Robin Beattie...Hands down the best Lawyer for family law! She didn't just teach me the law and help me represent myself to the courts, she taught me how to speak and present myself in a way the courts will listen. She helped me to stand strong and keep fighting for my girls. Which I did. In the end I had a Decision Maker dismissed, a Child Investigation Report thrown out that stated they should live with their Dad and, the best part, standing up to a narcissistic and abusive person defeated him and he signed over full custody with the snap of my fingers. I'm a shark because of her. I not only won against the ex and the courts, I carried all of the skills I learned from her into my business and day to day life. I might not be a lawyer, but I sure do know the law better than I did. The most important lesson I learned through my time with Robin was that the courts do not care about how you feel. Not at all. They care about the law so you have to speak to them like you're a law book.

I had a personal injury case pressing the statute of limitations of 2 years from a car wash accident. I called this law firm got a hold of Trent in September 2023 with a February deadline he literally and his staff got going on this case ASAP. His staff and Trent found who the insurance carrier was from Car wash fast and talked
To all witnesses. This law firm is honest snd sincere they made sure the client got more than the law firm and Trent and his staff were amazing to work with. If you need a divorce lawyer, Michael Switzer is the lawyer for you! His kindness and understanding helped me through a very difficult situation. He was able to deal with a manipulative narcissist who thought I deserved less than half of my share but thanks to Michael and his expertise and thoroughness, along with his Paralegal (Rustam), I had excellent representation and got the settlement I deserved. I not only consider Michael an excellent lawyer, I also consider him a great friend!

I hired Sergei because the initial consultation was smooth, and everything laid out was in line with my objectives. After I hired him, there were long periods where he was working other cases and came back to mine only when the deadline was coming due. He would then work late, last minute phone tag with my ex and I without any kind of recording, and when we went to court, my ex had pretended like none of the conversations had happened. Additionally, while sitting in court he would have casework on his computer for another client...definitely not my case because the names in the documents were none of my kids, my ex, or me. During the breaks at court he would be on the phone with other clients, and not discussing what to expect while at court, what was coming, or what he was going to do for me on my case. As the months had dragged on in this process, his clerk would file paperwork with the court that had material errors that needed to be corrected (at my expense, again), and these documents would continue to drag out my case because the financial numbers were so inflated my ex would continue to refer back to them and I'd have to provide the same statements over and over again. When he would "bargain" with my ex, it always came to surrendering more and more of my assets in exchange for moving things along. Giving up 60%, then 65%, then 70% of my 401 in exchange for getting the divorce settled and over with. I eventually had to ask that he no longer represent me in my divorce because I couldn't afford his services. There was further dispute when the severance date was, and this was adjudicated in court as well when he placed a lien on any marital assets I may be awarded. In addition to the disputed bill, I was billed for the hourly rate of him and others at his firm to file suit against me, also being added to the lien. This debt, for several thousands more, is currently in collections and I'm looking at a chapter 7 to get clear of it. I'm glad some people were pleased with his services...but I regret hiring him with every collection call I receive.

I had a few lawyers before Sergei for the last four years on my son's custody case. The previous lawyer created so much mess in my son's custody case. Sergei took care of some of her mess very well. He guided me so well and force another party to offer an agreement with me.

I regret that I ever trusted Burnham law and specifically Kristin Weaver and Leslie Shafer with case. Not only they did not deliver as promised but they are way overpriced for the services they provided. Since Leslie is the principal I was hoping to receive atleast some sort of customer service from her instead she was covering up for her council that was practicing less than a year. I reached out to Leslie on multiple occasions hoping she would assist me as a paying client but instead she sent me threatening email after I questioned what was done and requested explanation.

I hired Miles to represent me in a traffic case in which I was unable to attend the court date. In the end, he got me the best possible outcome regarding the tickets, however, the process leading up to the court date was a little shaky. It was often difficult to reach him and I felt as though I had to keep an eye on the process. He would not ask for paperwork from me, instead, I periodically had to check in with him to ensure he had everything he needed from me. Finally, on the court day, he called looking for more files. I would have expected them to check and make sure they had everything before the court date.
But like I said, in the end, everything worked out so I can't complain.

I contacted Mr. Cabral immediately after getting my ticket. The ticket said it was a misdemeanor traffic violation and I didn't want a chance to go to jail or the stress of having to deal with this on my own. Mr. Cabral worked on my case right from the beginning and kept in contact with me with each step. The ticket was written incorrectly so no one was going to take responsibility at the clerks office to determine which way to interpret the ticket. Mr. Cabral must have visited my case at least 5 times or more before meeting me. He was very professional and approachable. The $500 I paid was well worth the trauma and stress I didn't have to go through.

This may not be what you are looking for but as a surgeon, I hate all lawyers and I owe them nothing. In my long experience I am hostile toward any lawyer and believe lawyers' reputations are very well deserved. Especially the divorce and custody lawyers that I've experienced in three states over the last 25 years.
In spite of that I have been asked to provide my realistic criticism of this law firm. I told them they may not know what they are asking for.
However, on further thought I had to admit that 10 years ago this law firm permanently changed my five children's lives for the better forever. After a long legal struggle. This firm did it again last year after we moved back to Colorado.
This firm is a product of legal wisdom and experience
Fact is, if I had to do this again I could never go to another law firm. Hinds law firm corrected erroneous custody decisions in Colorado years ago when it was impossible to do so. They did it again after I moved back from two states that had prehistoric family laws designed to protect uncaring moms instead of the welfare of your children.
I know from my research this law firm has influenced family law legislation in Colorado enough to change current Colorado law to become more enlightened and focused on the children. There are no other law firms in my three states let alone Denver with this kind of legacy.
And the courts know this law firm. Courts know that they will represent solid cases. Especially those that have the true interest of children involved. If you come to this outfit with BS they will tell you.
Trust me you need to know.

When I hired Rob less then a year ago, I was coming off a very disappointing experience with a different lawyer and was unsure what to expect from the legal community. Since the first moment I met Rob, he was invested and caring. I was involved in a custody dispute, where I ended up fighting for the ability to see my child. Rob jumped in headfirst and poured every resource that he and the firm had into my case. He dealt with an aggressive and frustrating OC with class and honor, as well as kept my expectations grounded, never shying away or shielding me from the unpleasant realities of the case.
The legal strategy and presentation during the trial was perfect. He did exactly what was necessary for me to walk away with the legal authority to raise my child. Rob delivered an emphatic victory on a case that was everything but a sure thing.
Following the trial and the subsequent fall out from the other side, Rob remained levelheaded. He continued to do what was best for my case. I remember clearly something Rob said to me that I think epitomizes his philosophy; when I become frustrated with opposing council, he called and after patiently listening to me said, "This is why you have a lawyer, so you don't do something emotional and ruin everything you have worked for."

Tawni was honest about the extra expense of going to trial and encouraged mediation. When we couldn't settle in mediation she was fully prepared for the trial the following day. She was direct when I wandered off subject. I was impressed with her organization and attention to detail. She thinks before she speaks, she is innovative and collaborative. I liked that a lot, I felt involved in my own divorce. She is responsive, thorough and was always at appointments or hearings prior to the appointed time. She is cool, calm, collected, and tough; all of which I needed in this case. She did not disappoint. In fact she changed my opinion of divorce lawyers. I felt cared about.

Lee is a terrible lawyer, never answered calls or met dead lines. I found out his law license was suspended for illegal narcotics dealing and cultivation. This was hard to read to say the least. He is a careless individual who will do anything to get more money. He used to be a “ambulance chaser” just took accident cases when it was convenient and money was in it for him, now he is exploiting the patio community and taking their hard earned money. I suggest you stay far far away from this attorney and person.

I hired this attorney through Upright Law and sorry I did. When I went in to sign my papers in the beginning, I felt rushed and alone as she was doing something else and left me to sign papers in the office by myself. After bankruptcy was discharged, I was trying to contact her via phone and email for weeks to ask when I would be getting my discharge papers and to ask a question about my case with no reply. Her secretary apologized today and that is when I called Upright Law to complain to them about her and to ask when I can get my discharge papers. Upright law will be sending me my discharge papers via email so I can finally get on with my life!

Heather Mitchell is an absolute crook. She will take your money, and not communicate with you when you are paying her for her communication and advice! Then when you call her out on her lack of communication, she will then threaten to vacate the case.I paid her over $15K in just 3 months, and she did absolutely nothing for me. I mean nothing. She was not prepared for my temporary orders hearing for the custody battle I was facing for my son. I showed up an hour early, on my request, hoping that we could utilize that hour to get on the same page seeing as to how we were about to be in front of the judge on Web x, and there was very little to no communication at all. When I arrived, she wanted to talk about anything and everything except for the details of my case. She also informed me that her and her helper were dealing with 51 other clients. 51!!!!!! How could just two people be handling and truly caring about 51 cases?! That’s when I knew she was only there for the money, not to help me and my son. She seemed wonderful when we interviewed her, but after that was all downhill. Talk about adding so much more stress into an already extremely stressful time. STAY AWAY from this crook! I promise you that you will not be happy with her ethics or her performance. I repeat, STAY AWAY!!!!

My case was unique and took way longer to resolve than first anticipated. The cost was higher than originally anticipated, but it was due to the complications of the case. They were always helpful when questions arose. The only negative is the original lawyer quit and moved on so I had to have another lawyer assigned, but it did not really affect the outcome.

Do not hire Patrick Fitzgerald. This has by far been the worst experience I have ever had. Mr Fitzgerald will make deals with the DA that you did not approve of and use your case against you to make you feel like less of a human being. He will criticize, curse and hang up on you if you question what he is doing and why he is making deals without your consent. Absolutely horrible!!
