I appreciate S.L. England so much! He really helped me every step of the way! If there was anything , I mean anything I needed, he was there to help. If I didn’t understand something, he made it very clear for me to understand. He helped in every way possible. I was super nervous, paranoid, everything you can think of and all he said to me was “ I got you, don’t worry!” And surely enough I DID NOT have to worry at all!
He always had a solution which was helpful on my end and he is just a very understanding person!
Overall, I personally feel as though he is one of the best Criminal Defense Attorneys in the DMV. Hands down. I would recommend anyone to hire him!

I paid a retainer for consultation and the drafting of a letter of reply to a not-for-profit organization that was attempting to collect on a claim of a twenty-year-old debt incurred in a European country. Mr. Sternberg took the full hour to listen to my situation and position on the matter, answered all my questions, and left me with a sense of confidence that he was experienced and capable of legally handling my matter. His assistant, Mr. Martz, drafted an eloquent and robust response, which the other party continued to dispute, and I have retained their firm for whatever come next.
I greatly appreciated their responsiveness; they were timely and set up the first consult within a few days of contacting them and the letter they drafted was sent out in a business week. I also felt that they listened to me and took the time to explain the matter to my satisfaction. They often caveated their statements, as many legal matters cannot be fully defined, it depends on a multitude of controllable and uncontrollable items, and they were diligent in ensuring that they understood what I could expect and what the most likely (but not guaranteed!) outcomes would be. Lastly, they took the time to reach out when this process was upsetting or making me nervous and ensured that we were progressing in a manner that was organized, coherent, and deliberate as opposed to making hasty, snap judgements.
I would unreservedly recommend Mr. Sternberg for anyone that has a civil matter involving real estate and international law.

I am a father of two kids and a project manager. My divorce was the first process in my life that I had no idea how to manage despite having a career working with people and two advanced degrees. My (then) wife simply dropped all communication and I could not get her to talk about the roadmap for separation and divorce even though we still lived under the same roof (and it was her idea). After being in this situation for over a year, I was getting depressed. I had consulted an attorney who had recommended me to just give my would-be-ex everything that she wanted.
Then I found Ms Moheyer's support group and it changed my life. Every other week, for years, she has led this call-in forum for fathers at different stages of their divorce situations - pro bono, as community service! That group gave me the knowledge of what's possible and the confidence to be able to move things forward. In addition, I took an online workshop (the best $100 spent in my life) and got the tips on establishing dialogue with the partner that leads to re-establishing the degree of mutual trust enough to complete the divorce. Several month later, we were able to nail down some bullet points that were appropriate for us and helped us avoid litigation.
We filed for mutual consent divorce with property separation and shared custody, and several more months later this was done. I still can't believe that in a matter of nine months, Ms Mohyer's support group and her workshop resources helped me get from a very dark place to personal freedom, stamped and approved by the court in MD.
I still attend the support group to discuss the challenges of co-parenting, and this experience is invaluable. Here is why I would recommend this attorney:
*she never pushes services on you. Instead, she lays out the options and I saved a lot by doing the things I had an option of doing the prep work by myself (like collecting some paperwork) that another attorney would have done at a handsome hourly rate).
*She uses psychology to provide tools that enable some kind of dialogue between parties, making the process less painful and less expensive.
I have recommended Ms Jennifer Moheyer to a number of friends, and now that my divorce is in the past and the "paper is dry", I hope someone in a similar situation (in DC, MD, VA) can get assistance.

I have had two DCPS disputes and I have worked with Mr. Atwell on both, he has assisted me in understanding and breaking down the problems that had occurred. Our financial advisor Nathan Garcia provided referral to Kyle Epting to review our estate planning legal documents. We took the opportunity to have my mom participate so we both updated several legal documents. Kyle was exceptional and helped guide us to additions and subtractions from prior documents. Dorene represented me when I had to go to court to evict a tenant. I am just an individual landlord, and don't have some massive company or anything, so for me this was a somewhat emotional process. Dorene knew the ins and outs of landlord/tenant law in DC, and really made me relieved to have her on my side! She was very responsive and made me extremely confident that she knew exactly what she was doing. Also, since she does this a lot she knows the reputation of the various judges, mediators, etc and knows a lot of the people you will deal with in the courthouse. Also, I found her services to be affordable for me and she doesn't nickel and dime you for every question (phew!). We had a perfect experience with Robert Bullock and Abigail Wolf from ELDC. Let me tell you how I got there. It started in the overcrowded sitting room of another local elder care law firm…
I was the youngest person in the room by 30-40 years, and I was in the room for totally different reasons than everyone else. They were there to learn how to manage your retirement funds so that when it’s time for you to move into assisted living or a nursing home, you can get Medicaid to pay for your bed. I was there to figure out what I needed to know and do in order to ensure that if, God forbid, something should happen to my wife and me, our son with special needs (he has a profound physical disability with no cognitive impairment) would be properly taken care of (e.g. medical, nursing, caregiver support, college, spending money, etc). My ideal scenario was to wrap up all of our resources (financial accounts, retirement, possessions, life insurances) in a tidy way such that a legal “key” could immediately convey to whomever we designated as our son’s caregivers...with no interruptions whatsoever to his high level of medical support.
I didn’t learn much about my particular situation from that session (though it was very informative if you want to figure out how to keep your retired husband from buying that pool he always wanted after you’re gone, or from spending your grandchildren’s inheritance with the new pool girl that came with the pool!), and I began to sense that I needed to find a specialist with personal experience in special needs. Enter Robert Bullock. Recommended by a friend of my son’s physical therapist, Robert has a lifetime of experience in legal matters related to all areas of special needs.
Because of our son’s medical needs, my wife and I have trouble getting out of the house. Robert easily accommodated this need via a meeting over video teleconference. He also immediately understood our goals and motivation and began helping us understand the process we would need to walk through in order to make that vision a reality. He was very generous with his time and with dispensing timely insights that were helpful for a young couple still starting out on our journey with our son’s special needs.
When Robert directed that our case be handled by his colleague Abigail Wolf, we wondered what it would be like to work with her. She did not disappoint! Efficient and comprehensive, Abigail struck a perfect balance between giving us the space we needed to work through the sometimes extensive paperwork we needed to fill out (something which can be tricky to find time to do, when you’re juggling a lot of home healthcare needs) and helping us stay on track with working towards our goal of getting it all squared away before the end of the year (mostly by checking in periodically to see if we needed any assistance). When all was said and done, we had completed wills, Advanced Medical Directorives, and Power of Attorney documents for both my wife and me, as well as a Family Trust for our family and a Special Needs Trust for our son. All of these are precisely configured to ensure that, if something happens to both of us, all our financial resources will be at the disposal of our son’s caregivers.
When the time came to finalize the documents, Abigail took care of everything. We reviewed and signed everything in our own home, with the help of a courteous and efficient notary (also scheduled by Abigail).

I retained Randy for a potential employment dispute I was having with my former employer. They caved at the last second, but he provided tons of excellent advice and guidance. He also didn't immediately put me on the clock, or want to charge me for the initial meeting like most other attornies wanted to do.
