I cannot recommend The Law Office of Blair Zwillman highly enough. When my then 19-year old son got his only traffic ticket a few years ago, Mr. Zwillman pulled off a miracle. My husband and I are both non-practicing attorneys and almost lost our minds when we sat this ticket. It was over two feet long and contained 6 or 7 separate violations adding up to a more than $700 fine and so many points that my son almost lost his newly minted driver’s license. The NJ cop who pulled him over was clearly on a mission to more than exceed his quota that mouth as many of the violations he was cited for were clearly discretionary and over the top.
Long story short, we contested the ticket and Mr. Zwillman represented my son in traffic court. He vastly exceeded our expectations and got the ticket down to about $100 fine and just a few points. As a former traffic court judge myself, I can attest to Mr. Zwillman’s incredible skills in working with prosecutors and judges to achieve the best possible results for his clients. He is one of the best attorneys I have ever had the pleasure to work with.

After calling multiple other attorneys, including the one on TV that will "fight for you", and being refused due to my case being referred to as "too small", my orthopedic surgeon's office referred me here. Even though I did have some contact with Tim Dinan, who was also just as wonderful, I primarily worked with Meghan Steingall. Meghan was amazing to work with, incredibly kind and compassionate, while also being professional and extremely knowledgeable. Anytime I had any questions or concerns, she, or her paralegal James (equally amazing) were very accessible by phone or email and took their time in speaking with me. My case was settled quickly, within a year, and the outcome was so much better than I ever could have imagined. Meghan fought very hard for me and would not back down until she was satisfied that she was able to get me the maximum amount possible. I feel very blessed to have found this law firm. I did my estate planning twice with Renata, once when I got married, and again after I divorced. I think she is great. She explains everything very thoroughly, and the binder that they prepare for your documents is easy to read and understand. They also provide a digital copy on a USB drive afterwards in the mail. We worked with Renata Mizak to create our Estate Plan/Wills/Trust and she was terrific. She and her associates handled the whole experience in a very professional way and explained everything clearly during the process. The will and trust documents we received are very user friendly and communicate well which is not always the case with other attorneys based on our experience. You can actually understand the documents which will be very important to your heirs someday. They put everything in a very organized binder that includes information for our Executors as well which was extremely helpful. I cannot recommend Laddey Clark & Ryan more.

I really had an awful experience with one Mr. Morris Selevan. I don’t know his relationship to Benjamin Eckman, but he has his name on a business card. He also received $500 from myself and my husband for consultation fee in which he quoted to us that we would have to give them anywhere from six to $10,000 for him to start a guardianship process and additional $20,000 to complete the Medicaid application for my mother-in-law who has Dementia, Alzheimer’s aphasia she has chronic renal failure as she also has a pacemaker and is at Cranford rehabilitation center, I thought we were being shaken down and I thought we were being handled and taken advantage of on our most vulnerable time. I have been informed by several professional individuals in the legal fields that minimum fee is required upfront and any in all legal fees would be part of the Medicaid spend down from my mother-in-law is this state so I don’t understand why this man after we gave him $500 For 15 minutes of filling out paperwork that he needs another $10,000 to commence a guardianship procedure. This is criminal and very unethical run and go the other way if you see Morris Sullivan.

If you're buying a home in Central/Northern New Jersey, you cannot have a better legal asset than Ron and his team. They were prompt with important communication, dedicated to making sure we fully understood the process of buying our first home, and were always willing to fight on our behalf. There were a few instances where the seller's team tried to get more money from us or didn't properly follow their agreement, and Ron put a stop to it immediately. Plus, he is very reasonably priced. Real estate attorney seldom get awarded TV time. The work is mostly behind the scene and, if nothing goes haywire, invisible. Ron is very hardworking and also a steady presence during trying time. Our house got under contract relative quick, but went through a number of twist and turn before closing. Ron was always calm even when our nerve were raw. At our closing day we hit an issue that if not dealt well might postpone the closing. Drawing his vast experience, Ron skillfully solved the issue and we had a clean closing.

Having had experience with several estate and elder care lawyers with my mother, planning an estate was not a task I was looking forward to. I only wish I knew about Irina Shea when my mother was alive as I could had avoided one huge “plus” headache. To begin with, estate planning is not a pleasant task for anyone when you know you are setting forth your wishes upon your demise. When my husband and I first met with Irina Shea over six months ago, we knew immediately we were going to proceed with her for a variety of reasons. Estate planning can be very contentious between partners, particularly when you have a blended family. Irina Shea is the most compassionate, smart, savvy, creative and down-to-earth lawyer I have ever met. She clearly explains different scenarios when it comes to planning your estate and provides you with options so you understand them in laymen terms. She has the patience of a saint when you need clarification; and we needed lots of explaining. She provides her opinions in supporting or opposing your wishes and postulates specific details so you can make clear and fair decisions. We also liked the fact that we were able to pay her a flat fee for her services instead of hiring her by the hour and paying for every question, phone call or email we had. She is a first class “human being” who truly loves what she does and cares for people. On a scale of 1-10, I would give Irina Shea a 20.

My husband and i have been married 56 years, we have 1 child, and own 1 house. The Surrogate said she had never seen a will with this many pages.

My husband and I attended one of Michael Bonfrisco's Seminars last year and were impressed with the way he conducted the seminar, and with his professionalism and knowledge of Estate Planning. We set up an appointment with Michael quickly thereafter. He was easy to talk to, easy to understand, and with his guidance and expertise we planned our estate. Our main concern was protecting our assests from excessive taxes and preserving them as much as possible for our children and grandchildren. Needless to say, Michael helped us accomplish that. My daughter attended the last seminar in November with us and she said it really got her thinking about it, especially since she has 3 children. I have recommend Michael to my family and friends and three of them plan to seek his expertise with their estate planning in the near future. for 10 or more years I had been trying to get my husband to agree to go to any estate planning lawyer to have a will/trust prepared. we knew very little about the whys & hows of estate planning. I had even been cutting out newspaper articles about the process for us to read but to no avail. we did attend one seminar during that period but while we learned a little more @ the process, it would be another few years before he finally took action. he had seen a notice in the newspaper for an upcoming seminar @ estate planning presented by a lawyer named Michael bonfrisco. he was finally motivated to attend another seminar. we attended that seminar in mar of 2013. he made his presentation so interesting and realistic that it felt like he was talking about us (& probably many of the other attendees). we could relate to the family in his presentation. my husband was so impressed that he scheduled a consultation (free) with him immediately after the seminar ended. when we met with him a couple of weeks later we explained exactly what we wanted to accomplish. he took us step by step through the process and provided us with a timeline. he listened to and understood our concerns, explained basic info to us, and then advised us to how he would proceed to protect our financial & personal interests by eliminating probate, excessive taxes ,& preserving our assets for our immediate family members. he explained what financial and personal info he would need b/f he could proceed. we met with him a few weeks later and fine tuned every aspect of the document to assure that it accomplished just what we wanted. two months later, by may 2013, we had signed our trust document with mr bonfrisco. over the past 20 months we have received numerous e-mail notices with updates and other seminars. we've also had need to ask several questions and have always received a quick response (w/o charge) from himself or one of his very knowledgeable staff members. we attended "our" 1st annual family legacy seminar on nov 15 and enjoyed it immensely. after the seminar he took time to answer questions on a 1 to 1 basis from the attendees. he truly takes a personal interest in all his old clients & any prospective clients. I would highly recommend Michael Bonfrisco to any of my family or friends.

Please don’t waste your money on this extremely unprofessional so called attorney. He had my case for almost 2 years when it shouldn’t of taken no more then 6 months. Not once did he called me or emailed me. I had to call and only got to speak with his secretary. They dismissed my case and he had no clue. 6 months later it was refilled only because I sent numerous emails. A day before going to court he tells me he wants an additional $1,250 when then whole case was suppose to cost $1,000. If I can give him zero stars I would. So now I’m out $800 and my case is not even done. Now I have to find another attorney because I refuse to pay this scammer.

Jay stayed the course and kept the costs as low as his could as he settled my very complex case. He told me his hourly rate would be lower than the contingency fee. HOW MANY LAWYERS would do that…. VERY FEW!!!! He offered a ear or shoulder whenever I needed it in order to get me to the next step. My case has been closed for two years, and guess what - he is still there for me and my family. I hired Matthew Feinbloom to handle my home purchase and would not recommend
[UPDATE: I would only recommend Matt if he gets more assistance with his workload, becomes more transparent in his communication about expectations and if you, the potential client, are able to stay on top of the process and proactively check in or ask questions throughout.]
I went with Matt because my realtor recommended him. Throughout the months-long process, I maybe heard from Matt three to five times. [UPDATE: By which I meant of his own initiation to inform me of things like executed contracts being ready for signing.]
He was responsive enough via email, but never seemed to actually be in my corner. [UPDATE: Matt is insistent that he has his clients best interests at heart, and I believe that he feels this way. From my perspective I just felt like I wanted someone more communicative and who would guide me every step of the way.]
On the DAY OF closing, he informed me AT SIGNING that the tax abatement I had been asking about for months had been denied. I asked when he found out about the denial, and he said 2 weeks ago. But he waited a whole two weeks to let me know?
[UPDATE: Matt has admitted that this is something he should have done sooner but stated that in his opinion this wouldn't have made a difference in whether I would have received approval for an abatement.]
I was also charged TWICE for my Homeowners Insurance by the title company that Matt selected. He asked them in writing to issue a check as a refund, but they did not, and he never followed up until I checked in more than a month later. Not to mention the many issues my lender had with the title company.
[UPDATE: Matt said that he didn't know and that had he known they didn't send me the refund he would have done something. I didn't check on the refund until weeks later because I had to deal with the administrative fallout and general tedium of moving.]
At closing, too, the TITLE DEED he wanted me to simply sign (without double checking) had the WRONG UNIT on it. The papers I was supposed to sign had multiple errors all over them, and he had to fix and reprint several sheets of paper, resulting in him being late for his next meeting.
[UPDATE: Matt has stated both during our call today and at closing in June that when I was signing the documents was the first time he had himself read them, so any errors that came up were really the mistakes of the deed and title companies, who themselves had lawyers and other people working on the documents.]
Overall, it felt like Matt had no time to really pay attention to my case. I wish I had gone with someone else. I'm now continuing to deal with the fallout of having been blindsided this entire process. I have all the documents and receipts to prove what happened. If you want to go with Matt, make sure you're on top of the entire process yourself. Otherwise, find someone else who will actually look out for you.
[FINAL UPDATE: I feel that Matt did get the brunt of my displeasure at the entire homebuying process, which was especially shitty in Jersey City. It was not Matt's fault that so much of the process was frustrating and frankly borderline illegal. The builders and developers had a part to play as well, and the seller's attorney was difficult to work with, causing many of these issues. I've suggested to Matt that his firm finds more assistance so he can have more time to focus on his cases and his clients' needs. In future, I would find a different attorney for myself, as I want someone who's more proactive about communicating with me. Matt may improve in future too, and he seemed genuinely distraught

I had a deeply troubling experience with Attorney Raj Saddah and his firm. Initially, everything seemed fine, but the situation took a turn for the worse when my assigned attorney left the firm. As I was nearing the end of my case, I chose to follow my attorney to her new firm, believing it was in my best interest.
Since then, Raj Saddah's firm has been nothing short of a nightmare. Despite having funds in escrow, they have been bombarding me with exorbitant bills and threatening me with collections and legal action. It’s baffling to me why they are trying to garnish my wages when they already hold money that should cover any outstanding fees.
I have reached out multiple times seeking clarification and resolution, but my attempts to communicate have been met with silence. It seems like my former attorney's departure has led to vindictive actions from Raj Saddah’s firm. The lack of professionalism and courtesy in handling this matter is beyond disappointing.
It feels like my situation is being used as leverage in a personal vendetta between Raj Saddah and my former attorney. This kind of behavior is not only insensitive but also highly unethical. I should not be caught in the crossfire of a dispute between a law firm and a former employee.
If you’re considering working with this firm, I strongly advise against it. Their defensive responses to similar complaints, coupled with their inability to separate personal grievances from professional service, raise serious concerns. Save yourself the hassle and look elsewhere for legal representation.

Unprofessional and predatory billing practices. My family was quoted a rate for a foreclosure of around 15,000, and the price nearly doubled. The day before filing foreclosure, the law office demanded payment for services or they would refuse to file documents my family had already paid over $25,000 for. We were then charged over $12,000 in late fees during the time we sought arbitration to clarify the unreasonableness of these fees. An arbitrator found many of their fees unreasonable - including fees for reading a blank email, and 5% flat fee for expenses without any justification. Would not recommend - please BEWARE

Frank and his brother decided to stop representing me, but didn't tell me until a month later when I asked for an update on a contact in an email. When they returned the retainer, I tried to deposit the check but my bank returned it saying the account had insufficient funds. I called asking for a new check and a lady started yelling at me saying, "No! No! Absolutely not!" which I didn't appreciate. I resent the check to my bank and it got deposited the second time, so I don't know if the issue was on their end or my bank's, but again the poor communication was disappointing.
Frank seemed to be suspicious of my intentions from the very beginning. I'm the executrix of my father's estate, and before I even got into the details he said, "Your brother may need to obtain independent representation." It was weird comment because my brother is an adult and I've never stopped him from seeking representation, and we are not in any conflict.
Additionally, they didn't like the value I put on a home I inherited (it had been appraised right before covid and I had a local real estate agent who has been in the house give me an estimate of the increase of value, which I added to the appraised value). I chose to use this value for the contract rather than the zillow and redfin estimates they sent and that's when they decided to stop representing me because they thought it wasn't a fair value, even though my brother left them a message agreeing with the valuation and they never saw the house.
Overall dealing with them was huge waste of time.

I had 3 other lawyers trying to drop some charges and avoid jail time. Which none of them could accomplish it seemed like they were all scared of the prosecutor. I wanted to share an extremely positive experience I had working with Brian. Not only is he smart and well connected but he is compassionate. I had an issue with some tenants who were law students, and thought they could leave my place in a shambles and not paid 3 months and leave their lease 4 months early. I had originally contacted Brian to handle the eviction, however he went above and beyond to try to solve this for me, and was able to obtain satisfaction out of this unfortunate set of affairs. He took extraordinary steps at his own expense. At each step of the way he let me know what was going on and even though it took a little bit longer but it's only because of the court system. I will certainly use Brian for other things I need in the future such as real estate closings or other business transactions. He is more expensive than other eviction attorneys, but he will come through for you where others fail, and is worth his weight in gold to put things in his capable hands and be able to step back, and get an excellent resolution with someone who really has your back.
