My father and I made an appointment with Marjorie to discuss preparing a will and trust. Marjorie and her staff were all very professional, warm and very nice. They treated my father respectfully and explained everything very simply and to the point. They were always happy to help in any way that they could and were accessible by phone or email at a moment's notice. Their offices are very nice and the receptionist always had a smile when she greeted me. Her assistant was always prompt ahnd courteous, and they always made sure to follow up with us. It's a great firm, and I highly recommend all of them.

My sister and I interviewed four estate planning attorneys, with one of them being James Owens. After the interviews it was a unanimous decision that James was the person we wanted to work with. He was much more friendly and personal than the others and his prices were significantly lower. We felt extremely comfortable with him. With the others it seemed like it would be strictly business and you would be “nickeled and dimed” for everything. After we hired James, he created a trust and an LLC for our mother. He did not disappoint us. We felt like we were dealing with a friend who genuinely wanted to help. My mother also loved working with him. James will not disappoint you and you will be very glad you chose him!

I've talked about doing a trust/will for two years. I talked to family and friends, and only one person I know has done this professionally, but couldn't remember details, so I decided to let my spirit lead me. I did a google search, and came across The Marshall Law office on Eastern... (not to be confused with Marshall law on 8th St.) Anyway, Sam Marshall has videos on his website explaining about wills, trust, probate, and after getting a better understanding, I decided to schedule an appointment. My appointment was with James Owens, and after we spoke, I knew that he was the one. He is patient, thorough, and his humor made me relax through this serious process. Also, I think the price is very reasonable, so if you're on the fence like I was...Take a leap!

I'm not from the area but my 90 year old mother is, she recently lost her husband and he had done nothing towards a will. I called a few places in Henderson, and all I had was SLOW responses, misunderstood emails, and sometimes triple the price for what Marshall law did for us.

DO NOT HIRE THEM!!!!!
Contacted them to get information regarding guardianship and explained the situation and they said they could take my case. They emailed me some documents to signed and then needed me to pay $400 for court fees. I didn’t pay the $400 right away and they called EVERY SINGLE DAY early morning bothering me to pay the $400. When I finally paid it, within days they told me they couldn’t take my case because the person I’m trying to file guardianship isn’t in Nevada. Although I explained everything before hand and even called them when I was filling out one of the forms they needed me to sign. Now they are giving me the runaround about my $400 refund. Iva called many times and the attorney is always “busy” and promises to call back that day but never does. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.

I found Jeremy on the internet. He had no reviews and was a bit reserved on the phone when we first talked. I called HLC after my father passed recently. During my consultation, I spoke to Ms. Chu for over an hour. She took her time, listened and answered every question that I had. As you can imagine, in a situation like this, there were a lot of questions. A few hours after I spoke to her, I located a treasure trove of information and I would not have been able to understand any of it if she hadn’t taken her time and thoroughly explained the process and what exactly we were dealing with. She was knowledgeable, experienced and I could tell by speaking with her that she has that ‘thing’ in her that allows her to fight for her clients. She cares. Mr. Dixon helped me resolve a tax problem that I didn't even know about until I received letters from the IRS saying I owed money. My CPA looked at IRS rules and said I should pay the money because the IRS had given exact instructions on the issue. In my first meeting with Mr. Dixon, he took the time to learn all about my problem and asked for details regarding important facts unique to my circumstances. I could tell that he really was thinking through all the options before giving me several options on what I could do, along with all the pros and cons with each option. In the end, Mr. Dixon explained that the IRS rules were not the law and that the IRS was going against decisions by judges. I decided to have Mr. Dixon help me and clearly told me what I had to give him to help him do the job and explained certain things that his firm didn’t need to do and how it would save me money. I really appreciated the fact that he kept me involved in the process and let me know what was happening on my case. He always called or emailed me back when I had a question. After contacting other attorneys who wanted to charge me a consulting fee, I was referred to Alexis by a friend. I never really have understood a consulting fee. I feel the purpose of meeting with an attorney is an interview process to determine whether you believe that person would be a good fit and to decide if you choose to hire them or not. After contacting Alexis I made an appointment with her. Alexis is very friendly and outgoing. She's easy to speak with and communicates very well. During our meeting Alexis explained the benefits and protection that a trust provides. She outlined the entire process and disclosed all the cost involved. At that point I decided to retain her services. Alexis and her staff were in constant contact from that point on via email and they were always available by phone as well.
Planning and forecasting your future needs is not as simple as you made think until you have to do it. Alexis and her team clearly understood this more than I and were prepared to guide myself and my wife through it simplifying the process and easing the stress.
