Alexandra was wonderful to work with. I was in a motorcycle accident last year and was getting pushed around by the at fault insurance co. Alexandra explained everything to me helping me understand all of the logistics along the way. All in all, I ended up getting my motorcycle fixed, all medical bills paid and even a little money left over to cover any needed future physical therapy etc. I would highly recommend her if you are looking for a great attorney.

After going through quite a lengthy ordeal with a car accident, I finally decided to hire Alexandra. Not having worked with any attorneys before, I had no idea what to expect. Alexandra educated me by breaking down an intimidating process and judicial system into something comprehensible and digestible for me, walking me through every step of the process. I knew she was an advocate and had my back when she provided confidence, courage, and energy, when I thought I had none left to give. Alexandra helped me get through a long process, one that I never thought would end. I would definitely hire her (though I hope I don't need too!) if I was in another car accident.
The only thing to note is that she is a start up and has a small team. This means she's personable, relational but sometimes is really difficult to get in touch with and coordinate schedules. It was a periodic challenge but nothing concerning as I had the utmost confidence that she was taking care of everything that needed to be sorted out.

I sent this attorney an email one week ago. I waited several days and did not receive a response. I then emailed him directly through his firm's website and did not receive a response from him or from a representative of his firm. I understand that he could be busy or not taking new clients, but it would have been courteous and sensitive of him to at least briefly email me and explain so - and perhaps offer a referral to someone who could help me.

We are contemplating a move back to Washington state where we lived for many years. Without proper estate planning we would potentially be subject to the Washington estate tax. n our initial contacts with the firm, we clearly identified that we were residents in another state. We were instructed to provide our detailed financial picture as well as our current estate planning documents which we provided promptly and told that our information would be forwarded to the attorneys for evaluation. The following is the email response.
“Thank you for filling out and returning your Questionnaire.
I will forward your information to our attorneys for review. Once they have completed their review, I will be back in touch with you regarding a quote for services and the next steps for scheduling.”
Well over a month went by with no word back from STIB. I finally contacted them by email requesting a status update. Within minutes, I received the following reply.
“Thank you very much for contacting our firm. Unfortunately, we are not able to take on your case. Our firm does not advise out-of-state residents on tax issues. Our focus is estate planning and long term care planning.”
The STIB website clearly tax issues as part of estate planning. I also found no restrictions on attorneys in Washington state providing consultation to out-of-state residents considering residency in Washington.
Needless to say, I was astounded by what I consider to extremely poor communication and timely follow-up. If it is indeed not their policy to advise out-of-state residents on tax issues, I would have expected to have been informed of that policy up front thus saving us the time of compiling and sending detailed and confidential financial and estate planning information. In my opinion, this represents incompetent and totally unprofessional behavior.

It’s quite possible that if you know what to ask or what’s happening that they will be great for you, but for me I ended up with a $120 invoice for two emails I didn’t understand what to do with, going to look for someone else to help us setup out family will.

They put you through an inital intake process which is positive. I wanted a quick end to my divorce and was happy to compromise to make it happen. Our goals seemed to align.
Unfortunately this firm provided poor council during the first phone call with the attorney. Luckily this did not lead to a financial move that would have put me in violation of a court order. Later the attorney wanted me to provide documentary evidence he had previously advised against in an aparent 180. Such documentation was previously claimed to put me in legal liability. What can I believe?
Very disappointing.
Divorce is tough enough. I hired an attorney becuase I am no legal expert and I wanted a quick, mediated end to my marriage. Instead I get bad and changing advice. Plenty of good reviews of these guys. Hope I'm an outlier.

I learned of Laura by referral from a local mediator. In 2016 I began working with Laura to initiate my divorce and reached successful settlement in September 2017. Initially I thought I could fill out the court forms independently, but soon realized there were far too many questions for me to answer on my own. At that time, I chose to hire Laura with unbundled services, where I took the lead on filings and meeting my own deadlines.
Laura did a fantastic job asking the right questions (at the right time) to understand my case situation. From there, she provided me the correct forms to draft on my own, listed the supporting documents I needed to obtain, and helped me take the practical steps toward a temporary living situation. I was able to save a lot of money by gathering my own supporting documents and draft the court forms. She suggested helpful/necessary changes to my work, kept me organized, identified all the required steps, and provided helpful reminders.
Afterward, Laura and I have kept in touch regularly over the last 6 years as she answers questions I have from time to time. In 2021 I hired Laura again, but with full representation since I was busier at that time. Laura took the lead in my case and carried a lot of the work which I am very appreciative for. We worked together easily and successfully, reaching an agreed settlement in January 2022. I am very pleased with the outcome for everyone involved. My sense is that everyone enjoyed working with Laura, not just me, but officers of the Court and opposing counsel!
Like so many people, I work hard for my money and care about my family so I want to hire only those who I can trust, and Laura is certainly one of the people I trust most. In addition to possessing strong technical skills, strategic instincts and a vast base of legal knowledge Jill has an innate ability to make difficult situations more manageable for everybody involved. Her calm and measured approach to problem solving is contagious and her concern for the well being of all participants obvious. Jill's counsel extends beyond matters of legality. When dealing with complex estate matters she is great at considering the needs and personalities of each of the family members involved. Her advice leads to good outcomes that leave our family members feeling personally satisfied in addition to professionally successful.
I would recommend her more strongly but do not want to share her services with any other clients.

I read the great reviews and am currently going to this lawyer to get my estate planning done. It is mid-March and my first meeting was in December and things are still not completed and I have no expected delivery date. I have a very simple estate. I'm not sure if this is the usual timeline for lawyers, but I think things are moving too slowly.
Also, beware to get fees clearly explained up front. I was told one thing on the phone; that the initial consultation was free. Then I received a bill for that service. My fault for not getting it in writing intially! Please learn from my mistake and protect yourself. I am trying to get the estate plan completed so that I can put that fee towards the total bill and have something to show for it instead of an expensive consultation that was supposed to be free and no estate plan.

I was involved in a collision with an uninsured motorist in Fall 2023. At the advise of a friend, I contacted Andrew Cherin to assist me with the claim mediation with both my auto insurance and my health insurance. He was able to claim me the maximum payout from my auto insurance, and got my health insurance to waive any reimbursement out of the auto claim! I am positive things would not have gone as well as they did without his help. I pray that I never need his services again, but for sure know that he's the one I would call if I do!

I contacted Mr Olson after months of trying to deal with my employment problems on my own. He took the lead the day I first met with him. Mr Olson and his assistant kept me informed every step of the way. Having worked previously in in various law firms I know how busy it can become, but I was very impressed with the fact that I received responses to any of my questions in a very timely manner. We hired this firm twice this year, to assist with a house purchase. This firm is in network with the legal plan associated with our employee benefits. I found the whole process very easy. Never have been addressed formally as ‘mister’ so much, and I think I like it. The lawyers and other staff were responsive and competent and patient with our many questions. They worked well with our real estate agent. Why would someone not want to hire a lawyer to help us navigate the biggest purchase of our lives? Five stars.
