They really care about you and and your family members to help them though whatever legal issues in California come up. i asked for SDELC's help over 2 years ago after my aunt had a stroke and became cognitively impaired. i needed to take over the management of her legal and financial affairs and i worked with attorney scott templeton and paralegal ann roberts. both of them were very knowledgeable and helpful, guiding me through various legal processes. the two most complex issues were: (1) taking my aunt's bank to court since they seemed to want to fight me every step of the way when it came to accepting my power-of-attorney so that i could manage my aunt's accounts, and (2) setting up a conservatorship for my aunt so that i could comprehensively manage everything for her without any further legal challenges.
throughout it all, scott and ann explained every step of every process to me in a way i could easily understand. now that my conservatorship is fully set up, i'll continue to use SDELC for all of my aunt's future legal needs.
of course, i would gladly recommend SDELC (scott and ann in particular) to anyone who needs legal help for their elderly relatives!

Eight years ago, my family contracted with Teddy McNamara to amend my father's trust upon his death. Teddy's work back then assured that we returned to him eight years later when my Mom passed away. Teddy was attentive and very responsive in dealing with the administration of my Mom's trust/estate, which involved long-distance tasks/signing papers. In addition, Teddy was very available at all times (particularly on weekends and after hours), and was personable. We shared travel information, which was a welcome diversion from all of the tasks at hand! We greatly appreciated this aspect. Administration of my Mom's estate was timely and quick, which is how I wanted it to be.
The only recommendation I would make is that documents be reviewed a bit more thoroughly before going to the client, i.e. spelling and correct names. A quick re-check before sending documents out would probably suffice.

Webb Law helped me with a simple matter, it went smoothly with the other party and required about half the estimated amount of effort. Webb Law inflated the billing hours to consume 100% of the retainer. A planned meeting with one $250/hr employee was attended by three people billing nearly a combined $1k/hr, their attendance was not necessary and did not add value. Sending me a boilerplate document was billed at 2 hours. I contacted them about my concerns and they dismissed them and offered legal mediation as the only resolve. If you choose to use Webb Law be very clear about who you are meeting with, what their cost is, and how long it will take.

Like a lighthouse when your coming in from rough seas a "Great" lawyer can you give you the confidence that you can make it safely to port. Rhona Kauffman is that kinda of lawyer.
I hired here twice for two cases that were particularly troublesome for me. She returns calls in a timely fashion. Actually listen to my concerns and counseled me in a fashion that was not demeaning but clear and concise without sugar coating.
Rhona has a very professional demeanor but at the same time you feel that you are getting the same advise that she would give her own brother.
Monetarily I never felt like I was getting over charged and that I was receiving the best service.

I must say that I have never been in a situation where I even needed a lawyer to represent me and guide me along what I needed to do. But Nicole Heffel made the whole "rather unpleasant" ordeal a breeze. Having been accused of "assault and battery" and having a restraining order filed against me, Nicole was awesome in gathering the facts, witnesses, documents and held my hand through the process. She kept me informed of what could happen ... but in the end ... we came out smiling. The full restraining order was dismissed and, as of today, I've heard nothing more from the person that accused me. I learned a lot in this process. Nicole Heffel is definitely one fine lawyer.

Nicole is truly amazing at what she does. I called her with a rather complex issue, which she took the time to talk me through. She was never in a rush and helped me to understand every angle that I was facing with the situation. She really helped me understand what I was walking into so that I could make an informed decision and explain it to everyone involved. My wife and I engaged the services of Nicole earlier this year for two reasons: 1) to create our estate plan document and 2) to help me navigate the VA system for a disability claim. We immediately felt that we were in good hands on both fronts. Nicole is extremely competent in both areas. As a small business owner, I've put off needing an attorney for as long as possible. I was referred to Matt by another business owner and I couldn't be happier with the work he did for me. My husband and I contacted Adam in 2015 to prepare a Family Trust for us. We were so comfortable working with him. Adam made a very cumbersome and somewhat intimidating process easy for us. He explained things in terms we could understand, was professional but not stuffy, and always prompt with getting us the information and documents that we needed. Mr. Malloy prepared a complete trust package for me, including a will and advance health care directive. I chose him because he was recommended both by colleagues and clients. I found him very easy and comfortable to work with. I was very satisfied with the work that he did.
He even makes housecalls for her elderly clients who find travel to his office difficult. Mr. Malloy works very well with clients, who due to their age or condition, are sometimes difficult (and crochety). He is very patient, answers all questions completely and returns calls very quickly. I have been very pleased with his help for my parents and my husband.

Damien was originally my Father in Laws Attorney. He helped him amend his Will about 10 years ago.
My Father in Law lived in La Mesa, California, though originally from Southern California, my wife and I relocated to Alexandria, Virginia.
My Father in Law died last December,
He had seen at least one attorney, after Damien. His will had been amended in the last few years, at the behest of his caregiver.
He died at 99 leaving his entire estate to his caregiver.
We were struggling to keep our own home and Business. How we would find the money and time to fight this woman we couldn't even begin to imagine. Feeling all but hopeless we reached out to Damien; and he reached back!

Damien Snow has a very quick grasp of facts; you don't have to explain a lot. We got a lot accomplished at every meeting. He has a good staff too. I liked his approach that the client can do a lot of the simple things by himself with a little guidance. Damien will take over when you get to the more complicated stuff, but he doesn't insist on doing every little thing because only an attorney can do it right. He is very generous with his time on the telephone and very fair in his billing practice. My highest compliment is that he shows empathy for clients. He puts the legal problem in perspective and encourages the client to get back to enjoying life. That's icing on the cake.

Ashley worked on my case with another attorney. I met Ashley the day of the court hearing, and she was very professional. We talked about the legal issue that I had right in the court house, and from there she worked her magic. She is definitely on your side and will 100%. I needed an attorney to assist with a pseudo-domestic issue and Ashley was extremely professional, diligent, and helped to keep the costs down as well. Her legal advice was concise and understandable to someone such as myself with little to no legal experience in this area.
