Just when I thought I lost all hope Mr Coppage was assigned to my custody battle case for my son. I’ve been going against my sons mother for almost 5 years in court trying to get custody over my son who’s been under my care Mr Coppage looked at me and said be honest with me and I’ll be honest with you do everything I tell you to do and the way that you are suppose to do it and well let the judicial system handle the rest. With his assurance and dedication to my case which he place major work into I came out on top winning and being granted the custodial guardian over my son. I have much pleasure in writing this review on my immigration lawyer, Roger Mark Newyear, Esq. I have never ever written a review on anyone or anything before, but because I decided to see Mr. Newyear based on a review I read on him, I decided to give this a try with the hope that it will be of a benefit to someone else. I have lived in the United States as an undocumented alien for nearly twenty (20) years and was not able to get my green card even though I hired a lot of lawyers and paid them large sums of money for their services. But, I got no results. Then I came into contact with Roger M. Newyear, Esq. He reviewed my case during a free consultation, after which he assured me that I was eligible to adjust my status and obtain a green card. Mr. Newyear was very open and honest with me and made it sound very easy as he painstakingly explained to me in minute details the steps that we will have to take in order to accomplish our objective. The truth was it was not easy at all, this is because my initial adjustment application was denied and I was being placed under removal proceedings at the time. This amazing legal expert immediately prepared and filed my motion to reopen and for reconsideration and vigorously fought for and defended me before the USCIS. At one point the government was even taking the position that our motion to reopen and reconsider was not timely filed, but Mr. Newyear would have none of that. His representation of me was competent, knowledgeable, courteous, passionate and professional. My application was finally approved in October 2014 and I got my green card. Last Christmas, I was able to travel home to my country of birth to visit my wife and family and to spend the holidays with them for the first time in nearly 20 years. None of this would have been possible without the assistance, competence, skill, knowledge and professionalism of Roger M. Newyear, Esq. I am eternally grateful to this outstanding legal scholar and professional and wholeheartedly recommend his legal services to anyone who is in need of it. You will not regret it. Roger Mark Newyear, Esq. is an extremely competent, dependable, experienced, professional and above all caring attorney. He is mostly interested in the welfare, and the best interest of his clients. His practical, pragmatic and honest approach towards solving legal problems is quite refreshing, and is very rarely found in legal professionals today. I was referred to Mr. Newyear's office by a friend of the family who recommended him very highly. I was under deportation proceedings and things were not going very well. I had paid my previous attorneys over $5000 in legal fees, but I could not see how they were helping my situation. On one occasion they did not even show up for my court hearing and had advised me not to appear either. Luckily, I followed my instincts and showed up or an arrest warrant would have been issued for me. Shortly afterwards, I was informed by my attorneys that I needed to give them $5000 more for them to prepare a 440 motion on my behalf. They further told me that if I do not have the money there was nothing more they can do for me. Mr. Newyear took on my representation, prepared my 440 motion, skillfully handled my representation in immigration court, and my case was decided in my favor. I owe my wonderful opportunity to remain, live and work in the United States to the skill, experience and expertise of attorney Newyear.

Bill was recommended to me by my financial lawyer to advise me legally regarding my drawn out divorce. He has literally been the most supportive, available, reliable and knowledgeable resource during this very draining process. Divorce is already messy, but with Bill's help I was advocated for effectively and aggressively. He accepted my calls and personally went out of his way to represent me, even discussing legalities outside office hours when it was the only time available. He would go over paperwork with me on the phone and made sure I was covered in the final agreement drafted by the mediator. I cannot recommend him enough. Esp to single women. His prices are more than reasonable for the care and experience he has and gives. There are A LOT of lawyers who take advantage of women in the frail emotional state of their divorces and charge them exorbitant hourly fees for hardly any real advocacy or work done on their part. Esp in NYC. So do your research and keep your lawyer on a tight leash if you decide to not go with Bill. Every time you talk to your lawyer, keep track of the length of phone calls, meetings and keep a paper trail. That way, when it comes to final invoicing, you've got all the documentation to show how much he/she should be charging. I was overcharged by one such lawyer and wrote a review about him on Yelp. Keep costs up front and talked about each time you speak with your lawyer. It's not personal, it's business. You have to think of it as a game of chess, and leave your emotions at the door. Lawyers are not therapists so don't get your time with them confused with talking about anything other than legalities and your case. I truly hope you hire Bill though because he is absolutely a gem in the midst of a lot of greedy Wall Street wolves. Good luck and stay smart ladies. I know how tough divorce is, so keep your support system strong cuz you cannot do it on your own. Bill will be in your corner the whole time and keep putting those boxing gloves on you each time until you get the best settlement possible. A paralegal friend of mine told me, "Lacey, you will not get the settlement you want. No one gets the exact settlement they want. But you can walk away with the best one, and when it's drafted, take it".

THE TRUTH ABOUT KAREN TAKACH.
When i called Karen, the first thing that i noticed was she wanted to LISTEN. Many attorney's are in a rush during an over the phone consultation. Karen gave me time to explain my situation and trust me; i was anxious, scared, stressed, and just miserable. My life felt upside down.. just a damn mess. My former landlord wanted me out of his apartment because i refused to give him more money than what Section 8 approved my share of the rent. My apartment failed inspection due to repair neglect since he was upset and refused to make repairs. The first marshall notice to evict me made my heart race,then fear, hysteria, and depression became settled in. I went to court on my own and the judge treated me like i was a roach..undeserving and unimportant. My landlord ofcourse had his attorney, so i immediately felt alone and voiceless. Constantly leaving work to do "Show Cause", I always left court upset and in tears-just being lied on and belittled.
After my last court appearance was the worse ever. lord's attorney coupled with the jud's harsh words made me want to cry. Instead, i stood tall, defended myself to the best of my ability, and took ever painful punch. I refused to let them see me broken. That is the day i seeked counsel.
After my consultation with Karen and Greg, i hired them (their a team). I left out feeling "lifted". The best part, Karen and Greg stepped in and i stepped out. Karen advocated for me and with her law knowledge, aggressive defense; kicked te landlord's atorney's ass AND slapped that smirk clean off that nasty judge's face. After she represented me, I HAD A VOICE AND THEY ALL RESPECTED ME!!!
Karen demanded my " Emergency Transfer Package" after i waited 1 year..i received in less than 3 weeks, the "Move-in" letter i waited 3 for (after my new apartment passed inspection Sept 13, 2012... i received in 2 days!!! Karen sued NYCHA and Section 8, for not generating my move date in a timely manner. Finally, i moved out and was blessed to find a beautiful apartment for me, my 2 girls, and our pets!!!
My bottom line??? I'll keep it simple so it will stick...
KAREN AND GREG ARE ABSOLUTELY THE BEST.

I became acquainted with Robert Laureano around 2006 when I would referred to him by a friend to represent me in a custody case. Robert worked diligently on my case to prevent my daughter's mother from violating my paternal rights and relocating with my child without my approval. Due to his hard work, we prevailed in the trial. I also retained Robert for my child support hearings where he negotiated directly with my daughter's mother and saved me from the major "bite" that she was intending on putting on me. I am so thankful to him for that. Just recently, I have just had a felony assault charge dismissed. When I was falsely accused of abusing my ex girlfriend I was dragged into Court. We just had an argument when I left our apartment, next thing I knew I was being arrested. I met Mr. Fields in criminal court where he had me out of jail with no bail within hours. Then next day I was served with a petition for family court. I called Mr. Fields and after a brief discussion I asked him to represent me in family court as well. I'm glad he agreed. One week later we met for two hours where he told me what to expect in the coming days and weeks in the criminal and family court case. I will admit, I called Mr. Fields about 5x's a week with questions due to my nervousness. Despite not being his only client, Mr. Fields was always courteous and professional. Many times I left the conversation laughing. Despite the seriousness of the situation, Mr. Fields always knew how to put me at ease. To make a long story short, Mr. Fields was able to prove that my ex lied about the entire situation. The family court case was dismissed after a quick trial. The criminal case on the other hand took a little longer, but this was not due to Mr. Fields. The charges were eventually lowered to a misdemeanor, then a violation. I'm so glad Mr. Fields believed in me and my story and insisted that I reject each offer. In the end the case was dismissed. Thank you Mr. Fields. This was my first and hopefully last experience with the legal system. I was a complete wreck during this ordeal and don't know how i would have gotten through it without Mr. Fields professionalism and compassion.
