I broke my back on a boat driven by Jim Hinds of Grand Slam Yacht Sales there in Morehead City. I hired Clark, Newton & Evans, PA (Don Evans and Seth Buskirk) to represent me in my maritime personal injury case. I had already been through 2 other firms, who basically dropped my case because they thought there was no insurance coverage (it had been denied by the main insurance company). I was a little bit reluctant at first because they are mainly a transportation law “defense” firm, but since they came highly recommended, I decided to try them. They didn’t have a conflict, reviewed my case, and said they hated to see me get screwed, so they agreed to take it. It was a knock-down, drag-out fight from the beginning, and it was four years before I got anything. There were four lawyers on the other side, who tried every trick in the book, but these guys stuck it out, won all of the legal battles, and the other side finally coughed up 7 figures after 3 mediations, on the courthouse steps of a federal trial. Even after we settled, they went out after 2 other parties and got me even more money. I cannot say enough to recommend these guys, especially for admiralty cases, as they were the only lawyers in the case that apparently understood it. If they don’t have a conflict, you should hire them.

We used Don for both our buying and selling process. Buying process went smoothly. For the selling process, we had issues with the buyer's attorney and Don went above and beyond to dispute invalid charges on the closing statement. We didn't expect him to be so responsive but he was very friendly and knowledgeable. Would recommend to anyone looking for real estate closing attorney for buying or selling side.

Katie and her staff did a phenomenal job handling my separation and divorce. We were referred to Jeff via a relative of ours. Jeff and his staff could not have been more inviting. Jason is a friend from church. When I approached him for advice about a claim from an auto accident that left me with permanent injuries, the time for filing the claim had nearly expired. Jason began to work for me immediately. He made every effort to settle the claim through mediation, experiencing the same frustration I had experienced with the insurer. Jason was marvelous throughout the trial. He prepared each witness extremely well, presented a well documented and thorough case, and gave keen attention to details. Jason Page has represented me for the past year in a case which involved a piece of longleaf timberland I own in eastern North Carolina. Someone impersonated me and sold my timber to a local forest products company. Jason Page helped me recover my damages from the insurance firm representing the timber company. My mediation was completed in January 2012.
I was extremely satisfied with his help on all levels. He was available and responsive through emails and telephone calls and always kept me in the loop with regards to papers that he filed and developments in my case. His background of working in timber before becoming a lawyer made him especially valuable in my case…volumes, pricing, optimal merchandising of a timber tract…all are a bit obscure if you are not in the timber world.
But in a broader sense, this is a person who I would use for any legal matter that he is willing to take on. His honesty, prompt attention to detail, and full involvement with the case at hand all commend him. With more lawyers like Jason Page, the public impression of the profession would get a big boost.

Hired Jonathan to transfer my business from OR to NC. He was able to do it quickly and dissolve the LLC in OR. The NC govt sites arent much help in telling how to do this exactly but I am sure they would be all up your butt if you did it wrong......so glad Jonathan was able to do this for me.

Attorney Allen was very helpful in overnight advice on a debt collection matter I was facing. She was upfront and did not try to sell me on services I did not need. I contacted Harvell and Collins about an IRS issue. Mr. Foster conducted a consultation, examined my documents and listed to my personal situation. After the consult, Mr. Foster reviewed all the documents recommended a response to the IRS. I agreed with his recommendation and hired Mr. Foster to represent me in tax matter. He crafted a response to the IRS and submitted it for review. The IRS accepted each of his proposals and made the adjustments to my tax issue. I met with Mr. Cooper after attending one of his legacy wealth planning seminars. His staff was exceptionally cordial and we were very well-treated. Mr. Cooper spoke with my wife and I about our concerns, and we hired the firm to create an estate plan for us. It is very comforting to know we now have a plan in place in case one of us is disabled. The plan will end up saving us quite a bit of money by avoiding probate as well. I'm also pleased the Cooper Law Firm has a program in place to review our plan annually to keep up with changes in the law.

Mr. Gordon represented us against a fraudulent building contractor. He was tenacious against the individual. After winning in court, and gaining a sizable judgement for us, he was able to turn that judgement into a secured lein on the individual's property.
