recommend him.

Due to the powers at be i can not leave a negative start, this guy does not deserve one at all. I have not been a client but from the horror story i heard from my sister in law I do not want this lazy man representing me in a traffic matter. Tragedy struck my sister in law about a year and a half ago. After the claim was settled it seemed mr Kelly did not do the following up a lawyer should do, things where misappropriated left out and disregarded on her personal property that left out thousands of dollars of things that should have been recovered, this is very costly to a client in matters like this the insurance company already depreciates a lot of your items to the lowest price possible. When descriptions and items are incorrectly put in the inventory list makes it very difficult on receiving the correct amount of funds a client should receive to a life changing event to someones living situation, no-one is ever made whole by an insurance company a good lawyer recovers as much as the policy limit allows. And from the experience of my sister in law this was done and when trying to correct this issue mr Kelly ignored her put her on back burner and flat out not responsive. If this is the actions of a good lawyer mr Kelly is your man but in my opinion he needs to be more in touch with clients through out the whole claim process.
