When I was going through my divorce this past year, Tawyna was the right person to represent me. She was all business and fought for me like no lawyer I have ever had. If you need a strong lawyer, that has your back, and always thinking about you and your needs, she is the lawyer you for you.She saves me lots of money and was always very professional and matter of fact. The billing retainer was very reasonable in which my ex spouse spent three times more than my case. I didn’t have to be pay my ex spouse attorney fees, which saved me tons of money. Tawyna is the lawyer you need and would be foolish to go with someone else. Will go to battle with her again in the future. Her legal team is amazing and the model of professionalism. If you need a lawyer, better call Tawyna!

I was referred to Tawnya by The Alexandria Bar Association (ACBA) Lawyer Referral Service, for my uncontested divorce.
I arrived at the office for my consultation appointment. The receptionist (a gentleman, didn't catch his name) didn't tell Tawnya that I arrived. 10 minutes later, she came out, and was surprised to see me. Unfortunate, but fine. Now we can begin.
We get to her office, and the conversation went thus:
What's your situation? I'm getting a divorce
How long were you married? 6 years
I sent you paperwork, you didn't complete it. Yes I did, I emailed it back to you.
Do you have a signed settlement agreement? No, she won't sign.
Did you send that to me? Yes, in the same email.
Oh! There it is.
I was beyond frustrated. I booked a 30 minute appointment, and the majority of it was eaten answering questions that I had already provided answers and documentation for when she requested it 4 days prior. I was very thorough, to avoid this exact scenario. I wanted this meeting to be productive. It wasn't.
She talked me through the process, answered a few specific questions I had brought with me, but ultimately, nothing I couldn't have found online. Very disappointing experience.

A divorce, even uncontested, is hard on a family and difficult enough without dealing with an unresponsive, slow-moving attorney. After over a year of delays and excuses, I fired him and followed up on a recommendation to contact Grenadier, Starace, Duffett & Levi P.C. Carolyn Abbate thoughtfully explained the steps and court processes. Recognizing my desire for a harmonious post-divorce relationship, she helped smooth out issues that could have become points of contention. My home was facing foreclosure after my financial situation went from better to worse, and I decided to give Andrews Law Firm a call after I received a "SAVE YOUR HOME!!!!!" advertisement letter from Andrews Law Firm, amongst others, and I was very satisfied with how quickly Andrews Law Firm handled my Chapter 13 bankruptcy filing in just a moment's notice when I had next to no time left on my side as far as trying to work out another mortgage loan modification arrangement with my home's mortgage company and still make all my credit cards and personal loan payments too. The Andrews Law Firm support staff was very nice and patient and worked late into the evening on a weekend to assist me prior to me receiving consultation from Attorney Tommy Andrews and signing a few forms, and after my case was electronically filed in less than twenty-four hours, Attorney Derek Bathrick was assigned to handle my case, and he represented me from there, setting up a Chapter 13 bankruptcy five-year payment plan and keeping me in the legal loop with emails, letters, and calls always. It felt a little awkward at times, and later on I experienced some personal setbacks due to some unforeseen circumstances I encountered, which were handled and fixed along the way, but five fly by years later, today, I have a fresh start, and I am still in my home thanks to this miracle-working Andrews Law Firm.

Fred and his team are seasoned professionals. I had multiple issues with a vindictive woman and we were awarded the divorce (even though the Ex bought suit), We won a Custody Battle when the Ex wanted to pull my children out of state, and the Team just got my Ex to sign a $40,000 2 party IRS check that she refused to sign for 6 months. I reached out for a consultation in the Morning Mr. Tortolero called me later that same afternoon. He was very friendly and professional but not like a stuffy professional. I was rushing I thought he is not being paid let me get right to it! It was quite the opposite, I felt like I was his client, he was patient, knowledgeable and extremely honest, transparent and supportive as if I was his client. He was like a cheerleader. He shot me down if he thought my suggestion was not going to fly in court he did not sugar coat things, I appreciated that. He was honest about the cost he did not lie and say oh it will only be x amount and I will have this done in no time. I used Sean to help me upgrade my OTH discharge. On our first visit, Sean was extremely professional and caring. He listened to my story with full attention. We went over my medical, mental and personnel records and made a timeline from when I first joined to when I left the service. Eventually, we put together a well designed case to submit to the Naval Discharge Review Board. I was not expecting it, but Sean was able to upgrade my discharge to full Honorable from an OTH. Even after opening up his own firm, Sean stay true and kept me up to date on my case. I cant thank Sean enough, it has been a long journey but I finally got the discharge that I truly deserve. Donne Colton was referred to me by a therapist who provides court testimony regarding the welfare of children in divorce cases. I sought the therapist's attorney recommendations because I wanted an attorney who had earned a stellar reputation for negotiating and writing divorce and custody agreements in the best interest of children, and I got that and much more when I hired Donne to represent me in my contested divorce in 2015-2016. My custody case was extremely complicated and contentious, and Donne did an outstanding job of navigating me through it.
I worked with him and with his excellent paralegal, Margie Madsen, for a solid year. When I was researching attorneys and collecting recommendations, a high-powered attorney connected to a family member of mine sent her an email saying that his divorce attorney "was the best thing about my divorce." I would wholeheartedly say this about Donne and Margie. These same agreements have helped me navigate challenges I've had with my ex-husband in the many months since our divorce was finalized. The agreements provide a solid foundation for me to refer to, and excellent boundaries for us to live within.
I honestly can't think of any area in which Donne fell short of my needs or expectations. I feel very fortunate that he was able to take my case, as I could not imagine having had a better attorney to work with.

Words really can't describe the level of professionalism and expertise Attorney Wade possesses. I had a nightmare divorce/custody case that carried over from North Carolina for a total of four years. I hired David to draft a prenuptial agreement and am very happy with the result. He did a great job making sure that it reflected exactly what I (and my future spouse) wanted our agreement to state, and he did it in a very timely matter.
