When my mother passed away, since I was living out of state, I researched options and hired Jonathon Elgin, (JC), to handle my mother’s estate as Executor and Attorney. JC was excellent in managing all areas relating to my mother’s estate; made it very easy for me, at a distance, to know everything was in good hands. I was in a bad financial situation, with seemingly no way out. My employer recommend attorney Mr. Bayer. Not Bayer and associates which made a huge difference. When I called with questions they was answered. Calls returned, and Tina she's priceless. Most people are embarrassed because of the situation in the first place. Tina has a way of about herself that automatically makes you feel at ease. Mr Bayer does what you hire him to do and explain's your options clearly. My daughter bought a home on land contract. She paid religiously for two years but noticed the neighborhood was really declining and the property almost lost half of its value since the inception of the contract, (She paid 72,500 for the house in Jan 2013 and its now valued at 44,500). Knowing she would never be able to get a conventional loan since the value of the home was far less than what she owed, I reached out on AVVO for some quick advice ( she was just going to finish the land contract out and not seek additional financing) . I heard from several attorneys, most of which said she would be sued hugely. They said the home would be sold as a sheriff sale and what monies were owed after that on the remainder of the contract, she would be responsible for and consequently, sued for!!! I was panicked, as she is 23 years old and put all of her savings down on the home. Mr Ott reached out to me, citing an old Land Contract Law which could apply. I met with him that week. He was knowledgable , throrough and kept my emotions in tact saying this sectionaed law could apply. He was so eloquent when trying to negotiate the terms on which to opt out.
What I have learned from this is......................dont ever sign a contract without an attorney reviewing it! Mr. Ott said that we should have put a stipulation in the land contract that she would refinance only if the market value of the home was worth the owed price. Mr. Ott negotiated a cancellation of land contract professionally and with minimal monies needed by my daughter. He was upfront about legal costs and billed accordingly and more than fairly.
If you need an attorney, hire him!!!!

Mr. Ott has been helping me in a probate/potential will contest matter. He gave me good personal service and was very responsive to my questions, concerns, and needs. He did speedy research (on issues dealing with out-of-state law) and continues to monitor my case as it unfolds (or drags out), which is work beyond what I initially expected. When I ask for specific counsel, he is usually very responsive. What I like about his service is that I feel that he "has my back", i.e., he's been acting as my eyes and monitor even when very little on the case is going on.

Extremely satisfied with service from Mr Harrison. We had a confusing series of deed changes for land that had not been probated for several transfers. Mr Harrison's experience in Real Estate law allowed him to guide our local Probate officials through a lesser used section of the Ohio Real Estate law to make this property end up with the proper owner with no problems. Would definitely use Mr Harrison again, no reservations, and I gladly recommend this attorney to anyone who needs Real Estate guidance in Ohio.

I had a really messed up probate case after my mom died. It was a mess. I called around and Attorney Gasper seemed to be able to see through the mess and made sense of it all. The entire case took less than 20 days from open to close for everything. I was told by the court it could take 6 to 9 months. I mean, what else needs to be said? Attorney Gasper was awesome.

It would be difficult to choose the most distressing aspect of Julia Leveridge’s counsel. She procrastinated in completing important work, and multiple times did not return phone calls or emails in a timely manner. She did not take responsibility for errors and then procrastinated remediation.
Ms Leveridge counseled me to pay my ex’s share of our county property tax and said she would get that money back ($950). She did not.
She failed to complete an agreed entry for my ex to move out at the end of January. Then the paperwork for child support went to FCCS with an incorrect date. I paid 2 extra months child support ($1300) to get them off my back. Julia Leveridge said she would take care of it and did not. Then she procrastinated and did not file an agreed entry to fix this, for more than a year!
By that time my ex refused to sign it and FCCS seized part of my stimulus check ($850), and both my federal and state tax refunds ($3500).
That’s more than $6000 that I lost beyond the $45,000 I paid for her representation. When we got to court, this nightmare got worse quickly. Opposing counsel submitted an offer containing a fraudulent appraisal that substantially increased what I would pay my ex. Julia Leveridge’s professional counsel was to make a hasty, high pressure decision to settle, without access to time, tools or resources to evaluate that decision. I gave in to her pressure.
I’m still upset, and sorry I chose Julia Leveridge and Kemp, Shaeffer and Rowe.

There are no words to express our appreciation for Lindsay. She helped at a time when we had issues going on with both our parents.
Our Dad had dementia. It made it very difficult getting him to understand about the Medical POA, Living Will, etc...Lindsay was very patient going over everything until she knew he understood about all the documents. She also fit us in to take care of this without an appt. (what lawyer have you ever heard of would do that). Someone who has dementia you never know what the day will bring. If Lindsay hadn't been so understanding what happened next would have been unbearable.
Our father broke his hip, had surgery, went into a home and died two days before Christmas. Just 2 weeks after everything had been completed. We were able to make the right medical decisions for him, pay his bills, etc... without any additional stress.
In regards to our Mother. I had taken upon myself to get my mom on Medicaid in 2010. Not realizing that we would lose an additional 50,000. All because I wasn't informed about what documents I would need to protect my parents and future generations. I even used a regular lawyer to write my dad's will. All of which was a bad idea.
Someone I knew mentioned using an Elder Lawyer and recommended Lindsay. Which I am forever grateful for. Lindsay takes care of making sure my mom stays on Medicaid every year. She made sure we had the right Will for my dad so that when he passed. My mom wouldn't be kicked off of Medicaid.
She is also helping us take care of Probate, etc...for my dad. Taking a huge burden off my family.
We tell everyone we know that is taking care of their parents. Don't make the mistakes we did. Go To Lindsay Graves and she will protect you and their parents.

Suzanne Land and I were first introduced through a mutual friend, after my husband's death. I engaged her to assist me with matters related to closing the marital estate, which was comprised of several companies and employed over 300 people at the time.
The estate was very complicated and there were many challenges.
I had no previous experience running a business or engaging an attorney or negotiating a contract. Everything about the process of closing down my husband's estate was stressful and frightening. I was emotionally brittle and Suzanne experienced my personality shifts with grace, compassion and understanding. She was always caring and always patient.
Suzanne had the incredible ability to take very complex issues and explain them in a way that was easy to comprehend. This was so comforting to me as I moved through this process to conclusion.
Here is an example that highlights her talent. The companies in the estate were being overcharged by a consulting firm on multiple invoices over months. I asked her to review a recent invoice sent and she quickly marked the entries where the hours billed were duplication of effort and the bill was cut in half. She took the time to explain the invoice to me so I could see how those hours were logged and where the duplication occurred, so I could speak to the company with confidence when I insisted they reduce the bill by 50%. They reduced the bill by half and I saved thousands of dollars.
Suzanne suggested ways to protect my assets, revised my will, established my family and personal trusts, even created an education trust for my son to safeguard the money I wanted earmarked for college. She is intelligent, extremely competent, detail oriented and possesses the sharpest instincts in all matters of business. I feel safe because she has handled my estate and when I pass away I know my son will be in capable hands, as she guides him through this passage of life.
When you call for an appointment, she is prompt to call you back and will often come to you. That is personalized service I appreciate.
Suzanne is a great legal talent, but more than that, she is willing to go the extra mile. My son was 8 when I met her, but when he was 20 and thinking of a career in law, I asked Suzanne if she would have lunch with him to talk about law schools, answer questions and share insights from her career. She didn't hesitate to give up her personal time to meet with him and encourage him, to discuss which law schools offered the best programs, and all the opportunities he could pursue in this career after graduation. My son found her advice extremely worthwhile. He so appreciated her going out of her way to do this for him.
It is great to know people like her still exist. She has integrity, character and compassion. Suzanne is the whole package.

My wife and I met with Mr. Lyon and staff to update our wills and general power of attorneys which were originally done while living in another city during the 1980's. He also crafted for us living wills and health care power of attorney documents as well. The job was done in a timely manner, as we expected and in a courteous and professional surrounding. The cost was reasonable for a total of 8 documents ( for myself and my wife). I am glad we made the decision. There are online ways of doing these things. However, if I have a question or concern or need something crafted personally the online source will not be sufficient (IMHO). I enjoy my sleep, and knowing it was done right and filed appropriately allows me to sleep well. We have used him in the past to assist with legal documents when my wife's aunt was very ill. Job was done well at that time also. I very much recommend Mr Lyon and his law office.

I found myself in a bind when I met Mark. My previous lawyer grossly neglected my case. My prior lawyer caused me to nearly miss a critical deadline two days away, and wouldn’t even agree to speak with me until after the deadline. John Grundy was highly recommended to us by an Ohio attorney to prepare a Certificate of Trust and various documents for my mother aged 91. We live in San Diego with my mother living in Ohio. I was lost, but now I am found. After working over 25 years in the financial services industry I thought I had my finances in line. I was correct. However, the potential risk of not having a trust was an area that I overlooked. I attended the education seminar hosted by Williams, Allen, Casey LPA and learned enough to realize that I needed a plan. I was very impressed that the firm had a true process to estate planning and that it wasn’t just another service they offered. We set an appointment and we were introduced to Ray. Ray was very informative, and we met several times. Never once did my wife and I feel like we did not know what was being discussed. This is a very complicated matter, but Ray's approach makes Estate Planning easy to comprehend. It doesn’t hurt that Ray is just a nice guy and easy to talk to. I was more than impressed with both the firm and Ray with how they handled our situation and put us in a great position to lower the overall risk of our estate.

We went to an informational meeting about wills and trusts and passing our estate onto the next generation. Jessa was one of the speakers that day and we were so impressed with her and Attorney Doug Jackson that we made an appointment to meet with them about getting our estate in order. From the time we first met with her she was professional, organized, and on top of everything we needed. She answered all our questions and was quick to get back with us on anything that we had concerns with. After my parents died, I was in way over my head. They came to my home and just took all the weight off my shoulders. I turned all the legal stuff over to them. I did not have to worry about anything. They were so caring and willing to have me sit back and let them do all the work. Which they did. I just had to sign my signature.
