I would highly recommend Venessa to anyone. I was looking for a new attorney when I came across Vanessa in my research. I was nervous, as I have had some attorneys that I don't feel really had my best interests at heart. When I visited with Vanessa and told her my situation she gave me a realistic understanding of my options. She showed care but also told me how it was. I can’t say Thank You enough to this law firm and Eric Winnert! We live approximately 5 hours from the office and Eric came to our home to get the much needed paperwork signed by my very ill spouse for a mesothelioma law suit. Poor man had to drive through the snow belt in February just to make sure we got what was needed before anything happened. Whenever I have questions and need to contact him, he is always there to give me answers. He has walked me step by step through every part of the process as my spouse was terminal and passed. Even when I haven’t bothered him in awhile, he will shoot me a text with any needed updates on our case! He’s very caring, empathetic , and personable with his clients and their family! No matter what we threw at him he always had a smile and a chuckle while maintaining his professionalism! Great Job Eric and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for what you have done and continue to do for me.

I already have a disability, born missing my left limb & no joint in my right thumb. She took my information & said someone would get back to me. She also, assured me that everything would be ok, try to relax & not think about his.
Karen Small handled my case & she kept me up to date on the process step by step. If there was something I did not understand, she would explain until I did. After hard work & dedication, delays, setbacks, we won July 2024.
I had trouble getting my medications, so I spoke with Sam Firestein concerning this matter. Within an hour, the issues were resolved & he followed the next week up to make sure I received the medication as scheduled & that everything was ok.

When I needed a divorce attorney, I did a Google search and found a lawyer who started off our interaction by answering the phone unprofessionally. After establishing that I was looking for a lawyer, he requested that I send him some information and told me that he would contact me later that day. When I did not hear back, I went to his website and filled out his online form and provided the information that he requested. When he finally contacted me a few days later (instead of later in the day as he said he would), he spelled my name incorrectly despite me providing it correctly on his website as well as it being spelled correctly in my email address to which he was replying. With each interaction, he made himself look more and more unprofessional and unreliable.
Dissatisfied with this amount of inaccuracy and unprofessionalism, I continued my search for a divorce lawyer. Then I found Katelynn Johnson, who embodied professionalism, expertise, and helpfulness. Thanks to her knowledge of both the law and the judicial system, my case proceeded to a successful resolution as fast as could be. She was prompt, courteous, and truly cared that she was helping a human being. The process was smooth and seamless with no issues at all as well as faster than expected.
I cannot say enough good things about Attorney Johnson. Anyone who needs a divorce in the Buffalo area could not go wrong with Katelynn Johnson.

Not sure why, but right from the start Beth seem annoyed and unwilling to listen to the specifics of
my divorce. She suggested that I move out because abandonment doesn’t exist anymore and that I should start preparing for a huge child support payment that is inevitable and mandatory, and that my prenuptial agreement was worthless and unenforceable after 6 years of marriage. She told me that regardless of the circumstances my ex-wife will get custody and to prepare myself for that. She certainly didn’t feel like she was helping me, more like she was trying to do a little as possible to get through the case, or even make it easier for my ex to get the judgements she wants. 3 other lawyers told me very different things in their consultations. I hired a different lawyer.

I have been with Sawer & Sackel for 3 separate workers comp claims and have been very unsatisfied until recently. Up until Holly took ownership in my cases I was left wondering what was going on. I was the one that had to initiate any and all inquiries into correspondences from the insurance carrier. And I rarely spoke with a lawyer and it was Never the same individual. Since working with Holly things have change my thinking entirely. She has taken ownership in my case and has gone above and beyond my expectations (or at least what my expectations of a law firm should be) and have reaffirmed my choice in a workers compensation law firm. Holly will initiate and follow up on all inquiries and respond in a timely manner. I have enjoyed working with her and look forward to a positive outcome in my pending cases.

I’ve been with Sawers & Sackel for a few months. From day one, they have been professional and answered all of my questions. Going through this process has been difficult. Aside from the office staff/paralegal this was an abysmal experience. I met with Michael and explained what I was looking for from him. In the initial meeting he told me a little about the process and charged us the fee.
I didn’t hear back from him for 3.5 months. When I called him to ask for an update you could hear the panicked paper rustling in the background. He said he’s been meaning to call me and set up a meeting for me to sign what he prepared, basically a two page document riddled with errors. He said he would keep me posted along the way.
I didn’t hear from him again for a couple weeks when I again reached out to him. He said he would call me the next week with an update.
Two weeks later I had to call him for an update because he never reached out.
The work I needed from him was eventually completed but I can’t help but feel like I was his lowest priority client and he made no efforts to communicate with me.
I will be looking for another law firm for my future estate planning and real estate needs.
I’m sure some of the lawyers here are fantastic because there are so many good reviews and my families attorney had recommended them, but I will not be using this firm again.

For some reason I couldn’t reply on the review I wrote but I only asked for a price estimated range because I wanted to be prepared which is a common question anywhere you go not everyone is going to know how things like this work or if it’s worth something so you ask questions to make sure to be prepared. The lady continuously kept cutting me off as I spoke that’s rude no need to leave your number because I’m not calling back to this place another firm actually reached out and I was treated with respect and they answered my question with no problems about the price estimate and was very respectful and herd me out on my concerns. Take notes mabey you’ll learn how to be respectful to ones that come for help to your firm.

Months into working with Denis, I received an official court document in the mail that stated if I did not complete a court requirement (a simply online course) in SIX days, my case would be CLOSED. I was able to complete this requirement any time after 10/11, and it needed to be completed and submitted by 12/11. Denis did not notify me of this requirement one single time, and I even had a video meeting and exchanged emails with him on 10/11! The only reason I was able to complete the requirement online is because of the notice the court sent- NOT because Denis instructed me to. He was made aware of this, and has still not even acknowledged this or apologized. On top of almost costing me my entire case, I don’t know that the man answered a single one of my questions, would go missing for weeks at a time (the longest I did not hear back from him was 6 weeks), did not hand in MANY necessary documents to the courts on time, and still has not returned my voicemail from September, that I even reminded him about via email.

Hired Kelly who seemed very nice and helpful. She carried my case all the way, able to get custody against my ex, and child support as well. I was hoping to keep things amicable, but unfortunately, Kelly seemed to escalate everything in court, from insinuations to allegations which I did not request her to make.
I am appreciative of what she did for me, but it really made co-parenting with him impossible. Things are now not amicable making things impossible for me to communicate with the father of my children.

For some reason I couldn’t reply on the review I wrote but I only asked for a price estimated range because I wanted to be prepared which is a common question anywhere you go not everyone is going to know how things like this work or if it’s worth something so you ask questions to make sure to be prepared. Evictions can already be frustrating but running to a lawyer to help and not getting the help was even more frustrating. Tenant’s case was pending from the beginning to waiting on government assistance and that being said in the state of New York the process can’t move along as quickly as you would want. But as far as this attorney, it was not the best experience at all. Took so long with responses and even worse, never got any responses after awhile. Emailed, called and text but wouldn’t get any reply for days. One of the many examples was getting a reply about 2 weeks later that the hearing was adjourned and/or set for another date due to the tenant’s pending case with ERAP. With that same text he wanted an update but then sent an email and never heard back from him. Not sure what I did or my case wasn’t big enough to accept and cash in but good luck to anyone who is willing to choose this firm to work with.

She significantly assisted my ex in completely alienating my child from me.
