Not sure about you, but I wouldn’t want an attorney that prioritizes their relationship with the opposing side over a client. This is especially true when the other side lied in writing. But go for it. Maybe him being friends with the person destroying your life is what you want. Not me. I want an attorney who will call it out.

I hired Attorney Feeney to provide me LOR services for my child visitation case. This took just a few short weeks, however, I was extremely impressed with the quality of her performance I received in that short amount of time.
The first thing was her sincerity, and her persistence throughout my case. She tried to find out the most promising option for her representation—she could’ve just gone to my first upcoming hearing, and her job would be done. However, she went above and beyond to provide me with positive results in return for my money. I know there aren’t many attorneys who would care like that.
Liz did the paperwork for both my hearing (the memo for my pretrial conference and the affidavit for my motion hearing). Both documents were prepared with impressive attention to every detail. Again and again, Liz kept forwarding her drafts to me and kept asking for my opinion. She appeared to be takin in consideration of every single detail I gave her. If she believed some of my suggestions couldn’t be used at this time, Liz always kept explaining her reasoning. She made me feel very much involved in our preparation process, and repeatedly didn’t mind spending he time to educate me about all kinds of legal technicalities.
Liz’s energy seemed to be limitless—I know it may be hard to believe, but Liz appeared to be working on our affidavit late on New Years Eve—I don’t know how many attorneys would be so work committed. Her appearance in court was more than impressive, especially when we were facing a tough judge, who appeared to have made up his mind before our hearing even started. I didn’t expect the judge to give in, not even a little, however Liz had her own way to work with the judge. She had such persistence, aggressiveness, but also a friendly style to talk to the judge, which she managed to get some positive results in return. Liz managed to beat our odds, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for representation in a family law matter.

It's hard to imagine any family law matter resulting in a positive experience. But that is exactly the experience that I had.
Elisabeth assisted on my case and actually handled a lot of the regular communications - especially as it related to the financial aspects of the case, which she was focused on. Elisabeth's attention to detail was impressive and when dealing with financials that's clearly a vital aspect of presenting a winning case.
Elisabeth was extremely responsive, always made herself available, and never hesitated to take extra time to throughly explain exactly what was going on. Very professional. I highly recommend Elisabeth and team.

Working with Meghan was an absolute joy. She is friendly and personable & so so quick & efficient. She was incredibly on top of things & I’m so grateful she was recommended to me. Where do I begin. Meghan was absolutely amazing. I came to Meghan not knowing anything about the process I was about to get involved with. She explained everything to me very thoroughly and did not leave any part of the process out. Honestly I cannot begin to explain how comfortable I became while working with Meghan. On top of being my attorney she became a support system for me. Meghan was always professional and extremely classy in all aspects. Even though this was one of the hardest times of my life, Meghan was able to guide me through, and the results show. Also I would love to add how professional and hard working Elizabeth was. Between Meghan and Elizabeth I knew I could always get a hold of them if I had a question.

Meghan is extremely professional, prepared, and responsive. I called her wanting to get my divorce done without litigation, but with a good result for me and my children. She was very understanding of my situation and made the divorce happen almost exactly as I had hoped it would. She has great follow through and eased this stay at home mom with disabled children through a very scary time. I highly recommend her.

Talked the talk but couldn’t walk the walk. Very intimidated by basically a real estate lawyer. It cost me a ton of $$ to get nothing. No fight at all. Backed down when confronted by a man is the only way I can say it. Denby is only in the game to make money. She didn’t fight for my sons rights and hopefully this review will piss her off enough to explain to me why I spent 30k to go backwards in the fight to see my grandchildren. She gives “divorce lawyers” a bad name. Totally useless until it comes time to pay up. I can’t believe she got beat up so bad by a very unscrupulous low life lawyer. Before calling her …. run Forrest run.

A most excellent family law attorney, and believe me, I know the difference. Having worked with lawyers for most of my employment history, Andrew stands out as one of the best. He showed a real interest, not only in my case, but in how it was affecting me and my children. My kids took a real liking to him and he always treated all of us with respect. His wealth of legal knowledge and skill meant there was never an unnecessary or overinflated charge, all filings and necessary actions taken care of in a timely manner. He always returned my calls promptly, and I never felt rushed, or as if what I had to say wasn't important. He has a strong courtroom presence, and I truly felt he had our best interests at heart throughout. Going through a divorce, you don't give trust easily, so for me to feel I could trust him speaks volumes not just to his skills, but his character. I got a call today from Neil sugarmen and I gotta say it was the most pathetic call I’ve ever had, probably the most cold hearted person I’ve ever talked to . If you are going through a malpractice case and are looking for a not only just a lawyer but a lawyer with a little more empathy and respect then this is not the place to go to . Every year Boston magazine publishes the results for top attorneys in Boston from different legal specialties, from business and criminal law to family and employment law. If there are top 100 attorneys; Edward Wayland would be voted as the top 10 WORST attorneys in Boston. I'm very grateful I had made the right decision to terminate him for ineffectiveness of his counsel. About few years ago, To today's day, I never regretted (terminating) firing Edward Wayland.
He almost ruined my life and my freedom. lack of communication, Failure to exercise diligence, ineffectiveness of his counsel, and Incompetence, Incompetence, and Incompetence. I'm in the process of filing a complaint against him to the Massachusetts Board of Bar Overseer; Attorney and Consumer Assistance Program (ACAP), I think he should get his license suspended or revoked. (everything I stated here is true except for the top 10 worst attorneys).

Definitely wouldn’t recommend. I had a slip and fall about 5 years ago… and just now got compensated, didn’t even get that much. In the time it took my injury suit closed out and settled, we went through an entire pandemic, I lost my father and my husband, I had a child, had a stroke, recovered from a stroke fully, was diagnosed with a heart condition and was no longer a minor. I still can’t believe how long it took. When I first called to start speaking with an attorney they said 12-18 months for payment and closure of the case. 5 YEARS later. Here we are. Wow. If you want a shark for an attorney who actually cares about you and your case, I don’t recommend Simon and Simon. Especially cause they took almost 2/3rds of my settlement money after I’ve been suffering for 5 years.
Today, I spoke to a gentleman from Simon and Simon after they had reviewed my review. We were able to have a conversation and spoke about the issues I had put above. He did tell me that he would speak to a few people about a communication issue and try to have that resolved in hopes this would help people in the future using Simon and Simon. As I appreciate the call and conversation about the issues I spoke of, I do not feel as if this review is wrong. I have chosen to keep this review up because even though I had a discussion with a representative, my issues still happened. And I do believe that other people should be made aware and have the opportunity to see how others were treated. I appreciate your time today, however I will not be removing this review. Thank you.

There has been many mistakes with my cases which led to delays and remakes. They messed up my wife’s greencard application 5 times that I had to figure out the issues and correct it and submit it again(this costed us 9 months). One of the most annoying experience was when they messed up the DS-260 of my mother’s application which led her to not get visa after interview and delayed her 3 more months. It is best to stay away from them if you want avoid remakes and long delays.

We were stuck and hired Edward. He did an extraordinary job against the oppositions "shark" of an attorney. He kept his integrity and did not resort to the other side's unscrupulous behavior and tactics. Went to this firm to help set up my franchise. Honestly was a horrible experience. Communication was terrible (I'd have to email the same question 4-5x before finally getting a response) and the quality even worse.
They literally took a generic franchise template, charged me thousands and then sent it to me with numerous mistakes throughout (citing anything from construction to nanny's - both had absolutely nothing to do with my business.
I went to a new firm who couldn't even use the FDD they created as there were so many mistakes throughout. Complete waste of time and money.

I am working with Attorney Kane and he is my second lawyer. He is very smart and has done more in a short period of time than my other counsel did in a year plus. I was told by my prior counsel that these ratings can be manipulated by Husbands and Wives on the other side of a case who are unhappy with the result of their case. This guy is reasonable and can advise on how a Judge might rule on an issue. I came to him because he runs the mediation program for the Middlesex Court. He was highly recommended by people who work at the court. I find personal recommendations better than these message boards. He is a five star.

I hired him with all sorts of promises of a 48 hours turn around for phone calls and contact. That he stood up to bullies etc. I left a firm that was even more expensive (but would have been less given that they would have gotten my due) to go to Marty Kane with all his promises. He NEVER gets back to you. He misses deadlines. His paralegal whose office is stacked with papers any no order does all the work. He is condescending. After my ex spent hundred of thousands of dollars without any motion against all my requests, I left him and ended up with so much less. He is asleep at the wheel, and then some. If you have any attention that your case needs, he is not your man. The people I interview to leave him said that they get so much business from them, because this is not a new story. Run from him. Even though he is one of the "Lawyers of the Year" it is because he fights these comments and his father teaches judges. STAY away. I know of no less than 10 other people who feel the same way.

2014-2015 - I contracted with Ms. Studen at Burns and Levinson to assist me in a case of sexual harassment from a subordinate employee under the aegis of the Massachusetts Administrative Laws . The opposing attorney clarified the final offer a few hours before it would terminate. Ms Studen and her associate assigned to the case were both unavailable on a Sunday evening at this most critical moment in my case. Hence, they were unable to review the clarification provided by the opposition and were unable to advise me before the offer was withdrawn. Sadly, I had contacted both of my attorneys by text message well before the deadline on that fateful Sunday to ask if there were any changes or communications from the opposition. There was no response to my query and
all was lost.
This is more than just a financial loss for me ($20K in fees and $25K in lost settlement offer). Unless I go before the Massachusetts SJC, there will never be closure for me from now until my dying day.

I was referred to Pollack Law Group by CLC Legal Program for divorce and child custody. When I spoke to McKenzie, she persuaded me to immediately meet her in the office and sign papers as the first step. She was very kind until I completed signing off papers and then it all stopped. I felt a woman lawyer would provide better representation and understand my situation. But, this attorney lacks basic human attributes. All she cares about is the money.
When I withdrew her representation, I was charged 1200$ for a 1 hr meeting and because I had to break commitment.
I had a terrible experience and I warn others to stay away.

Went to this firm to help set up my franchise. Honestly was a horrible experience. Communication was terrible (I'd have to email the same question 4-5x before finally getting a response) and the quality even worse.
They literally took a generic franchise template, charged me thousands and then sent it to me with numerous mistakes throughout (citing anything from construction to nanny's - both had absolutely nothing to do with my business.
I went to a new firm who couldn't even use the FDD they created as there were so many mistakes throughout. Complete waste of time and money.
