I hired Attny Follett to help guide me and prepare the necessary paperwork associated with Estate Planning. Having lost my mother abruptly earlier in the year, I was overcome with what would happen should I fall ill, or pass. Who would have access to help me? Who would control, distribute, manage my estate. There were several sensitive issues to consider, and Attny Follett managed them with compassion and sensitivity. She was sure to 'dumb things down' (my term) for me, when it felt over my head. I was in the midst of grieving, quitting a job, recently moved, etc, so this was an added stress that could have been just too much. Final outcome was not as expected. Seems like our attorney, Travis West was in over his head. Our group paid a lot for not much. We did reach a settlement agreement however that was breeched and there is no recourse except to pay more $ to the attorney even though they were supposed to make sure the settlement agreement was written in a way that would be very difficult to breech.

Attorney Kilkenny represented me in a landlord/tenant dispute. He was recommended by another attorney. At first I was a bit apprehensive about hiring such a young attorney but Attorney Kilkenny has proven that honesty, intelligence, and a strong work ethic can provide excellent results. I was originally planning to spend $4,000 on attorney fees but he was able to negotiate a deal with the landlord and reduce it to about $1,000. He's willing to do what is in the client's best interest rather than what is more profitable for himself. His hourly rate is also very low for the caliber of his skills. I've used attorneys at large law firms in the past and have found that they sometimes don't have enough time to dedicate to my case. Attorney Kilkenny, however, promptly responded to all my calls and emails and I can't recommend him enough.

In 2015 I was dealing with a very difficult business situation. I made a phone call to Mark's firm and within 24 hours he was immediately helpful and began walking me through the short-term steps that I needed to take. Over the next few weeks he helped me understand my options in a professional and respectful manner. I appreciated that Mark helped me evaluate the options and ultimately the decision was mine to make. I could be right (more expensive) or I could take care of things in the most cost efficient way. I appreciated that Mark was practical, responsive and respectful especially knowing that in comparison to other cases/clients mine was not as lucrative, however, I always felt like I was given a high level of respect and service. I think Mark treats everyone fairly, no matter how big or small your need, challenge or case. I was grateful that he had my back. I was referred to Atty. Lendu Johnson by a pro bono UI lawyer in Madison. She took my case last minute, and she did a great job. I was accused of concealment and was looking at having to pay 17K including 40% fees back to UI and a possible felony charge. I was terrified, but Jill has the most calming and optimistic personality. She coached me the weekend before my appeal and it helped me to feel confident, know what to expect from the process, and how to answer the judge’s questions honestly and competently. She also helped me understand that I had other options (appealing to LIRC) in case we lost. We’ll we didn’t! No concealment, and I ended having to pay back 3K instead of 17K. She is not expensive for what she does, and her help was worth every penny. If you have a UI issue, I highly recommend Atty. Jill Lendu Johnson. She’s wonderful! You won’t regret it.

Roy has been my attorney for almost ten years now. That’s when I started my business and connected with attorney Hegard. By far the best business decision I could of made. As nerve racking as it can be starting a business Roy stated the pro’s and con’s in a calming manner with such expertise. I never felt rushed or forced out of are meetings because there was another appointment waiting. Like most attorneys give you an hour time slot but cut you short 15mins because next appointment? Not with Roy, if he offers you the time you will get all that time. He will even answer the phone if you call, and if you have to leave a message he will call you back! Roy treats you like family and he had never let me down once! My wife was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease and I knew that at some point in time I'd need financial assistance so my retirement savings won't be totally depleted. With our health care support changing rapidly and minimal support from our county ADRC, I needed somebody that has the knowledge of the Medicaid regulations. Carol Wessels presented several classes to an Alzheimer's Support Group and gave me enough information to think that we might be approved for Medicaid assistance. She gave me the guidance I needed to gather the information for her office to complete the application and respond back to many additional questions that came back from this application.
