I hired Jennifer Rose to helping me keep custody of my 2 girls and she did an amazing job in both representing me and showing care and compassion towards me AND my kids. My child's mother had made some heinous false allegations against me and several attorneys I met before Jennifer told me my case was unwinnable. Jennifer not only told me it was a possibility to win she did it with such ease that I'm still scratching my head as to how she managed to pull it off. Anybody fighting for custody shouldn't walk, they should run to hire this lady! I'm beyond happy with how it turned out for me. Highly recommend!

In rereading the posts on here. I personally had many similarities to the challenges people spoke to on these reviews. I never met the attorney in person. Like others have mentioned they take your money and you have to chase them down then they leave you. In my opinion my experience with this firm is the epitome of the negative stigma on the Industry. Would not recommend.

I literally just called to set up my first consultation I told the receptionist to please be patient while I had a issue with my account I was literally transferring the funds to another account and she told me to call back when I had the money. That was so rude disrespectful, racist, and unprofessional I have enough to pay my retainer fee in full I wasn’t asking for a favor . Inonly needed 10 seconds of her time to make the transaction Company loses in the front line for poor customer service.

Shaun Capps was the attorney for our car accident case and if I could give him 6 stars I would. The amount of work that he and his team put into our case was astronomical and we cannot be more happy. Everything settled very nicely, he navigated deductions with all the medical providers, was honest and up front, and we were able to come out on the other side better than ever. 10/10 would recommend him and his team every time.

On February 21st, 2019, a large pickup truck speeding through a parking lot in Huntsville, AL broadsided my car, totaling it and causing serious, multiple injuries to me. The initial court case was scheduled in September, 2019. Four continuances by the defense delayed due process until late 2023. A settlement offer concerning my uninsured motorist insurance was negotiated by my initial attorney. I refused the low-ball offer and the attorney withdrew from the case telling me, “it would be crazy not to accept that offer” among other disparaging comments.
After calling several firms which rejected my case, I was referred to Drake Law Firm by an attorney friend. Attorneys Mr. Whitt Drake and Mrs. Mary Amari Bruce reviewed my case files and decided to represent me if they could get a continuance. It was granted and Mary Amari Bruce, attorney took the lead. I had a few telephone conversations with her over the next year concerning all the documented facts of the accident, depositions, and my medical records. She asked me what amount I would settle the case for and to write a short summary of how I was affected by the accident.
In summary, Mary Amari Bruce, Attorney presented the case to the lawyer for my insurance company in an intelligent manner that persuaded him to accept our demand to settle prior to the upcoming court hearing. The settlement amount increased from the previous lawyer’s low ball of 19% to Mary Amari Bruce’s settlement of 86.5% of my UIM insurance coverage. The facts were always there, it just took one year and getting away from the good ole boy network to a smart female Birmingham lawyer!

I was in a heterosexual marriage for almost 17 years with two girls involved. I was Gay and coming out and knew I needed the best legal representation due to the stigma and disagreement by many. Without going into too much detail about my case, I was in a jam and for reasons beyond our control Ruth and I met for the first time just 5 minutes before the trial date of a custody hearing. This was a 5 year old case that had gone completely off the rails due in large part to an error in judgement I had made years earlier and then further exacerbated by an over zealous guardian ad liatem that I had asked to be appointed on my daughter's behalf. The GAL had completely convinced herself that she was right in figuring out that I had done something wrong even when all the evidence before her pointed to the contrary. With 5 minutes to prep Ruth on the most significant points of the case, we developed a strategy that took the legs right out from under the narrative being pushed forth by the GAL and the judge was wise enough to see through the clutter. My version of events made sense to what was known and did not require the leaps, jumps, and assumptions that were needed for the other. The truth can be stubborn like that sometimes. The odds were stacked against me but within minutes of having just met, Ruth understood the complexity of this case, comprehended the flaws in the GAL's logic and orchestrated a momentum shift that ended in a complete reversal of the tides. We won the case. Mind...Blown... Very impressed. The good guys won today. Thanks Ruth

I contacted Ruth Robinson on a Saturday regarding a warrant that was issued for failure to appear. On Monday, she filed a notice of appearance as my attorney and filed a motion to have the warrant recalled. The court told her they’d recall the warrant and set a new court date. Ruth was very professional, diligent, and went above and beyond for me. She listened to everything I told her, requested me to send her several screenshots and filed the necessary paperwork to get the warrant recalled and a new court date. Leroy Maxwell charge me $15,000 and never showed up to court. I’m assuming after looking through his Reviews he has a very good team that monitors his social media.
In fact after he took my $15,000 I could get a hold of him in no way it was only after hiring a new lawyer I found out I had a court case the next day. I was facing Over 30 years in the man did not bother to tell me I had a court date coming up. I was in jail for six months. I only met him once and that was the day I hired him. I could never get him on the phone nor could my wife. He refused to answer any questions at anytime. We tried to contact him. He act as if we were a nuisance. My we only tried to call Five or six times after we hired him.
As I said, I said in In jail for six months five of which he was my lawyer, and I was unable to get a hold of him. Thankfully, I was introduced to another lawyer who got me out of jail three days after hiring him.
Chad Barnett was his name Not recommend him enough. I was facing 30 years he Stayed in constant contact. If I could not reach him directly on the phone, he would always call me back within an hour or two the same day.
Again Maxwell was unreachable. I sat in jail for 5 1/2 months and talked to him twice. Again, one being the day I hired him and the next time I Heard from him was four months later when he sent an assistant to the county jail for me to sign some paperwork. After I heard Barnett, I was out of jail in two weeks during those two weeks he came to visit me in jail Twice and made sure I was aware of all my court appointments.
Also, every time I went to court, I heard someone looking for Maxwell their lawyer who had not showed up. The judge at that time even told the client that if he were her, he would hire a new lawyer because he gets this constantly with Maxwell. I’ve heard from other lawyers that he is a good lawyer. If it’s a case, he believes he can win and he can get a lot of money out of. But he will not be there for you. The way he should. Again, he charged me $15,000 never once went to court with me and never offered me a fraction of my money back. He took the whole $15,000. I would search the Internet for anybody but him I promise you he is not the lawyer his social media pages make him out to be. I will get my money back

Joe helped with the probate that my mother was named as personal representative. The process was fairly long and complicated and he was helpful and patient with us throughout. He also fought for her a couple of times when things got a little tough, once to get access to the safe deposit box where thewill was located. Every question we had was answered satisfactorily.
