Mark is one of the most proficient and calculated lawyers ever. Would say he doesn’t boast how efficient he is so I’ll speak for him. He fights tooth and nail for you and knows his work. Was referred to him from my personal lawyer and he’s worth every cent he requests. Almost like after he’s done you may feel you owe him more the way he represents you in the court no matter what evidence may or may not against you. Dismissal was my result. I was referred to Mr Pettrey by my personal lawyer regarding a formal separation with my husband. My lawyer could not handle the case because in the past he had done work for us both . Mr Pettrey is a no nonsense , determined lawyer that WILL yield results for his client. My husband did not want to do anything , tried to change the terms of our agreement . Bart was the best decision I ever made. I had a child custody battle that lasted for years and was very stressful. Bart was right along my side through it all. Ms.Lu Aloupas is awesome. I am a father/Soldier that lives in North Carolina that was enduring alot of resistance from my children's Mother that lives in Virginia regarding Custody/Visitation. I called Lu Aloupas and explained to her everything that was going on and she jumped right on it. We then went to court on the day and she held her ground on what I told her I wanted and now instead of me only getting to see my kids 3 times a year I now get them every other week and more. 12 July 2016 Lu Aloupas is an extraordinary lawyer. I had an issue with a neighbor who asked the court to grant a Protective Order against me. I was innocent, but I did not have the knowledge to fight this on my own. Based on online reviews, I decided to call The Law Offices 0f Lu Aloupas. This is the best decision I’ve made in a long time. In our first phone call she patiently listened to my jumbled story (I was nervous) and then advised me what to do immediately. She then asked if I would like to come to her office (she has offices in Hampton and Chesapeake) and because she sounded so knowledgeable (and calm) I agreed. When I met her in the Hampton office we went through the basics of the case and then she asked if I would like to retain her services. We discussed the price, and I agreed. Here is my opinion about the cost. Of course I think that lawyers make waaaay to much money. But as I found out, if you don’t hire a lawyer, you will be overwhelmed by the system, and by stress. Her prices are fair. There might be a cheaper lawyer, and I know there are more expensive lawyers, but her value in my case totally justified the cost. My case was heard at the York County Circuit Court. On the date of the court hearing we met before the scheduled time and she explained exactly what would happen. She said “I know you are nervous, but stay as calm as you can.” I thought that’s easy for her to say. She told me to not be surprised if the other party changes his story, it happens all the time. She said not to react to this, that she would handle it. Just listening to her gave me confidence and remarkably, I was less nervous. From the beginning the outcome never seemed to be in doubt. The other party represented himself (huge mistake) and Lu was like a TV lawyer. You honor “Motion to Separate”, objection your honor “Relevance”, Move to Strike Your Honor “Hearsay”. The Judge sided with Lu every time. The Judge dismissed the request for a protective order against me and restored all my rights. I was like someone lifted a building off my shoulders. You might have heard the saying that nobody likes lawyers until you need one. I can personally testify that if you are involved in any legal action you need a lawyer. And if you need a great lawyer, at a fair price, I can, without reservation or hesitation, recommend Ms. Lu Aloupas, Esquire. Dave

Every divorce is as unique as the individuals involved. I originally hired a large national family law firm to represent me. Their business model was not able to address my personal concerns regarding the divorce. I hired SuAnne in the middle of my contested divorce. She understood my concerns, my values and was able apply that information into “attorney speak”. She affectively communicated with the opposing party’s attorney, negotiated when reasonable and most importantly knew when to stop negotiating. SuAnne rigorously protected my rights as a father and now I can get on with the business of actually parenting my children. BTW: I was VERY pleased with my negotiated financial settlement! I could go on forever, do yourself a favor, stop looking and hire Ms. Bryant.

Suanne has been a wonderfully lawyer she as well as her paralegal are great with communication. C. Ewing always took time to explain in detail how things may turn out. Extremely fair and listens to everthing. Divorce is extremely difficult to say the least and Cindy makes that process less stressful a n d takes some of that burden off your shoulders. Any questions are answered in a timely manner by Cindy and the staff is helpful, pleasant and easy to talk with. Hiring Mrs. Ewing is and was a no brainer.

I hired Cindy to represent me in a family dispute, and she did a phenomenal job on my case. She was very methodical in her approach, and kept me informed every step of the way. I really appreciated her willingness to be receptive to my feedback and/or suggestions. She wouldn't just brush my feedback to the side, or leverage her professional experience to minimize my voice on the issues as they were occurring. She would listen, and carefully explain her stance on my feedback while addressing the approach she would be taking moving forward. Mr. Mulford is always responsive and really knows what he is doing. He is always on top of things. He gives good advice and was able to keep be from being an emotional wreck while fighting with my ex over everything. Mr.Mulford is very professional and knows what he is doing. When I would think there was no hope, he would prove that he had everything under control.

First of all, may I compliment on how awesome he is??? The most affordable lawyer I have ever seen for a case like this. So affordable I don't even want to post how little my fiancé (at the time) had to pay in case he changes his rate into the future. That's how affordable and fair he is. In all fairness, I did his filing for him. Haha If you have a lazy gold digger for a wife who wants to take your money bone dry he is definitely your man. I would say he is the best divorce lawyer in Hampton Roads. The best quality and price that I have ever seen. And he will end it! End it! End it!!!! He got her to agree to terms of my fiancé to sign...and this is a woman who initially wanted to murder him! I thought I was saving a life when we met. Anyway... I know he thinks he was always in email corrospondance with my fiancé but it was always me that emailed him, found him in the first place and made things looked like my fiancé had sent it. I did it out of love *sigh* at the time *sigh*. Only thing he ever did when it came to you was verbally speak. Never email. You were always speaking to yours truly. I'm just really good with writing things. Kinda my schtick. I wasn't impressed with any other 10 or so lawyers I checked out, some even in person...I thought he was screwed. Lol. Because my fiancé at the time had no money because he pays child support and apparently still doesn't understand responsibility until he has to get it court ordered. Which I think is ridiculous. Who likes court??? Mark is your man. He can handle it. He may be the only one that I could ever envision to be chipper in court. Probably because he knows he's going to win. Lol: So glad I found him because prior to him, he had another lawyer I literally fired. So when I found this website I remembered I forgot to rate the poor man! Mark! Here's a read so long it will make up the time it took for me to actually rate you. Finally, a message to Mark. You did such a wonderful name on my fiancé's case. Mr. Woods handled my DUI case very well. He met with me twice prior to the first court date, and again the day before to refresh his memory. At the trial he was excellent throughout, pointing out inconsistencies in the police officer's testimony that, in my opinion, had the judge on the verge of acquittal. Mr Short and his secretary were very responsive and helpful. He recommended I do some things to help with my case. He showed up promptly before the court hearing and quickly got my reckless speeding (20 over in a bad spot that’s heavily patrolled) reduced to improper driving.

We had a friend who skipped out on probation when he was released back in 2020. He has been incarcerated for almost 2 months. We drove from NC for the hearing and James explained everything in detail from the best case scenario to the worst, depending on the Judge. He later told us he liked the judge and that there was a good chance our friend would get out that day. Everything went just as he said and we were able to take him back to NC that evening. James was great, he did not sugar coat anything and we could not be more happy with the result. If you are looking for a great lawyer this is the one. Thanks James.

Very disappointed in Mr Barlow and his handling of my daughters case - he was good as long as he was with the judge he wanted but when he was moved to another judge he sat like a bump on a log and did nothing - he did no defense or challenged the prosecutor in any way - he told me later that the outcome would have been totally different if the case had not been moved which I believe was done intentionally as this case had to do with drug court -which all this will hopefully be exposed soon- my daughter talked to several lawyers before choosing Mr Barlow who bragged on himself and took our money but then failed horribly in the court room - I do not even want yo give 1 star to be honest!

I received a ticket for an accident that was my fault. A friend recommended that I contact Mr. Barlow. I dealt with his para legal Miss Whitmore who walked me through the entire process, she explained whar would be needed and the time frames. I was kept up to date on any changes. she was very friendly and pleasant ,answered all of my questions and messages in a very timely manner. We went to court and my case was dismissed. The judge made a comment that all documentation and driving course that she would have recommended had been completed. I believe this was all due to the guidance of Mr. Barlow And Miss Whitmore. Their expertise and knowledge Made the entire process smooth. This outcome means my driving record.Will show the ticket was dismissed and also my insurance did not go up due to the driving course which they had advised me to do. I am very pleased with the service and would recommend Mr. Barlow To family and friends if needed.

I was going through a very difficult extended divorce. My first lawyer and I did not see eye-to-eye, I found Lu through a Google search and I am so thankful! Lu took over and fixed everything. My divorce involved a difficult custody battle, military assets, property, retirement accounts, and more. Bronwen attempted to negotiate and got the other side to agree and accomplished there goal of getting me to cancel a hearing. Then, closed my case. So I paid for a negotiation that Bronwen got approved just for her to tell me they don't have to pay. So I lost the money I was to be repaid and had to pay her the amount for doing completely nothing.

I’m not one to usually write reviews, but under these circumstances it seems appropriate. I hired ms Shannon to represent my sister on a motion to reconsider and at the beginning she seemed very sincere in her desire to help. Something had changed once she got paid and it seemed like i was working for her instead of her working for me. After all it must be a very strenuous process to write a letter under these current times we live in. My sister by no means is a bad person she suffers from addiction and nothing more then a possession charge. My father has been in and out of the hospital for the past 4 months and will soon pass without seeing his daughter again. I have lived in another state for years and get back to visit pretty regularly. However i cannot stay full time to help out. It took her three weeks to get the motion ready after i had given her information about the second part of my sister sentence which is a useless subcontracted state run reintroduction program. After waiting the 3 weeks and finally seeing the motion she wrote it wasn’t even close to the information i had given her. The state i was living in was wrong, my fathers ailments and the severity of them was incorrect. I had given up at that point and decided to accept things as they are. I am aware that most individuals usually have things going on in their lives which prevent them from being present, however i would not recommend her under any circumstances . She appears to Andy be in it for a buck and she is really not that good at it. Her assistant was very pretentious and you would think she is the one with the law degree.

As an out of state driver that was ticketed in Virginia, I was concerned that I would not be able to keep the ticket off my record. I hired Kristen Shannon by phone and we had several conversations about the importance of keeping the ticket off my record. Kristen suggested that I provide a clean driving abstract, do an online defensive driving school and let her do the rest. I'm happy to report that Kristen was able to have my speeding ticket dismissed with no further cost, and no damage to my driving record. Thank you, and although I hope to not need your services for a traffic violation, if I ever do, I am sure to call!!

I am an extremely satisfied Commercial Driver of 20 years!!! Attorney Shannon's knowledge of the charge I was ticketed with and the assurance that this would not follow me into my future, put my mind at ease. Every question concerning my case was answered before my court date. She and her staff were personable and very professional. I live in the Richmond area of Virginia, and had to call at least 7 attorneys in the Va Beach Area and Attorney Shannon was the best choice !!! I recommend her highly to professional drivers and other drivers as well !!!

C. Eric Plumlee drags his feet to get more more money from you. He's arrogant and is only after one thing. Money. Seek other counsel especially if you're going through a divorce/custody battle. This practice will drain your bank account.

Mr. Plumlee recently worked on my case with 100% professionalism. I've truly never seen an attorney work the courtroom like him. He is incredibly knowledgeable but is also incredibly personable. He cuts to the chase and is very genuine in how he views, explains, and practices the law. Absolutely would hire again!

I have hired C. Eric Plumlee for numerous issues as he has earned my trust. Nice quaint office, he works well for me needs. I really appreciate that he keeps a Bible in the reception area. I've never seen any other lawyer do that and it meshed with my faith and values. We have a good relationship and I recommend his practice.

I have hired Mr. Barlow twice now, and he has done a great job of communicating with me and got me some of the best deals possible with the prosecutor that he could have gotten. He is always very nice when I go in to talk with him and has a calm demeanor. If I ever hear of anyone with legal problems, I give them his card. I've hired 5 other lawyers in my life and none have been nearly as professional as Mr. Barlow.

She was the court appointed attorney for my kids, who claimed to fight for their needs. After repeatedly saying that they wanted less time with their dad and stepmom, she literally became a second attorney for my ex husband. We went 7 months without any contact from her, then less than a week before trial she pops back up and only visited him. My kids asked for no more than a week with their dad each month. Their dad wants to split custody and her entire report stated his argument. She did not do her job and now my son texts me almost every week that he is with his dad saying how much he hates it there. It’s sad and depressing. She did not do her job.

As a long standing client of Ms. Cornatzer's, I had a child custody case in which she was my attorney. After one consultation, she was hired. She was very professional, punctual and honest. I hired Attorney Cornatzer Slate for my difficult divorce. During this overwhelming experience, she lifted the weight of worry of confusion by explaining all of my rights and options and the best way to handle everything. This lawyer Wes ver unprofessional, He waited until he used all of my money unti he told me that he was not going to be able to help me. He schedule two appts. for me and he waited that day of and cancel both appt. at the last minute and I took of work both days and I had to take him to court and ended up firing him be cause I was very dissatisfied. So please think twice before hiring this so call lawyer. Never again.
